Description

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Caloosahatchee - PANORAMIC River Views

Gulf Access, Heated Pool, Sleeps 10, River Views

This 2500 square foot home is the ultimate vacation home for the entertainer and boater. The house has a very open floor plan, yet affords privacy for all. If one group chooses to watch sports or a Netflix movie on the 60 inch TV in the family room , another group can converse or read in the living room, den, dining room or bedrooms.

The location next to the river is in Palaco Grande, nicknamed the “Gold Coast” of Cape Coral where you can watch dolphins, rays and fish play from the comfort of your deck chair.

Walk down to the private dock under the Tiki Hut to fish or or sunbathe or take your boat on an adventure to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and beyond! By boat, the Gulf of Mexico is just 20 minutes away! We are also close to golf, great restaurnats, shopping and outlet malls.

At days end, the best place to be in Cape Coral is right here poolside on your private lanai, enjoying the breathtaking Sunsets while sipping a beverage, grilling a steak and sampling southern Florida fresh seafood. Our pool is heated both by solar and electric so you can swim at your desired temperature.

Inside, you'll find spacious, light filled rooms with panoramic views of the water from every room! You'll love the sliding doors that disappear into the walls, opening all the main living areas to the screened lanai .

The master bedroom suite is 12 x 35 and is decorated in a spa like atmpsphere with a coastal style king size bed with temperpedic mattress, 2 walk in closets, make up area, 48 inch TV with Netflix, oversized reading chair and walk in shower. Sliding glass doors lead to the lanai and pool.

On the opposite side of the house one guest bedroom features a king bed and the other guest bedroom has a queen bed and a Twin sleeper chair overlooking the water.

Additional sleeping space is available in the den with a queen sleeper (and its own 48 inch TV) and there is a twin mattress and box spring can be brought out of the storage closet and set up for sleeping.

This is truly a home, not just a vacation rental, elegantly appointed and furnished with every amenity needed for a relaxing vacation. The home is fully furnished with all the amenities you need for a easy vacation. Linens, towels, beach towels, Laundry soap, bath soap, dish detergent, fishing poles, cooler, gas grill, etc, etc, this is a home away from home.

Don't miss out on staying in the home with the spectacular view!

About Sue Larson

Bruce is still a practicing attorney in Minneapolis and is an avid waterskier. We live on a large lake here and love all water activities and have always loved Florida for the water and weather. We accelerated the timeline of owning a retirement home in Florida after Sue battled (and survived) two different cancers over a four year time period. We learned the lesson of living our dreams now! We first bought VRBO 332069 in 2010, then both VRBO 666944 and this home this year. We'd like others to live their vacation dreams in our new vacation home!

Sue Larson purchased this house in 2015

Why Sue Larson chose Cape Coral

We admired this home for years as we passed it to boat to the river and onto the Gulf. We would also walk by the home as it is just 5 houses away from our very popular VRBO 332069 home. We loved the location, the fact that the huge Tiki hut gave views in all directions AND the house had a spectacular view of the river. As it is at the entrance to the river, we see dolphins, rays, fish, all sorts of wildlife as well as boat watching! When the home become available in January, 2015 we immediately bought it long distance having never seen the inside--that's how special the location is. We spent a month rehabbing the inside, painting from top to bottom, new flooring, new furniture, everything is brand new! This home is so special we were approached by 2 different couples to purchase it from us as we were working on it.

What makes this house unique

Incredible river views, floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors in every room. Bright, sunny, happy feel. Fabulous fishing, boating or just relaxing on the lanai or under the Tiki Hut at waterside. Wonderful upscale neighborhood of Palaco Grande. Very unique---great home, great location and premier neighborhood

Great view

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our dog stayed for 3 weeks in November. The house is very nice with a great view of the river. Beautiful sun rises and sun sets everyday. Loved the Tiki hut, great place for your evening cocktails while you watch the sun set. Even though it was in the mid 80's every day there was always a breeze making it very comfortable and relaxing. There was not a day that went by that we didn't spend time in the pool. The solar heat made the pool very comfortable. It was a pleasure to work with Sue.

