Why Wayne or Linda Gibbs 208-639-1179 . Local San Pancho No. 311-258-4386 chose Nayarit

Rare combination of ocean views and access to a secluded beach. Jungle vegetation on three sides compliments the vast horizon of the Pacific Ocean. Very large three-bedroom house with over 3,000 square feet of floor area plus decks and patios. Infinity pool provides great ocean views. As nature lovers we could not resist this combination of ocean and jungle environments and the associated variety of bird and animal life.

What makes this house unique

When We First Saw This Property We Were Stunned by the Endless Horizon of the Pacific Ocean and Resolved to Build a House Where That Horizon Was Always in View. the Opportunity to View Whales, Dolphins, and Vast Schools of Fish While Drinking a Margarita On the Deck is Fairly Unique.

Beautiful views! Wow, you can stare out the windows or sit on the porches or balconies forever. The location and environment are quiet and relaxing. The home is beautiful, just like the pictures. The property managers were very attentive! The village is an easy 5-10 minute drive away.

We loved our stay here and enjoyed the beautiful village of San Pancho. We will be coming back!

Casa Chachalaca is located on the Pacific coast about one mile north of the village of San Francisco. The house is perched safely above the sometimes crashing ocean surf. Adjacent jungle vegetation provides habitat for a variety of birds and animals. Local birds include the very large and very loud chachalaca, magpies, hawks, owls, fly catchers, woodpeckers, wood creepers, hummingbirds, doves, elegant and citreoline trogans, etc. Winter migratory birds include blue, orange-breasted, painted and indigo buntings, orioles, summer tanagers, russet-crowned mot mots, pale bill caciques etc. Local animals include ring tail coatis, gray foxes, raccoons, opossums, and armadillos. Both green and spiny iguanas are common around the house. Humpback whales can be seen from the house from November through April and they frequently put on acrobatic displays of breeching, tail slapping and spinning. A large contingent of the Mexican shrimping fleet trawls just off shore from October through April providing a colorful light display at night.

Large flocks of seabirds, including pelicans, sea gulls, and frigate birds soar along the coast line, usually at eye level from the main and upper floors of the house. During late winter pelicans congregate in large flocks of forty to fifty birds and are most impressive to see as they glide past.

The new and spectacular La Patrona Polo Club is opening a new site in November, 2015 and will provide polo matches, equestrian performances, and fine dining. The new facility is located less than one mile from Casa Chachalaca.

The Las Huertas Golf Club is located on the way to the village, less than 3/4 of a mile from the house. This nine-hole course has a year- round source of irrigation water and is kept in immaculate condition. Though most holes are short, elevation and trees provide a real challenge.

The Village of San Francisco (San Pancho) is located about one hour north of the City of Puerto Vallarta and its modern airport. Puerto Vallarta has many entertainment, fine dining and shopping opportunities. Ocean fishing charters, sailing tours and jungle adventures can also be arranged there.

The City of Tequila, the birthplace of tequila distilling, is about a three hour drive toward Guadalajara. The city includes the Jose Cuervo museum and distillery and tours of the tequila manufacturing process are available daily. The nearby City of Magdalena is known for producing brilliant fir opals.

The drive from San Pancho to Tequila transitions from coastal forest to oak and pine at higher elevations and then to sprawling fields of blue-green agave stretching to the horizon.

Casa Chachalaca was designed to catch daytime breezes off the ocean and night time breezes from the hills. All windows have screens to alleviate insect problems all year. Although all bedrooms have air conditioning, air conditioning and fans are not really needed in the house from November through April in most years.

The entryway to the front door is covered by a nice palapa that provides a great winter sitting area for drinking coffee and observing bird life around the house. Plants that suffer in the full Mexican sun, thrive under the shade provided by the palapa.
