About June Pardy
Unique experiences in a Unique Location. When we travel, we love unique properties that we can make our own whether we are there for a weekend or a month. Our favourite places speak to our desire to reflect, rebalance and reconnect to what we value during our time away. The essential ingredients for us have always featured private accommodations connected to interesting areas to eat, drink and play. We hope that Long Beach Villa in Baxter's Harbour, Nova Scotia becomes one of your favourite places, too.
June Pardy purchased this Villa in 2015
Why June Pardy chose Canning
In Nova Scotia, this is a challenge that seemingly never ends and led us to discover Baxter’s Harbour for the first time. Only 15 minutes from our Annapolis Valley home, we had literally never been here until last year. We knew we loved the fresh Bay of Fundy breezes that can cool off a summer day, we knew we loved walking the quiet rocky beaches and we knew we loved how the world’s highest tides made the low and high tide shorelines seem like two worlds in one day. And then, we drove into Baxter’s Harbour and fell in love with how this series of coves, beaches and water falls had our favourite natural "amenities"

A beautiful area with wonderful views
We had a very enjoyable stay. The area has spectacular views of the Bay of Fundy and the beach is only two minutes away. The sunsets were stunning and just listening to the waves was very soothing. At night on the beach we were able to see a few satellites and a few shooting stars. The stars were spectacular and I have not seen these many stars in years. You could almost feel that you could reach out and touch the stars.
The house was very clean and warm. The bathroom was lovely and there were towels for an entire family. Since we stayed for many days we had to do laundry and the washing machine and the dryer were easy to use.
The oven was excellent and the gas burners were very efficient.
Our big treat was seeing two bald eagles right from the dining room and the second time was on the stony beach seeing a bald eagle just a few meters from where were siting.
This area is a great area for a retreat and to reflect on life. You are in an isolated place and is far away from any area to buy groceries. It was over 30 minutes from Wolfville or about 20 minutes from a store. This is the only negative point, but it I s only a minor negative point.
On the whole it is a perfect place to get away from everything.
We enjoyed 4 lovely nights at this beautiful cottage. It was clean, cozy and charming. No roughing it here. Loved soaking in the deep claw foot tub. Although the cottage is not directly on the water, the public beach was a short walk and the sunset was beautiful there. We had campfires a couple of nights in the fire pit and enjoyed our lunch on the front porch. The cottage was very well stocked. I.e. adult beverages with a Karma jar. When we did have a minor problem (Lightbulb was burned out), June had one waiting for us the next day, when we returned. I might add that the supply cupboard had regular light bulbs in stock. This happened to be an odd size one. I also appreciated the book telling us about the sites in the area. We would never have come across the waterfall otherwise. Thank you June for sharing your beautiful cottage and tending to our every need.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Long Beach Villa.
Steps away from the Bay of Fundy, the beautiful Baxters Falls, Halls Harbour and many other beautiful spots along the Fundy coast to explore.
The Villa was spotlessly clean, decorated very tastefully, quiet, relaxing, serene.
We hope to come back and highly recommend this home!
Peaceful and welcoming
We felt immediately at home at Long Beach Villa. From the comfy living area to the spa bathroom, the attention to detail shines through. We loved that the main bedroom and living area both have been arranged to view the bay, including outdoor seating on both floors which were perfect for watching spectacular sunsets while enjoying the cool evening breezes. We left the windows open so we could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The beach is just across the road, and the rest of Annapolis Valley a short drive. We toured wineries, visited Scots Bay and Blomidon at low tide, and ate lots of fresh seafood during the week we stayed there. Highly recommend this home!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Long Beach Villa is a special place and we are thrilled that you enjoyed it. Please let us know if you are ever back in the area again.
Excellent secluded retreat on the Bay of Fundy
We enjoyed every minute of our 3-day stay at Long Beach Villa. This cottage is located on a quiet road just across from Bay of Fundy - from the balconies, we could hear the crashing waves and watch the world's biggest tides daily. The sunsets were spectacular every night! We loved the "bonfire hoodies" and blankets while sitting around our bonfire.
The owner was very responsive, provided all the essentials and many delightful extras to enhance our stay. The cottage was very clean, well-appointed, stylishly furnished, fully-equipped for gourmet dinners. There were luxurious linens, a spa-like bathroom full of high quality products. The wine frig was very convenient and the gas fireplace was great for taking off the evening or morning chill.
Thanks June for a great stay - we hope to return at a future date.