My husband and I along with my parents and my brother and his wife stayed at this lovely home for 10 days. Sue was amazing to work with. She responded to all of our questions immediately when we booked the property, the check in was easy and we had no worries!

The house is exactly as pictured on the site. We had plenty of room for all three couples to spread out and have privacy. The home is beautifully furnished and well stocked. The views were amazing! The pool was clean, warm and a perfect size. My husband fished off the dock daily and caught lots of catfish. We enjoyed the tiki hut and the patio area immensely! We really appreciated being able to drive into the garage and enter the house directly from the garage. The house is in a quiet area, but close to shopping and restaurants. Thank you Sue for sharing your home with us!

a very spacious villa with lovely f tasteful urnishings. Let down by small bathrooms, a very tired kitchen and a small pool with badly laid paving around it, which was full of weeds. I did pull the weeds myself which didn't take very long, but should have been done before we arrived, as it looked uncared for. Also two of the loungers were in a terrible state, and not fit for purpose. As we were only two people it did not affect us, but should a larger party use the villa they need replacing.

Owner's Response: I always welcome feedback, thank you. The very next renter after this reviewer called immediately to let us know 2 of the 6 loungers were damaged and my local manager had them replaced the very same day. I am sorry that this reviewer did not notify us while they were there of this damage so we could immediately rectify it. I was at the home just before (same day) this renter checked in and removed what I thought was all of the never ending small amount of grass that comes up between paver surfaces but thank them for also helping with it if they felt it needed more. In regards to the kitchen, this is the first I have heard of any disappointment, the kitchen has white cabinetry, white Corian countertops and white appliances. I personally like the recent model white color appliances in the large white kitchen but I do know some people like stainless steel and may feel this makes it not as trendy a look. For future renters who wonder about the bathrooms, the master bathroom/ closet /make up area is a very generous and spacious 180 Sq feet . The toilet vanity and shower is approximately 10 by 5 plus a additional 10 x 6 foot make up / changing area and beyond are TWO huge walk in closets. The guest bath is approximately 10 feet by 9 or 10 feet and has a huge walk in closet. I really appreciate guest feedback , I would definitely encourage all guests to immediately report anything that needs fixing as we get very good reviews on the immediate response from my local manager who lives just 5 houses away.

Relaxing & beautiful

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous home for a week. We enjoyed the views from the lanai & the dock. We were able to rent a boat for 3 days (using CCBoat - excellent!). My husband in particular like the fishing (lots of catfish - but it IS a river after all!) and in addition to the catfish, caught a couple snapper and sting rays (all thrown back, of course). I loved getting into the pool in the morning & enjoying a cup of coffee on the lanai. We got several great pictures of the sunrise & sunset from the tiki hut. The home is well stocked in the kitchen with plenty of dishes, cups, utensils, etc. We also enjoyed the Netflix availability & free WiFi connection. The home is clean, well maintained & far enough away from any busy street - but close enough to get to restaurants, grocery stores (and Dunkin Doughnuts right at the end of the street - YUM!)

We would both highly recommend this home to anyone. It was a bit large for just the 2 of us, but we wanted a pool & a dock and that's hard to find unless you rent a big house. It would be perfect for a family looking for both relaxation & fun!

Wonderful, relaxing, tranquil vacation home

  • 5 of 5

The home was just as pictured on the Home Away website. It was landscaped nicely, the furnishings were top grade, very well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen along with linens and towels for the bedrooms and bath. Excellent views of the canal and the river. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the tiki hut every morning. The pool was heated to a warm and relaxing temperature. The home is also very close to restaurants, shopping and not to far from the beach. We especially enjoyed Bonita Beach at beach access number 7. We also loved Ford's Garage for dinner. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and a tranquil setting, this is the home for you.

Sue, was very easy to work with and was always available whenever you needed her and responded quickly to phone calls and emails. We would highly recommend this home and want to thank Sue for allowing us to stay in her beautiful home. Looking forward to going back next year and maybe staying 2 weeks instead of 1 week.
