We turned up and everyone said “this can’t be right.” The apartment is advertised with a lovely looking house front. It’s split into apartments and you actually have to enter from the rear with an array of wheelie bins etc. There are steps up, (we were greeted with childrens toys etc left on the steps), to the shared door and hall which continued with children’s toys. The person who had said they would meet us there at an agreed time with the key was nowhere to be seen. We found a message that they had left the keys under the doormat. In the kitchen we found a dirty hob, oven and fridge/freezer which had a broken/cracked shelf and drawer. We found some glasses with lipstick still on, grubby pans, cups and utensils. The worst of what we found was a grill in the bottom drawer. It was covered in fat/food debris. The dishwasher doesn’t fully open because the door can’t get past the handle on the adjoining cupboard. We washed everything that we needed before using them. The window sills etc were covered in grime. We bought our own kitchen sponges as we were not happy with what was left. There were wires from the tv/sky etc hanging out so you could easily trip on them. The lower bathroom needed a bit of bleaching around joints and in some grouting. In the upstairs bathroom the shower pressure was so low you could not shower so our party of 4 had to use the bottom shower only which meant it took longer to get out and explore. My bedroom door would not shut properly. I had to put a chair against it. This, I am sure, is a safety issue if there was a fire. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have encountered. My pillow protector was stained. The other pillow in the room had no protector on it. The towels that were left were so hard. To sum up we were extremely disappointed with the condition of the property, bearing in mind you get charged for cleaning. In the visitor book there were only 5 entries so far this year. We didn’t leave an entry as we were not happy so the visitor book I think speaks volumes. Balleycastle itself is lovely and conveniently located for site seeing. The Tourist Information gets 5 * for being so friendly and helpful. We had some wonderful meals out in the town. We encountered such friendly people. We were totally blown away with the scenery of NI & Rathlin Island. We loved it so much we will all be returning but not to this property. I notified the owner and he offered us 1 free night if we booked 2 nights!

Nice apartment, centrally located. Very clean, spacious and well managed.

The apartment was perfect for us. Centrally located and only 20 minutes from the Giants Causeway and other landmarks. It was very clean and quiet spacious with 4 bedrooms. Ballycastle is a lovely little town. We are going back in August and have already booked the apartment. Thanks

Great location. My friends and I came over to golf and see the sights. The apartment was perfect. The location is an easy walk to everything in town. Ballycastle is wonderful. The Anzac Bar is across the street and has very friendly and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Big Birthday weekend for our Mum off 86.

Great time was had by all. Connor welcome us all the time we won'ted. The apartment was well heated , clean , central. Great base to travel anywhere in the north coast.

Golfers can perfect their game at any one of twelve golf courses (Ballycastle links course is only a mile from the apartment). Anglers will enjoy some of the best game and coarse fishing in Europe, and every type of water sport is available from scuba diving to water skiing and surfing. The Giant's Causeway with its 40,000 stone columns was the first world heritage site in Ireland. It is Ireland's most famous tourist attraction and a must for all visitors to Ireland (and it's only 20 mins away!). The small village of Bushmills can claim to have the oldest licenced whiskey distillery in the world, established in 1608. There are organised tours to see and sample the various whiskeys.

Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. This swinging rope bridge spans a 60ft wide chasm, giving access to the salmon fishery. We dare you to cross! Not for the faint hearted and it is only 15 mins away.
