Cabin in the woods
Lovely cabin, enjoyed watching a chipmunk outside and sitting on the veranda with a coffee. Debbie was a lovely host, only wish we could stay longer.

Cute and comforting!
I just got back from spending a few nights at that chalet cabin with my two kids. It was very charming and relaxing. It had everything I needed to cook and it even had a grill outside which was nice for the hot weather we had. Debbie installed an air conditioner for us which we very much appreciated. We had a fire each night and enjoyed the trails/land. There were deer that came to visit each day which was nice to see. It was pretty private which I loved because I didn’t have to worry about my kids being too loud and I could relax. There is another cabin nearby but we had separate spots and there was plenty of land for everyone. My kids got to run around and there were even some lawn games available for them to play with. I enjoyed the front deck where I started and finished a book with the nature all around me. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the cabin was clean! Debbie helped me plan some my trip before I even got there. We spent a day at a local lake and another at Acadia National Park. My kids are already asking when we can go back! I have not one complaint to say 😀 very relaxing and fun.

Hidden Paradise!
This is a great place to stay if you're looking to enjoy peace and quiet in a true countryside environment. Debbie is super friendly and accommodating; she already had a lot of the things we were worried about needing to bring. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy wildlife, stargazing, and nature in an area with rich history.

Great stay!
The stay at the cabin was fantastic! It was great getting out of the city and into nature. Debbie was great! She was kind enough to call multiple stables trying to book horse riding for us. It was unfortunately too muddy when we went but we still had a great time. The trails are also clearly marked and make for great hiking.

About the host

Host profile image
Exeter has been a family gathering place and we have had numerous family holidays, get-to-gethers and two weddings here. The younger generation of our family spent their childhood exploring the woods and nature here. Betty & Richard always wanted Exeter Nature Cabins to be about keeping a natural area for animals and nature education.

Why they chose this property

It's peaceful, beautiful, soul renewing place to stay. EVERYONE who stays here says they love it. There are activities for everyone. If your a homebody, then stay on the deck and enjoy the wildlife from there. There are hiking trails that range from leisurely to more challenging. We are just starting to build a place where folks can come and learn more about the woods and natural environment around them. We don't have those opportunites when we live in the city.
