As long time Missoula residents, we got tired of going home just as the fishing was getting good.
Our location on Lower Rock Creek offers easy access to Missoula for dining, shopping or groceries. We are across the street from the only restaurant for miles. Famous Ekstrom's serves Dinner tll 10 and a trout and egg breakfast that can't be beat. We are also steps away from The Rock Creek Mercantile the legendary fly shop. Only 18 minutes to Missoula our cabin is a great place to stay for Grizz games.
5 of us in town for a Griz game and we had a great time at this perfect getaway that's just a few minutes from Missoula. Easy access and in a wonderful location. Linda was a great host and we couldn't be happier with our stay.
We had a delightful time in Clinton staying at the Cabin at Rock Creek. The owners Linda and Jon were generous and welcoming - we even got muffins made with her homegrown zucchini. The cabin was spotless and had all the cooking gear and spices needed if we had wished to cook but with the famous Ekstrom's Pioneer Restaurant in walking distance - why bother! All was more than expected and we hope to return.
The cabin was quite comfortable and furnished nicely, a great hangout for family. Easy access off the highway was good, and fishing spots for our fishermen were convenient. Making arrangements with Linda was easy; the massage arranged with Linda was well worth it ,too.
Can't beat the location for an easy drive to a number of great fishing rivers and creeks in the local vicinity. Cabin itself was spacious, clean and had all the amenities one could ask for. Dog friendly with enough yard space for our K9 to be able to stretch his legs in between river trips. Linda was very friendly and helpful, hopefully we make it back again soon.
With a son who fly fishes and with the rest of us as hikers, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Fishing spots abounded and also hikes (there were hikes off the road but we also enjoyed a hike starting behind the stadium at the University of MT in Missoula). We loved the home cooked breakfast at the restaurant across the street and great access to Route 90. Linda was delightful a nd offered tons of tips and homemade muffins and flowers greeted us in the cabin plus coffee and cream and spices and a kitchen well stocked with cooking gear. The beds were comfy and the place was nicely decorated and very clean. Plus my son enjoyed the fly tying supplies. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and barbecue.
All in all highly recommended.
Accommodations were great. The cabin was very comfortable and the location was quiet with a great yard to relax in at the end of the day. Linda was a wonderful host making the stay that much better, with amazing cookies, jam and scones, and lots of advice on the local points of interest. Highly recommended!
Rock Creek is considered a premier Blue Ribbon fly fishing stream. Less then 20 miles from Missoula, the cabin makes a great place to fish and attend U of M events.
