A luxurious 4 bedroom villa with pool is perfectly located just 3km from Tavira

This villa is a gem....Large spacious and light fully air conditioned rooms leading to beautifully kept mature gardens and ample terraces surrounding a 10 m x 5 m swimming pool.

Plenty of space for lounging and dining both inside and outside, soaking up the sun or keeping cool beneath the shade.

Comfortable outdoor seating under a pergola with a built-in barbeque area, poolside furniture, tended lawns and an abundance of fruit and palm trees... all help to make this an idyllic location for spending holidays. More covered seating is available in front of the pool, some steps away from the kitchen. Mature and fruit yielding trees including grapefruit, avocado, almond, olive and citrus, set among lawns, palm trees and beautiful planted beds.

This villa has recently been lovingly renovated and the utmost attention has been paid to detail, comfort and quality.

Enjoy cooking in the state of the art fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen and dining area leads into the living room with large sofas, a flat screen TV with UK free to view and Astra channels, DVD player and Music stereo. There is a free broadband internet service (up to 6MB) from each room and another television in one of the double upstairs bedrooms. There are air conditioning and under floor heating and cooling systems in each room, powered by a heat exchanger pump and solar panels. Casa Azul comprises two double bedrooms downstairs, one of which is en suite and 2 double bedrooms upstairs. All bedrooms have been furnished with new comfortable beds and mattresses and have built-in cupboards, good quality linen and mattresses. There are three beautifully finished and ample bathrooms in total. All glass doors are double glazed and have mosquito nets, shutters and curtains. Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and opens out to the terrace. It has a large en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, wc, bidet and a wash basin. The room is also furnished with a sofa and couch. Bedroom 2 is also on the ground floor and has a bathroom beside it with shower, bidet, wc and a wash basin. Bedroom 3 is upstairs with access to a terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. It has a flat screen television and desk. Bedroom 4 is also on the first floor and accesses the same terrace. In between the upstairs bedrooms is a generous bathroom with a large walk-in shower, bidet, wc and two wash basins.

8 brand new quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, stone tables and chairs available.

A beautifully clear 10 m x 5 m pool with roman end steps leading into a shallow end of 1 m and a deep end of 2 m. This is a freshwater pool with a copper iron sanitization system, which requires neither salt nor chlorine and produces soft, practically potable water. There is a beautiful mosaic outdoor shower near the shallow end of the pool. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is available.

The nearest amenities are 3km away with quiet roads reaching the charming villages of Santa Estevao, Sinagoga, Santa Margarida and the adorable town of Tavira.

A short drive from the villa you can enjoy some of the best beaches in the Algarve offering seclusion and quiet to water sports and restaurants. Tavira's main beach is accessible by regular ferries, which take visitors to the 11km of beaches of Ilha de Tavira where the vast tracts of sand provide an idyllic spot to sunbathe and relax. The wide, safe and clean sandy beach is one of Tavira's key features with restaurants and beach bars. In summer, there are watersports.

The beautiful Barril beach is accessed by either a mini train or footpath through the protected wetlands of Ria Formosa. It has good eating facilities set in an original tuna fishing settlement.

The extensive sandy beach at Manta Rota is also highly recommended, easily accessible by car.

Tavira is a charming mix of old and new – Roman, Moorish and Portuguese features abound. The typical Portuguese features of the town are well preserved and the low-key tourist industry coexists alongside a vibrant local economy and culture. There are many restaurants and fish is a specialty. Inexpensive restaurants, bars and cafes abound in Tavira and the surrounding villages.

From June through September, there is an abundance of street entertainment in the form of concerts, outdoor cinema festivals, street theatre, markets, fairs, processions and workshops.

The Ria Formosa Nature Reserve is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers alike. For people who prefer a little more strenuous exercise there is also a local kitesurfing school, horse riding, tennis and many mountain bike trails. Boats leave the pier for deep-sea fishing all along the Algarve Coast.

An excellent commuter train service connects all the coastal towns of the Algarve with a frequency of 1 train per hour during the day and connects Tavira with the twice daily Faro-Lisbon express. The Spanish border is 20 minutes away, while Seville is a 2 hour drive and a good day trip location or alternative flight destination.

Very nice villa, very clean, beautiful garden, superb pool, airco, a dream for the holiday. Near Tavira and the ocean. Deserves 5 stars. To do : enjoy the pool and the garden, visit Algarve, have a day on Tavira Island, buy local fish in one of the fish markets.

La semana que pasamos este verano de 2011 en Tavira (Portugal) fueron extraordinarias pero, lo mejor de todo, fué el acierto al alquilar esta casa.

Magnifica. muy confortable, limpieza perfecta, servicio completísimo.

Es una casa extraordinaria para compartir en familia y amigos. Nosotros fuimos un mix de matrimonios con hijos y sin ellos y todo fué genial.

La ubicación está muy bien, teniendo en cuenta que en la zona hay que coger el coche para ir a la playa, está todo a mano (coche) y se respira muchísima tranquilidad.

Arrivals after 2 pm and departures before 10 am unless otherwise arranged. Once weekly linen and towel change. We can arrange car hire for you with a good reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative. There is a 50 euro excess charge on cooling/heating energy cost (originating from both ground floor cooling/heating and air conditioning units), payable locally, as per meter reading. Winter rentals of one month or more from November to March are charged at only 50% of the advertised price. Rentals of 4 or less people occupancy (from October to April) have a discount of 15% off the price advertised.
