This 9500 sq ft. home is built at the end of Lower Pacheco Canyon. There are 9 bedrooms,
6.5 baths in a three building compound. The house is on 17 acres and
is contiguous to the Santa Fe National Forest with its many miles of hiking trails. The
house has panoramic mountain views and the location is very private but only 15 minutes
from the Plaza at the center of Santa Fe and five minutes from the shops and restaurants
of Tesuque Village.
This partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
About 18 of my family members recently had a fantastic week’s vacation at this property and we all loved it. From my initial contacts with the owner to the property managers, Amanda and Fred, all details were handled smoothly and quickly. The property is remote — about 15 minutes north of Sante Fe — which we enjoyed but easy driving to downtown, Bandalier National Monument, Taos, and lots of other places of interest. The compound has three separate buildings which works out great if some folks are late sleepers or have children. The Big House has the huge great room where the family congregated most of the time. The well-equppied kitchen in the main house was put to good use and there’s a second kitchen in the 2-bedroom Artists’ Studio building. One word of advice: rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle if possible. The road from the paved street to the compound is about a mile long dirt road that’s pretty steep in places. The Loft building between the Big House and Artists Studio has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a living room which provides more privacy if needed. I would highly recommend this VRBO to any large family that wants to get together in an exotic but still accessible location. Great property, amenities and service with plenty of room to roam. Thanks again to Walter, Amanda and Fred for the use of this beautiful home and the warm hospitality.
The location is great but the houses needed some basic maintenance items like light bulbs replaced, smoke detector batteries replaced and loose door knobs tightened.
The road into the facility could use some maintenance as well.
We had a great time at the facility dispite the above.
Overall, we had a great time.
The three homes on the property are close to each other. The middle one has no kitchen. It mainly is used for sleeping, with a nice sized living area that connects to the bedrooms. There is a small fire pit outside of it.
All the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms well-stocked.
The landscape is quite natural, which adds to the places' charm. We picked peaches from the trees, and once we let them ripen, they were delicious.
It should be noted that the dirt road to the place is very steep. If we would have known this, we all definitely would have rented more substantial vehicles.
We also would have appreciated a better stocked kitchen in the main house.
Only one tv worked.
The phone coverage was weak in the smaller units.
The place is not at all far from Sante Fe and other cities we wanted to explore. We also were able to go white-water rafting and explore ancient Native American ruins. Both opportunities helped to make the trip memorable.
Our family had a 100% amazing trip to the southwest high desert. The views from the house are remarkable. It is close enough to town but still far enough away to feel like you are in the mountains. My kids loved the Teseque village market! The house was beautifully furnished with towels and soaps fully stocked. I would definitely recommend this stay!
The house has everything you need. We were provided with everything we needed and it's a beautiful place to stay. If I come back I'm staying in it again.
We stayed here for a reunion of 22 college sorority sisters and it was a great setting. While we seemed to be in a very remote spot, it was only 15 minutes into Santa Fe. Amanda, this rental's manager, was super responsive to our needs. Thank you, Amanda. We ordered dinner two nights from the Tesuque Village Market and Michael worked with us on a family style menu. We didn't have to cook! The main room seated all of us as we gathered in the evenings. We even were able to bring in a couple tables from the patio and all 22 of us could sit together for dinner. The weather was great. The setting made us feel like we really got away from our everyday lives. I would recommend this rental to friends and family.
