About Louise & Jim Noble

This is a vacation home we purchased in 2014. After several upgrades to the property, we wanted others to experience the relaxed atmosphere of the "burbs" of Cripple Creek. We maintain the cabin as we would expect a property to be maintained, clean, neat and comfortable.

Louise & Jim Noble purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Louise & Jim Noble chose Cripple Creek

Sitting on the deck, you will witness what few do as the golden eagles soar overhead, the deer and fox walk through the yard, all in a very relaxing atmosphere. With the historic town of Cripple Creek only 6 miles away, you can still be in the hub of town or the peaceful serenity of the cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

This home can be a home away-from-home for two couples comfortably. With a second kitchenette on the lower level, each couple can enjoy their own privacy and yet be together.

Amazing views. Beautiful cabin! Looking forward to staying again!

  • 5 of 5

The scenery was beautiful. The cabin is secluded yet close to casinos, garden of the gods, pikes peek, and great restaurants! We had a great time hiking and getting fresh air! We saw eagles hunting and lots of deer. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect week! The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating they even left a happy birthday card on the table for our arrival. Very thoughtful!

We can't wait to stay again!

There is not ANY garbage cans to dispose of trash, you actually have to load trash into your car and either pay to have it collected or find a dumpster. This alone is a pain with 6 people staying for 4 days. The house is ok but it is a long drive to go anywhere. Too much driving to see attractions, I would not stay that far out or recommend the drive, especially at night. We were charged $95 for a fitted sheet! I don't think I slept on a $95 sheet but was charged to replace it.

Owner's Response: Normally, we respond to our guests directly, however this review warranted a public response. Unfortunately, this review was written in retaliation for an irresponsible guest being charged a fraction of the damage caused by them at the cabin. If you are considering requesting a reservation at The Independence, please consider all the other stellar reviews written by many other guests which truly reflect the experience at The Independence.

Awesome Getaway Location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in a great location for us to do the day trips we had planned. We went to the Cripple Creek area, Pikes Peak area, The Garden of the Gods and Colorado Springs area. It was an ideal and a beautiful drive for all of our outings.

The house was clean and well kept with all of the essentials that we needed. The owners responded quickly to our questions prior to and during the arrival. The views were amazing. We also liked that it was smoke free. Thanks for sharing your home in the mountains.
