About Mr Turan Ali

Hi - I'm Turan. I work internationally in media and I love having highland cottages as my quiet retreat and having other people enjoy the beauty, peace and relaxation of Loch Ness and the Highlands. We have a great team at Loch Ness to look after you. Karen gets the cottage ready for you, Matt does the gardens, and I deal with the bookings. If there are any questions or problems just text, call or email me (Turan) and I will get the problem sorted quickly for you. We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful Loch Ness area of the Scottish Highlands.

Mr Turan Ali purchased this cottage in 1999

Why Mr Turan Ali chose Inverfarigaig

The Cottage at Inverfarigaig on Loch Ness is unique. Most Loch Ness holiday cottages have a busy road between you and the Loch. Here we are a quarter of a mile away from the nearest small road, down a private track. Between The Cottage and Loch Ness is just your own private garden and beach. The stunning views up and down Loch Ness and across to the mountains on the other side are truly breath-taking and the peace and quiet is total relaxation.

The Cottage has a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2017 and 2018.

Absolutely amazing

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife and a couple of friends booked a four night stay and we were blown away by the shear beauty of the cottages location, my heart is still there. The views are stunning and the cottage was very well presented, there has been lots of improvement from the pictures you see here, and the cottage is very worth the hire fee, it has absolutely everything you need for a good weeks stay, the kitchen is well equipped and had nice hot water, great shower and the windows were just fine, exactly what I would expect with a cottage on the shores of Loch Ness. It’s only half an hour to Inverness city centre so you have everything you need not too far away witch is a big bonus, there is even a 24 hour Tesco, perfect!. The surroundings are awesomely amazing, breathtakingly beautiful, stunning and idilic. I am definitely booking again and again and again. Turan is a pleasure to deal with and I find him truthful and honest, I thank you mr Ali. Every Scotsman I spoke to told me we had caught some unusually warm weather for so late in September and we were very lucky, we were eating our meals in the garden in tee shirts. The doggie loved it too. Again, a big thank you from us all.

This is a really lovely cottage in a super location. You have all you need to be comfortable and the garden views are to die for. You have your own little beach on the Loch and a path to a gorgeous forest walk next to you. Peace and quiet and Loch just in front you when you wake up.

Stunning.

Thanks

Lovely tranquil setting

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't wish for a better place to stay especially for those seeking some R&R from the buzz of daily life. Great walks and magnificent scenery and having stayed more than once at this property I can also inform that Turin (the owner) will always go the extra mile to ensure that you are happy (on our first stay some problems with the internet - Turin was on it like a flash. So great place to stay and an owner you can have confidence in

A beautiful location, well worth a visit.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is only 30 minutes drive from Inverness and is a great place to base yourself for a stay around the Loch. I have been up here many time but not this side and I am glad I did. If you are into your hiking or just scenic walks there are so many places to visit close by. There is little to no traffic noise and the peace and quiet is wonderful.

The cottage is semi-detached but you do not hear or see anything of the neighbours. The front of the cottage, where the conservatory is, looks over the garden and then straight onto Loch Ness. What a view! You can sit there for hours just looking out. To the left were snow topped mountains to add to the beauty of the place. To the side of the garden are steps leading down to a private beach. My kids loved skimming stones and getting their feet wet every time they went down there! We saw a low flying plane and many boats go past us. I’m sure in the summer if you bring a deck chair down there you could stay all day!

The cottage is spacious and very well equipped. The double glazing and carpets keep the heating from the radiators in and you warm and snug. The dining room has a large table with a cupboard full of games that kept us occupied throughout. The kitchen has all you need and is easy to cook whatever you fancy. One thing to mention is Tesco deliver direct to the door and I also had an Amazon drop off next day (I forgot my camera sd card). We didn’t watch telly but did flick through the channels and there is a good selection. The internet is a bit hit and miss as stated in the details. I did get 3G (no 4g) early in the morning and at night.

There was so many birds to look at and wildlife. I brought a little telescope and turned into a right nerd looking out all the time! So much to take in.

We will be back. The kids loved it and so did we. The price paid is very reasonable compared to other cottages I stayed around this area.

We will be back!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Travelled with my wife and my border collie on the 26th Feb 2018 for 4 nights. Communication with Turan prior to travelling was great and found the cottage with ease. The cottage is in a stunning location with beautiful views over the loch. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The garden is pet friendly so we had no concerns of letting her out for a run. The private beach was nice and we had a drink in front of a fire in the evening. Some improvements could be made to the access. It is highlighted by Turan in the details but even at 47 i didn't feel totally comfortable on the trip up and down. The cottage is well positioned near foyer and dores and we made trips to both. The falls at foyers is well worth a visit. There are a number of great walks which start a short walk away from the cottage through Farigaig forest which offer stunning scenery. You are also within 50 minutes drive of Urquhart Caste, Inverness and Fort Augustus. Due to snow in the area we requested an extra night if available. Turan was great his communications were prompt which allowed us to enjoy our time without worry. We would recommend highly and would love to return at some point.

The Cottage is in the beautiful, and peaceful village of Inverfarigaig on South Loch Ness with stunning Loch Ness views and many woodland, mountain and loch side walks starting from your front door. The Cottage has its own private beach which is ideal for BBQs and breath-taking sunsets. Within minutes of The Cottage there are other lochs, mountains and forests to explore. The wildlife in the area will also amaze you with many bird species, deer, pine martens, osprey, woodpeckers, red squirrels, bats and at night you are guaranteed to hear the occasional owl. Nearby Loch Ruthven is an impressive bird reserve and dolphins are seen all year at Chanonry Point on the Black Isle (40 mins away). The Cottage is an ideal base for touring everything the Highlands have to offer.

Fishing is allowed from either of The Cottage's private beaches. Visitors regularly catch brown trout and occasionally salmon. Sunbathing is also possible on the shingle beach some weeks of the year ! Please note, the steps down to one of the beaches are a little steep and there is a hand rail to help. The beaches are not suitable for people with mobility problems.
