Our 100 yr-old Craftsman was completely remodeled two years ago. It sits on a double lot with sweeping views of the Chuckanut Mountains. Enjoy 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, a heated covered deck, large yard for entertaining, a fire pit and much more while we travel.

We love our home and are excited to share it this summer. It has the perfect combination of Craftsman architecture and modern comfort. We have two small children, which means this home would be great for a group traveling with kids. We can supply a portable crib, noise machines, tons of toys, etc.

The home has three full floors.

The three main bedrooms are all downstairs, in the bright, day-lit basement. The master has a queen bed and its own attached bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The other two bedrooms each have full-sized beds and share a bathroom off the hall, with a tub/shower. Please note we have added a bunk bed to my son's room, so there is an additional twin bed above the full. (We haven't changed the photo yet) Also downstairs is the laundry.

The main floor has a mudroom, a half bath, and a large kitchen/dining room/living room. The kitchen features locally-made cherry cabinets and a gas stove with a window behind it, looking out on the mountains.

Upstairs are three rooms, a large kids playroom, a 4th bedroom with queen bed, and a home office, which is reserved for our use. There is also a third full bathroom with tub/shower upstairs.

Guests will have access to all 3 floors of our home and the entire yard, including our covered deck, fire pit and sand box. We also have a separate "rainy day playhouse" with lots of kids crafts and a full-sized futon mattress on a platform.

We love sustainable building/design and incorporated many elements in our recent remodel. We use a very efficient heat pump to warm and cool the house, have a tankless water heater, and are proud of our reclaimed wood floors and beams. Throughout the house are other restored and repurposed items such as vanities atop vintage bureaus, refurbished Craftsman hardware and a copper pipe/marine valve sink faucet.

The fully-fenced, double lot has tons of space for lounging in the grass, swinging in the hammock, reading on a bench, roasting marshmallows, playing bocce or building in the sandbox.

Our house is not usually available for rent, but we do list it during our travels, generally in August and around the Christmas holidays. We will not be in Bellingham during the period of any rentals, but our friends, gardener and house keeper will be available to help guests with everything.

Wonderful, Comfortable Home

With 7 adults, 3.5 baths and 4 bedrooms, this is one of the most comfortable and beautiful homes we have rented on VRBO. We stayed over Christmas and it was very nice that the owners had set up a tree and decorations. The open kitchen/great room is perfect for hosting family meals. The house has large windows and wood floors but maintained a very comfortable temperature despite the snow outside. The host provided a coffee maker; however we brought our own hot water kettle and French press (we like our coffee and tea!). The kitchen is well-equipped for meals. It was nice to be a short walk to Trader Joe's! The owners are very helpful if you have questions.

Wonderful home, spacious and clean!

Very nice, clean home - plenty of sleeping spaces with comfy beds! Host is responsive and flexible. We were in town for a wedding and this house was perfect to accommodate an extended family with ages ranging from 2 to 55. The playroom was perfect for the early rising two year old! We loved the front porch in the morning and the back porch at night. Great location, very close to trader joes! We would definitely rent again! Thanks!!

We stayed for two nights and we loved it! Tons of space for our family including 3 teenagers and our parents. Owners were extremely flexible and accommodating. The house was clean and spacious, had everything we needed to prepare our own meals, great neighborhood to take walks in, close to downtown, close to WWU, etc.

We had a fantastic time and would stay again!

Sunnyland has become one of Bellingham's most popular neighborhoods, due to its great vibe and proximity to parks, downtown and other fun neighborhoods. We are an easy bike ride to downtown. Memorial Park is 4 blocks away, and a 5 block walk in the other direction will bring you to both Trader Joes and Kulshan Brewery. Even closer is the start of the Railroad Trail, a lovely route which winds its way to Lake Whatcom and to Whatcom Falls Park.
