Siesta Beach, Siesta Key, FL and is rated one of the top beaches in the world. Once you're here you don't need a car as everything you need is available either across the street or a quick free cab ride to the Siesta Key Village. Across the street you'll find Crescent Market for last minute groceries as well as Captain Curt's (and it's award winning clam chowder), boutiques, pharmacy, and of course the Daquri Deck, Orange Octopus, great ice cream cone, within a 5 min walk. A quick trip to Publix and Trader Joe's (less than a 10 minute drive away) to buy your essentials and you're set to enjoy. The condo has been remodeled and redecorated throughout. Tastefully furnished allowing you to enjoy your great beach vacation. The living room seats 8 people comfortably with a new leather sectional, leather recliner and two leather swivel chairs. There is a 60' flat screen TV with Blu Ray player and stereo, perfect for entertaining. A fully equipped updated kitchen where many gourmet meals have been cooked. It is a fine white powdery sand that feels more like baby powder. The sand stays cool even on the hottest summer day. Crescent Beach stretches for several miles, great for walking, shelling, snorkeling, diving, beach cycling and jogging. On early morning walks, you'll often see dolphin playing, manatee swimming and if you are looking for shells, just walk south on the beach to the point of rocks and past for a never ending supply of some of the most beautiful shell you can find. Crystal clear water with a very gradual descent makes the gulf very inviting for swimming, playing or just floating on a raft. Tropical breezes off the Gulf makes it comfortable even on the hottest summer day, the sounds of the surf are so relaxing. Back at the Sea Shell there are plenty of lounge chairs that you can take right to the beach or sit under a shaded tiki hut or the large cabana. There is a large outdoor grill available to use with prior reservations at the office. For the more adventuresome, parasailing, jet skis, boats, bicycles and more are available to rent all within walking distance. Just an hour away from Tampa and Fort Myers and two hours away from Orlando Siesta Key is an ideal location for day trips. Sarasota itself offers many attractions including Mayakka River State Park, Jungle Gardens, Ringling Museum, Mote Marine Aquarium, St. Armand's Circle and more. The Sea Shell is a medium size complex with 49 units. Your private parking space is next to the elevator and stairs. No long walks from your car or waiting on elevators. The friendly and knowledgeable office staff is on premise and ready to answer any of your questions and give you great advice about the area.Whether building sand castles with your children or grandchildren, taking long romantic walks with your significant other, or sipping your favorite cocktail while watching an incredible sunset, our condo is the perfect vacation getaway. Just pack your suntan lotion and you'll be ready to enjoy your slice of paradise. We hope you stay with us and come back often.

About Rick Leyser

Our Mother and Father bought it in 1979 and have enjoyed many years of personal use and have just now put it on the rental market for everybody else to enjoy. They have turned over the daily management to the kids. My siblings, our families and even great grand kids have enjoyed this magnificent paradise we have called our home away from home for almost 40 years. Both my parents are artists and have created beautiful artwork there from my father's photography and sculpting and my mother's paintings and drawing. Our family has traveled around the world and have never found a beach as nice as our Crescent Beach.

Rick Leyser purchased this condo in 1979

Why Rick Leyser chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

When our parents decided to purchase a condominium in Florida, their primary concerns were to find the best beach and island feel while maintaining all the conveniences of home. I remember listening to all the pros and cons of the various locations they saw all throughout the west coast from Sanibel Island to St. Petersburg. Our parents searched hi and low and settled on paradise in Siesta Key at the Sea Shell just 100 steps from the beach. As my mom always said, "This is Paradise." After they bought their unit, their friends and families bought in excess of 15 units over the almost 40 years.

What makes this condo unique

The Sea Shell location is the best. Easy access on and off the key allowing more time to enjoy. Everything you need is across the street from Grocery to restaurant to Bar to beach boutiques. Everybody loves the convenience of walking to get ice cream at the Orange Octopus to The award winning Clam Chowder at Captain Curt's. The free taxi service is a great perk for those seeking more fun in the village without the need for a car. Be sure to tip your driver though! :)

Perfect family mini vacation

  • 5 of 5

I have to honestly say that this condo more than exceeded my expectations. This was my very first experience renting a condo rather than just booking a normal hotel. This experience has been so good that I don't think a hotel will ever cut it for me again.

The unit is very well kept and clean with all the amenities and things you could find in your own home. That said it is truly a home away from home. The rooms are very spacious and they both have walk in closets where you could arrange your things nicely. Each room also have plenty of shelves and drawers that could be used. The living room has plenty of seating and the sofa is very comfortable.

We cooked every day and found anything we needed to do so. The unit even has some containers you could use to store food in the fridge in case you have left overs (just no lids... so you could use aluminum foil).

There are 3 tvs total with cable; 1 on each room and a big one in the living room (smart tv). There are plenty of channels to choose from including some movie channels like HBO. The beds are very comfy and there are plenty of comfy pillows as well. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and the 2nd room has a queen and a full size bed.

We were 6 in total and no one complaint. Everything was amazing and the owner was great to work with; very responsive and helpful. I felt a little uneasy at first when I booked the condo because it was my first time using VRBO and I didn't know what to expect, but the owner's responsiveness put me at ease. I was also equally nervous because I was going to arrived after 5 and the office was going to be closed by then, so I wasn't sure how I was going to get the keys, and where, and I had no clue what to do with the car. However once I got there I realize it was super straight forward. The office is right in the front of the building and by the door they have some sort of lock box where you are supposed to get an envelope with the keys, tag for your car as well as the code to open the gate to the parking garage. You will receive an email from the property manager with a code to open that lock box.

The only challenge was parking. Each unit has only 1 parking space, but the property manager was super helpful and gave us another tag for the extra car that we had. All guess parking spots were taken, so the manager allowed us to park the additional car inside of the garage on the side of the wall.

Excellent Condo with amazing ocean views!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have picked a better place to stay! The condo is beautiful and the views of the ocean are amazing! Loved the decor and everything we needed was available in the Condo. There are many grocery stores close by and the shopping options are endless! I also appreciate the security gate to and from the beach and the beach and pool areas are very clean. I think Crescent Beach is even nicer than Siesta Beach with less crowds ! I would not change a thing! Thank you so much for the great hospitality ! We will be back!

Very nice condo

  • 4 of 5

Beaches were beautiful. Unit was clean and everything we needed was there. Only flaw is the pool is in between two buildings so only gets sun from 10-2. Across at capt curts was good but taking a free taxi Jonnys into the village was fun. Just tip around $10 for four. The drum circle on Sunday at five at siesta beach was great.

Paradise, Sand, Sun Beach, Great Times!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this unit. They had all of the necessities in the condo to make the island drinks to cooking utensils necessary to really enjoy ourselves. From inside the unit the view of the beach were outstanding. Having direct access to the soft sand beach and the beautiful water made it convenient. Then to come back to relax on the balcony or just out. The beds were comfy and that's really important to me. I would definitely recomend this unit.
