About Lynn Nilssen

I moved here with my husband and son from Massachusetts in 2003 and have not regretted it for a single minute! Loved being on the lagoon so much that we purchased the adjacent property, fixed it up and live there now.

Lynn Nilssen purchased this house in 2007

Why Lynn Nilssen chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

Spent many family vacations in Florida and fell in love with the gulf coast especially Sarasota.

What makes this house unique

The nicest thing about this home is that it is on a private lagoon shared only by residents. There are no motorboats and it is quiet with plenty of bird watching and wildlife.

A little piece of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderfully relaxing couple of weeks!! Paradise! Absolutely everything one might need! The only disappointing part in is that's for sale! I would definitely return. Loved it. Thank you Lynn!

Best of both worlds

  • 4 of 5

We loved the house. Very relaxing and comfortable. It was a quiet location away from the busy beaches, but close enough to get there in 10 minutes on the bike. Kayaking was beautiful! Our family ranges from 18 to 83 and there was something for everyone in Sarasota and Siesta Key.

Dream holiday home

  • 5 of 5

I can't possibly say enough wonderful things about our stay at Lynn's home. The house served as the backbone for a family reunion. It was ideal. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and have privacy when they wanted it. My daughters had a brilliant time fishing off the pier and caught the biggest catfish of their lives. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house had all the misc items you need to cook a wonderful family meal. Lynn was very accommodating and all I can say is if you are lucky enough to find her home available BOOK IT!!!!!!!!! You will have the best holiday ever.

THANK YOU LYNN !!!!!

Beyond Our Expectations

  • 5 of 5

We are writing this and wishing we could go back already! Our family of 7 (kids 8-18 yrs) just spent a week at this beautiful home. It was the perfect location for us. The property was so well maintained and clean that it only took one look out the back door, one deep breath and we were instantly soothed. The homes may seem close together, but Lynn and Andy have decorated so tastefully that you feel you are in your own private setting. While we enjoyed plenty of activities together like kayaking in the lagoon, fishing off the dock and swimming in the pool, mom and dad enjoyed their quiet, morning coffees on the balcony and beautiful sunsets on the dock too. The floor plan of the house provided great spaces to relax together or find time alone. I loved seeing our kids put down their phones to put a puzzle together, or pick up a book, play our guitar, ride bikes to the beach or play a family game on the Wii. The house was so well equipped that we needed only to provide the food and drinks! We spent time in the Main Village and felt comfortable with the older kids being on their own there too. We also headed south to Turtle Beach where we saw another beautiful sunset, lots of shells and someone catch and release a goliath grouper! We also found reasonable prices and good food at the marina there. This property exceeded our expectations and Lynn and Andy were just a call/text away. Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

Siesta Key beautiful home

  • 4 of 5

Just got back to cold NY after a three month stay in this great house! Spacious with a fantastic view of the lagoon.

Well equipped kitchen.....even a kitchen aid mixer so we could bake?!

It is close to shopping and restaurants. Siesta Key village a short drive.

Turtle beach about a mile and Siesta Key Beach a bit further but get there early because it's very popular

The cons were the cell phone service very erratic and some new towels would be perfect

All in all a great getaway, for my Golden too!

PS: Lynne and Andy right next door to help with minor issues.....
