The Cathedral Gorge Inn is a Vacation Home just west of Panaca and 200 yards south of the Shell gas station and Highway 319. It is newly remodeled. The Cathedral Gorge Inn is right in the center of five beautiful State Parks: Spring Valley, Echo. Cathedral Gorge, Beaver Dam and Kershaw-Ryan. There area has a rich history. The home serves those who are hunting, fishing, holding family reunions, or just want to get out of Las Vegas for a weekend.

About C. Pete Peterson

We are parents of 5 grown and married children. With that comes 15 grandchildren! We love to gather together and eat good food and have lots of laughs. And yes, we all fit in the Inn at once! We moved to Panaca in 1989 when Pete was hired to teach English in Caliente at a correctional facility there. He is now the Principal of Panaca Elementary school. I, Bev, teach Culinary arts at the correctional facility in Caliente and love helping kids make better choices in eating as well as life. We love the rural life and quietness that comes with living here. There are many trails to hike and bike on and we encourage our guests to explore when they can.

Why C. Pete Peterson chose Panaca

The building was originally a Doctor's clinic. It had been sitting vacant for over 10 years when we noticed that it was finally up for sale. We knew that our small community needed a place for large groups or families to come and stay together during their stay. There was no other vacation home in the county so we decided to buy this piece of property and totally renovate it to accommodate large groups. It is so fun to meet the people who come to stay and see their reactions as they walk through. We put our heart and soul and a whole year and a half of time and money into this place and hope that our efforts will be appreciated!

Absolutely amazing property

The property is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed anywhere. We had 7 people in my group and there was more than enough room for everyone. I highly recommend staying at the cathedral gorge inn anytime you’re in the area. The owners were very nice and more than willing to answer any questions we had. Easily a 5 star experience!!!!!

The Cathedral Gorge Inn was perfect for our family reunion. There was plenty of space for our large group, everything was clean and well stocked, and the hosts were lovely. We'll definitely be back. I couldn't have imagined a better stay.
