Why John Patt chose Poipu
Back in '04 when real estate was booming, my ex-wife, who had made a lot of money in real estate told us that we needed to get into the market. We bought this unit because it was the only one we could afford.
What makes this Condo unique
Back in '94 we disconnected the cable since there wasn't anything worth watching on TV. But I like going down there to watch a baseball or football game from time to time. Carole enjoys all the tinkering and fine-tuning. Most of the decor is hers. My contribution will be the flat screen TV in a few months. In the evening we sit out on the lanai, sip a glass of wine, and share the day. When the moonlite breaks over the park, it's dakine!

Great location...just an ok place.
We loved the location of this condo. It was right across the street from the best snorkeling on the island. The views were amazing from the balcony. Plus it was easy to get anywhere from this condo. The condo itself was ok. The problems we had were the small shower/bath. The shower head is perfect if your about 5'6" but I am 6'2" so it hits me right in the chest and my wife is 5'10" so it was short for her also. So I have to bend over to wash my hair and face. The bed is adequate. We also emailed the owner through VRBO and their gmail account and they never got back to us. So I wasn't impressed with that. I would hope that they would've been a little more responsive to us. Overall I would recommend this place for it's location and the negatives weren't a huge deal just some minor inconveniences.
Small + Peaceful Private Condo with Ocean View
We loved our stay in Condo 331! It had everything we needed and then some. It was a great home base for us for 7 days. The bed is VERY COMFORTABLE; I have back problems so usually I have a hard time sleeping but here I slept like a baby. We loved the giant sliding glass + screen door onto the porch. It was nice to hear the waves crashing and palm trees rustling in the wind all night. Loved that the glass had a film on it so that you can't see in from the outside making it so you can leave the curtains open and not worry anyone can see you. The condo Prince Kuhio buildings are mostly local residents (we thought) so it was very quiet (the next building over is a big tourist resort and we were very happy not to be there!). Great pool, beautiful landscaping. I spent several evenings in the pool watching / listening to the very loud parakeets arriving and jockeying to find roosts for the night. Plenty of parking (garage + in front). Beach nearby not good for beginner swimmers (lava rocks and surfers) but there were a few tourists snorkeling there. Loved running in the mornings to Spouting Horn and watching the sunrise there - beautiful. This particular unit in the condo buildings was great because it actually faces the ocean (see their photo for accurate view). The buildings are double-loaded corridor style so some units face the pool. Also, the unit is far at the back away from the road (the road runs right along the ocean and ends about 2miles after the condos) and on the top floor. We didn't mind the 1hr 15min (without traffic) drive up to Princeville on the days we wanted to go up there, or the drives to get to the beaches we liked. The Beach House restaurant is right across the street - we didn't go there but a lot of people from the Lawaii Resort did. Great place for a couple to stay. Thank you!
Great Deal for a Honeymoon Retreat
Super pleased with our choice. We did a mix of staying on the south side of the island and the north side of the island. The studio here was great - overlooks the park next door with a view of the ocean out in front. We loved having breakfast out on the small deck, enjoying the sun and the sounds. The studio is small but was plenty big for us, and has all the amenities we wanted. Having AC was super nice too, and we slept very comfortably on the bed. The beach just across the street was the best beach for snorkeling that we found on the southern side of the island (and we tried many!) and the spot is also not too far to head west and go hiking in the canyon and coast area. The onsite pool is also very nice, but the ocean and the beach across the street is really where it's at. Also near enough to many shops and restaurants to easily enjoy those, and a simple walk to spouting horn. Very pleased with the choice!
Excellent location, great view, walk to the beach
Great for a couple - ocean view, walk to the beach, everything you need to eat on the balcony.
I enjoyed my stay here. It had everything you needed to make stay enjoyable and in my opinion priced right. Anne was very easy and helpful to deal with. Thanks
Kauai - the Garden Isle
The condo was close to the water. We were able to see the ocean from our lanai. The room had everything we needed to fix our meals there. There were also a lot of beach equipment available, including nice beach towels. The resort had a potluck one day which was fun to meet other guests there in a social setting. The island was beautiful with lots of things to do & see. Hated to leave after only a week.
Beach combing, Helicopter rides, Zodiac/catamaran rides, Scuba diving, Sport fishing, Whale watching (in season). Minature golf, foosball, tennis at nearby Rooftop Cafe (extra fee)
