Your home away from home is JMODS, LLC Stay Awhile. It's a newly renovated property with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This property sleeps eight, air mattress provided if needed, to sleep 10. The master bed room features a king size bed and its own bathroom. The other independent bedroom has two full size beds. The third bedroom has a twin daybed with a trundle bed. There is a full eat-in kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave.

This property is located in a diverse community just three miles from the French Quarter, Superdome/Downtown, and City Park. Walking distance to Whole Foods and Walgreen's. It is also two blocks from a major bus line that will allow you to connect to the Canal Street streetcar.

My father owned this property for over 20 years and as the neighborhood revitalized I purchased the property from my father and renovated it in 2014.

What makes this house unique

The property is newly renovated and has lots of character. There is hard wood floors throughout the property, a brick fireplace in the den, exposed brick in the kitchen, claw foot bathtub in the guest bathroom, barge board countertops in the kitchen and interesting artwork. There is a porch to sit on and take in the neighborhood. The property is centrally located and has several fast food restaurants,Whole Food Market, drug store, and great restaurants on Esplanade Ave. all in walking distance from the property.

Just what we needed!

My friends and I stayed here for a bachelorette party and it was so perfect. The house was clean and cute and all of the bedding was incredibly comfortable. We had no problem ubering around town and this place had all the amenities for when we stayed in.

Lovely historic home

We enjoyed our stay at the house! It is located in a transitional neighborhood and close to almost everything you want to do. Tyra was very helpful every step of the way. The only thing that we had trouble with were the tenants above us and the water pressure. Other than that, we had a lovely time.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay at my home and thank you for the review. I would like to address your concern about the water pressure. If multiple fixtures are on at the same time then the pressure will drop. This sometimes is the case when you have 8-10 people sharing the same source. Additionally, sometimes the quality of the fixture can affect the pressure. In this case, perhaps the kitchen faucet could be upgraded and we will work towards getting that done when we have a vacancy.

Graduation stay for My Capella Graduation

This was a lovely rental stay for my graduation with Capella University. My family (7 people) was able to enjoy our time in New Orleans and the comfort a roomy home. The King size bed was excellent; my husband, 4 year old, and my self was able to sleep with plenty of room. We had two teenage boys (17 and 18) sleep in one room while the 8 and 11 year old slept on the Captains Bed. Walking distance from the Dollar General Market (they have raw meat like you would see in a regular grocery store), the drive to the Convention Center was about 30 minutes (traffic), and all in all very nice and comfortable. Thank you Tyra and family for the wonderful home. We will be looking into another stay when we plan on another visit to New Orleans (when there is nothing special going on in order to enjoy ourselves fully)

Amazing stay close to everything!

Tyra was very accommodating during our weekend stay. She was quick in responding to our questions in a timely manner.

The home was very close to all the attractions making it easy to navigate to our different destinations. The house itself was very clean and provided adequate room for our 8 guests. The neighbors were very nice and respectful.

We are looking forward to our next trip to New Orleans and if this home is available, we will for sure be booking again!

You will find an art museum, botanical garden, sculpture garden, bike trail, walking paths, 18 hole golf course, and a small amusement park for children. You can walk to the Fair Grounds which is a horse race track but is also home to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
