Wonderful Hosts, Lovely Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Ashley and her family welcomed us warmly when we arrived on a rainy Point Roberts afternoon. Their cottage is lovely and bright, cozy and spotless! The fire in the wood stove crackled heartily and we immediately felt at home. We enjoyed the quiet solitude, even during the day, and drove to the nearby Maple Beach to see the moon rise above the ocean at night. We appreciated the comfortable beds, cable tv, fast wi-fi, well-stocked kitchen and use of the washer/ dryer. Having extra time to pack and check out was wonderful since there weren't any guests coming and Ashley was gracious about the late check-out time. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks so much for having us, Ashley and Jordan!

beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We (a group of five women) chose to have our annual Christmas getaway at Ashley's cottage and it was such a wonderful place to stay for two nights. My friends thought it was very idyllic with horses as neighbours! The property was very clean with one of the best stocked kitchens in all of the AirBnB and VRBO rentals that we have been in (and we have been to a lot!), and the gas stove was a dream to cook on. The interior was tastefully decorated and we were thankfully very cozy with the wood-burning fireplace and central heating in each of the rooms. There was a pile of chopped firewood indoors waiting for us as well as a neat pile outside. The shower was amazing!! Communication with the owner was great as Ashley called prior to our arrival and promptly replied to our texts, and she was flexible when we had a late arrival time on our first evening (not to mention we appreciated that we could stay two hours past the check out time!). Highly recommended as a place to stay in Point Roberts. PS Thank you for shovelling the snow the next morning!

Wonderful quite cottage!

  • 5 of 5

The "Little Blue Cottage" in Point Roberts is a great place for a couple or a small family to stay while visiting the Vancouver area.

The home has recently been totally renovated, and the furnishings are all in excellent condition. The farm setting with it's gardens, chicken and horses on the other side of the fence may it very relaxing and most enjoyable.

Would certainly want to stay here again.

Fantastic cottage, clean and tidy with everything we needed. The owners were very friendly, they even let us pick apples from the beautiful fruit trees. We had a wonderful holiday.

Cozy, Clean, and Updated!

  • 5 of 5

This property is recently updated with stainless steel appliances, newer washer and dryer, a tile shower with a rain shower head, with new fresh finishing throughout. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary utensils and small appliances. The neighboring property has horses, so our children enjoyed seeing them and feeding them the odd apple from the apple trees on the property. We would recommend this property, the property owners were very nice, and made sure that we were happy. We will be booking again in following years.

Modern Cabin, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I was pleased with my stay at this property on a cold February weekend.

I emailed an inquiry the day before booking, as I was looking for a last minute escape. I actually only booked the property in the morning that we were to arrive. Very last minute. Ashley was accommodating and even agreed for a late check out - as no one was booked the day we left. That was fantastic.

The place was modern and can be a self contained home, it had all the amenities you could wish for. The property was very clean and immaculate. When I arrived Ashley came to welcome us in and show us a few things, she was great. Whilst we were there we wanted to watch a dvd, but after contacting Ashley it turned out the sound system wasn't working. It was OK though, as we used their Netflix account to watch something else (sound through the TV instead). I had the fire in use in the evening. I guess its because of my last minute booking, but I had to fetch some wood myself from the adjacent barn. I felt the property was a little chilly in general, but there were plenty of heaters available - all built in and turned on by the switch. Although the bedroom and bathroom heaters were also fans, so a little loud for me. But the main heater in the living room was quiet and powerful.

So I would recommend this place, as its super modern and nice, completely self contained and you have a great host.

Point Roberts itself is very small, surprisingly wooded and peaceful. We went to Reef, the bar, witch was nice, a stereotypical USA bar - feeling very 70s inside. We also went to the grocery store, which is huge! You can definitely get most things there. The lighthouse Marina Park was a nice but windy walk, not overly big, but nice all the same.
