About Erica Stone

My fiancé and I recently purchased this property. We are very excited about this adventure. We grew up in Montana, I raised 2 children here and we all love the outdoors. I manage a sporting goods store in Livingston (56 miles north of Gardiner) and Chris is a territory manager for a National sales company. We also purchased the laundry mat located around the corner from our vacation rentals. And if this wasn't enough to keep us busy we added Mr. Blue, an airedale (picture above) We look forward to you being our guest.

Why Erica Stone chose Yellowstone

Our property is located right in the "heart" of things. We have a coin operated laundrymat on premise. We are just two blocks from the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks again for working with us. This place was exactly what we were looking for-close to the park, within walking distance to the restaurants in Gardiner as well as other merits that the town had to offer. It was great to come out of the park each day of our stay and literally have a 3 minute drive to rest and relaxation. Again, thanks so much for working with us and helping to make our trip so enjoyable. 5 *'s

Wonderful vacation getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental is cozy, well located and offers a comfortable "home away from home." The decor is attractive & well chosen for the "Yellowstone experience." The owner has it well stocked for every need. The access to Yellowstone is amazing-it is less than 2 blocks to the park entrance! It is perfect for a couple getaway. We will definitely stay here again. Wonderful vacation experience! Thank you, Erica!

PERFECT / CLEAN / WELL MAINTAINED Stay right before North Entrance of Yellow Stone National Park

  • 5 of 5

To begin with, the property owner Erica is super quick with her response right from questions on booking to checkout. As mentioned in the other reviews, from the road you may not get a clear view of the property, but there are clear instructions from Erica upon booking that makes sure you hit the door without any deviations. Once you enter the property, you realize the value for money, get to have everything readily available for a family with a 4 year old and the stay from then on is HIGHLY COMFORTABLE. Its really a Feel at Home experience the 4 nights we had been there. Wifi / Direct TV with all channels were a good time pass in the early and late hours of the day.

Its very close to North Entrance (< 1 mile) and given Yellow Stone entrance once paid is valid for 7 consecutive days dont need to worry about getting back EOD everyday. We could completely cover Yellow Stone (all sides including Lamar Valley) in 3 full days without any rush.

Overall, its a great place/property for stay and would highly recommend for a family who would like to have no issues during the vacation.

Exterior is a real dump. Laundromat in front. If you can get past that the unit is nice inside.

  • 3 of 5

Laundromat in the front of the building with units behind that. Very unimpressive from the street. No pics of the street frontage on vrbo so it was shocking when you first pull up to the building. Feels like you made a very bad decision. However, once inside the unit it's very cozy and very nicely done. Had everything you might need. Stayed 2 nights and might consider staying there again now that I know what to expect.

Look forward to returning....

First of all, Gardiner is definitely the best place to stay when visiting Yellowstone --- you are right at the north entrance, and very close to a lot of the most popular sites within the Park. I was initially disappointed that we could not get into one of the Park properties, but was glad to find this spot. The owner was very responsive and pleasant. Accessing was easy as could be. This property was located right in the middle of Gardiner. Pros include: very comfortable apartment with all the amentities you would expect, plus some. Full refrig, full range, microwave, coffee maker, etc. in the kitchen and even a grill on the back porch. Coffee and accessories were included! Luggage racks, games in the closet, ample linens, DVD player. The free Wifi service was very adequate. The bed was comfortable; the bath adequately spacious. Sofa and TV fine. The property was clean and seemed relatively new or newly remodeled. The furnishings are "mountainy". You are right next door to the laundry mat, which was very convenient for catching up on the dirty laundry accumulated over two weeks of travel. Multiple restaurants were within a block or two, pleasant walking distance, including The Raven, which is highly rated by TripAdvisor, and we found to be very good. We really enjoyed our stay and were glad to be located where we were. The Cons: only two -- 1.) there is no view -- the apartment is surrounded by either wall or privacy fence, so you have no view from the apartment. We did not mind as we did not spend much time in the room anyway, and there was plenty of light. 2.) The one thing we did mind --- this apartment (#6) is downstairs and #7 is upstairs. The stairwell is right next to the bedroom, and apparently the upstairs living room is right above the bedroom. The folks staying upstairs were far more "night owls" than we, so when we were about to fall asleep around 11pm or so, we would hear them clomping up the stairs, hear them talking in the living room, the TV, etc. way into the wee hours. Doesn't seem to be much insulation between the stairwell and apartment wall, nor between the floors. I imagine the upstairs is great!, but the downstairs was subjected to noise from upstairs. We turned on the A/C fan and played music from our computer, so were able to sleep eventually, but it was a bit of a disappointment. Not bad enough to keep us from returning - we will definitely come back to this property & recommend it highly.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I stayed here for 5 nights and drove into Yellowstone every day to go hiking and see the sights. It is about an hour drive to Canyon from here. The apartment is located right in "downtown" Gardiner. I was a little concerned about the location because I thought it might be too crowded and noisy, but it worked out fine. The apartment is nothing special from the outside but it is beautiful inside. The well-equipped kitchen and bath and all the furnishings were just beautiful, it was immaculately clean and it had everything we needed including TV and Wi-Fi. My brother slept on the pull-out couch. It took us awhile to figure out that the couch has an inflatable mattress. It was very comfortable once we got it properly inflated! The only downside is there is no place to sit outside and enjoy views or the sun. It is completely surrounded by other buildings. But we didn't spend too much time there, we were usually in the park. Several restaurants and bars were just steps away so it was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay here.
