This waterfront home in Key Colony Beach offers four gorgeous bedrooms, a small sitting room that doubles as a 5th bedroom with luxury queen sleeper sofa, 3 bathrooms, an oversized private pool, and your own boat dock. At 2,350 sq ft, this home comfortably sleeps 10 people and is a quick walk to the beach (1 block!). This home was completely remodeled in 2015 and is stunning. The inside retains an open, light and airy feel, from the gourmet kitchen with two eat in locations, to the walk in rain showers and modern soaking tub. The outdoor patio are around the pool is ample for large parties. And right from your back yard, you can hop in a boat. 

If you love fishing, boating, island living, amazing seafood and a warm and inviting community, you’ll love Key Colony Beach. With nearly 1,200 wet slips, 1,200 dry slips and major seafaring facilities, Key Colony Beach is a wonderful place for ocean lovers of all ages.

Location: Key Colony Beach is part of Marathon Key, which is a 10-mile stretch of island 2 hours south of Miami International Airport in the middle of the Keys island chain. Great Vacation at a Beautiful House!

We had a wonderful time at Key Colony Beach and this property. The house was perfect for our group (10 of us). There was plenty of room and the amenities were great. The children enjoyed the bikes and paddle boards. The property was at the end of a quiet canal that was located conveniently by Vaca Cut. We had easy access to the Atlantic and Gulf. The management team was very accommodating. The only thing I would make would-be guests aware of is the dock is small. My boat is 25 feet long, and it was tight. It worked fine, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a boat longer than that. I look forward to our next stay here...

This vacation home was so impressive! Sleek, and modern with top notch amenities. Location couldn't be better, and the booking agent and property manager were both fantastic. It was an excellent family vacation for us!

Lovely Oasis

I vacation in March every year in the area and this is a wonderful property that I would highly recommend. The pool area is definitely the highlight of the home both during the day and in the evening. The home itself is well appointed and we had no issues during our stay. The Key Colony area is a quiet friendly neighborhood. They gather each night at Sunset Park, which is a short walk from the home, to watch the sunset. Be sure to do that one night while you enjoy this wonderful home. I would definitely rent the home again!

Comfortable, beautiful, worth it!

This home is very very nice. It has everything you will need and then some. More like a resort vs a vacation rental. Having the bikes and paddle boards was terrific bonus. The pool is gorgeous and although the water at dock.isnt deep no problem bringing in a boat. The pool gets sun late morning and the only draw back is driving to the beach as no club membership. To make this home perfect add the key colony club membership. Clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house, nice area, fixable problems

This is a very nice home in a nice area and close to all that Marathon has to offer. As you can see from the pictures, the pool is beautiful and there are 4 bedrooms plus a den.

The positives include:

1) Very private backyard with large outdoor dining table and Weber grill and covered seating area just outside the living room.

2) Two kayaks and two stand up paddle boards for visitors' use off the private deck into the canal.

3) Very nicely decorated throughout the house. The house has WiFi and there are also several TVs and a Samsung tablet to use.

However, here are several minor annoyances that made it less than ideal:

1) The pool was good sized but not cleaned while we were there for a week. Lots of leaves etc ended up in the pool. The property manager did send the pool man over to balance the pool because the ph was off.

2) The chairs in the kitchen dining area and the dining room were metal and made lots of noise when pulled out or pushed in - the floors are travertine, so it is a constant metal on tile sound. They also look cheap.

3) Bedroom #3 is advertised as queen sized but appears to be a full, the equity co. still says it is a queen.

4) Recycling was not picked up on garbage day, so there were multiple weeks of recycling/garbage on the side of the house. (This is the "mess on the side of the house" referred to in multiple reviews prior to ours. There are about 8 garbage and recycling cans on the side of the house.)

5) Most troubling was that the tub in the master bath is not anchored and nearly tipped over when I put my foot on the side of the tub.

6) The deck has multiple nails extending about 1/2" in to place. We actually hammered them in to place for the next guests after a few of us injured our feet.

Great property with a few caveats...

Pros: Beautiful property. Pictures represent the property very well. Loved the garage full of bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Pool is private and well maintained. Private backyard. High tech electronics. Kitchen is well equipped for those wanting to cook. Grill outside is a great addition to dining at home. Beautiful area. Recommend Havana Joes for lunch or dinner. Also recommend Florida Keys Steak and Lobster for happy hour and dinner. Community has lots of activity - we enjoyed bike rides every morning.

Cons: There is no window covering on the master bath's large window that faces the street. The master bedroom's mattress is horrible. We travel quite a bit and know we have to be flexible; however, this mattress was the worst ever. The side yard needs to be cleaned up and a fence added around the tanks and trash. There was a door broken in the den. We fixed it. The property manager couldn't help us with the electronics upon our arrival so we had to spend a few hours doing research to get everything working.

Would we book this property again? Absolutely!
