Paul and Sheila started a Bed and Breakfast in 2008. In 2012 it was converted to a 5 bdrm 5 1/2 bath vacation rental. That rental is located about a block from InnSpiration winery which we opened in 2013. We have about 7 acres of grape vines which provide the juice for our wines. The first vacation rental was so well received that we decided to build a second one on the most scenic spot on our farm.
Sheila purchased this cabin in 2015
This luxury cabin was completed June 1, 2015. It was furnished with new beds and appliances. It is located on a scenic ridge surrounded by 150 acres of private timber.
Wildlife abounds and you can enjoy an eagles view of the river valley. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city this cabin is for you.
The setting is picture perfect, the view is awesome, and the wildlife is amazing. If you want more, hike the trails to your favorite spot, enjoy canoeing or kayaking down the Little Sioux River, or take a road trip on the Glacial Scenic highway.
We had an awesome stay in this cabin. It is clean and very well kept. Great views and a lot of wild life around to see throughout the evening. Paul and Sheila were great and little did we know they owned the winery just down the road that is a must if your in the area.
Great getaway! Paul & Sheila have a beautiful cabin and are so welcoming and helpful. The driveway is a bit of a bugger, but we will definitely be back!
We arrived after 2 days of driving from Canada to take a much needed break. We leave tomorrow and we are sad to leave this beautiful gem.
The photos don't do it justice at all. The kitchen is full of all items you'll need. Icemaker! And now I want a gas stove. Dishwasher works. Spices and extras left in the pantry which we appreciate! We cook a lot and had our Canadian Thanksgiving dinner here and had everything to prepare it.
The beds are unbelievable. Bedrooms are roomy. The upstairs bedroom has a deck off of it which is private and overlooks the outstanding views. Excellent comfort. Lots of extra sheets and blankets.
We have a 2 year old and there was loads of room for her to run and have fun inside and out. The bathrooms were excellent. A bath tub upstairs and then a shower downstairs with ample room. Hot water was constant.
One tv in the main area which is such a plus to get away from it all. It's funny, you forget quickly how nice it is to just curl up on the couch and watch a DVD or just read a book. On another hand we think for this cabin being quite out on its own that the Internet is top notch!!! We stayed here for almost 3 weeks and not one issue.
The owners Paul and Sheila are so kind. Out of all the properties we've been to they are the best. Ya just send a text and you receive an immediate response. We never had any issues but feel that they were always there if we needed guidance on finding something in the area, like how to get to their winery tasting room! Wow. Awesome. We will be bringing more bottles back home and looking forward to savoring it with our friends.
Shield and Paul, you two are lovely. Thank you for your hospitality. We will spread the word and will return one day soon.
Oh! Make sure you have 4x4 or be a confident driver. Haha! The driveway to get up to the cabin is worth it, just take your time. It's actually quite fun!!! :)
We had a great time. Lovely view. Comfy house. Nice getaway to walk, read, or just relax.
