The home is a very nice property in a romantic setting for couple with living room and large gourmet kitchen in a panoramic view of balcony/beach/pier/sea life with dolphins/islands; nicely appointed with amenities and every comfort of an upscale home including luxury kitchen items, music sound system, library of books with local area readings, plush throws and pillows, complete travel guide info, cookbooks, serving pieces for romantic holiday meals including turkey roaster/decorative platter and much more.

Ask about golf cart rental for driving on the beach and horseback riding on the beach. We serve as your travel subject matter expert for area beaches, venues, museums, fine seafood dining, wildlife, history and activities tailored to your unique personal interests. This includes ideal shelling venues, gorgeous sunsets and beach paths among protected dunes, sea oats and sea turtle nesting.

Rare migratory birds, monarch butterflies, and lighthouses are examples of sightseeing venues we offer as recommended half or full day trips tailored to our guests interests. Spectacular views and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and Dog Island. Endless parade of dolphins, rare birding and sea life in a private, secluded stretch of coastline truly unique and memorable. You will see pelicans and an occasional alligator swim by as he fishes during the full moon.

Meander 500 feet of fishing pier, palm trees, wildlife and marine life. A nature lover and golfer's paradise in a kayak community with kayak expeditions and fishing/sightseeing charters available on site. Located 50 miles south of Tallahassee, Florida in St. James. Explore world-class St. James Golf Course and fishing village of Carrabelle, historic Apalachicola, and all the area has to offer including world renown Wakulla Springs, three highly notable marine labs, 4 lighthouses, Camp Gordon World War II Museum, fishing villages, beaches, state parks, historical landmarks and countless seafood restaurants within less than an hour drive. The home is nestled in a private, well-lit, safe and friendly condo community with serene beauty; uncrowded and remote, mostly undeveloped and undisturbed in this secluded stretch of Florida coastline.

The home's executive suite features quality construction including kitchen and bathroom tile, hardwood floors with large rugs and carpet in bedroom, crown molding throughout, expansive granite countertops, upgraded stainless steel appliances, spacious custom cabinetry, gourmet amenities and nice linens to be enjoyed while observing sunrises (living room/kitchen/balcony), sunsets (extra nice from pier), unique night views from balcony (incredible full moon), coastal habitat, rare native birds and sea birds, kayaking, boating activities and cable television in double leather recliner . Sure to please with comforts of home, owner provides complimentary reserved parking on concrete pad with elevator or covered stairway access; vanity table with mirror and stool; beach chairs/mats/beach towels; generous supply of linens; washer/dryer; starter limited supply of laundry detergent, dish soap, body and hand soap, and trash bags; plentiful cookware, large boiling pots, and roasting cooker; various kitchen utensils; coffee pot; large crock pot; specialty cookbooks; and colorful coastal themed dishes for whimsical entertaining. The kitchen is well appointed to accommodate cooking from economical meals to fine dining with fresh seafood available daily at nearby markets. Easy to prepare are local specialties such as low country boil and steamed shrimp in the home with brochures and information for local dining. Internet has recently been installed.

This website recommends this home (vrbo 722112) for a couple only and possibly one adult guest added or one-two infants or small children. The home has one king bed, one full bathroom, a very large kitchen, attractive furnite pieces with storage features and plenty of room and more than enough provisions for many more and is ideal for two adults comfortably for an intimate and romantic getaway. Leave the pet more comfortable at home with family or friends and enjoy walks on the ever intetesting pier. The home does not offer pet friendly accomodations with high end flooring/area rugs not conducive to spills or pet accidents. Pet walking areas are limited. This home is best suited for a couple with one guest with an emphasis on the best of a care-free and memorably getaway. Too many people will be less comfortable and cause safety concerns since we adhere to safety standards regarding our home and guests.

A confirmation email will be sent to the guest personal email address due to length since much info is shared about the home, stay, driving directions and area info considered most helpful in planning the stay. Guest is asked to acknowledge receipt to confirm the number staying and provide drivers license number merely for some identification for our files regarding who is staying in the home for security and contact reasons in case of some emergency. This email response is needed no later than several days before check in and preferably upon receipt of email confirmation agreement or as soon as feasible after the initial payment is made on credit card to reserve the home. With an initial payment of security deposit and vrbo service fee, vrbo will release the contact info for guest and owner to connect and communicate further. A phone call to safely receive by phone the lockbox code and brief check in instructions is recommended the evening before checkin with other details provided in advance. Please respond regarding confirmation and number of guests staying.

This clarification prevents a repeat experience of the one negative review regarding cancellation and an immediate 100% refund due to no response to our repeat requests to confirm couple only since repeat references were made to multiple people in the family vacationing in the area every year for many years with reference to staying in a nearby rental home inland which sleeps 8 was made . We were unable to confirm how many guests would be staying when only two adults were requested; conflicting info pointed to various family members with this family of five returning each year which our home safely cannot accomodafe,. In the absence of repear requests to respond with confirmation, for perhaps multiple residences rented, we determined our home was not a best fit to accommodate this family. Despite dealing with a terminal illness and death of our immediate family member at that exact time while trying to confirm number of guests, our most sincere offer to assist with other accomodations was rejected. The guest was not understanding but fortunately made alternatI've arrangements the same day by return to a nearby property he was familiar with based on repeat visits which was more suitable and appropriate for his family. We fully refunded all funds, apologized for any inconvenience caused due to communication, circumstances and coordination and regret the traveler being angry and offended as demonstrated in the review with untruths. We are appreciuative of our guests as indicated in any other positive reviews over many years of accomodating guests in our home who feel as though they are treated as friends and family.

Guest couple enter via covered concrete parking, elevator, lockbox, one-level, onto black/tan oriental-design hall runner into our well provisioned home with furnishings, upgraded hardwood floors, off-white bedroom carpet and oriental-design large area rugs as floor coverings in our desig for couple only with no pet allowed. The 800 sq. ft. plus large balcony works best based on our experiences. The home is comfortably provisioned for a two person maximum in respect of guest safety, Fire/Marshal requirements, and compliance with other regulations. The one bathroom with door entry from hallway and master bedroom works best for couple only and is not conducive a larger group. Thank you for respecting our limit of two persons and no additional overnight guests. A community pool access at the nearby St. James Golf Course is available for a month couple rental rate of approximately $50 per month. Visit $10 Sunday Brunch Buffet!

This was my wife and mines first visit. We where very fortunate to stay in the Carrabelle area and the unit was so beautiful. If you want a tranquil bay setting, this is your place.

The "Forgotten Coast"

A nice little hideaway on the gulf. Great for a quiet getaway. Unfortunately for us Tropical Storm Cindy was hitting all during our stay, but still plenty to see and do. Monday's are a little tough to find open restaurants. To save some driving just go to Tropical Shrimp Co. in Panecea. Food is good and service friendly.

The renter pays for using a credit card on the entire cost. Make sure you see that in the owners contract. Not the same as Home Away's policy. Otherwise you can't beat it.

ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE OWNER

I booked this property 2 weeks in advance of a 4 night stay and 2 days prior to my arrival the owner cancelled. Actually had the nerve to call me the night before and say they were preparing for my arrival and then when I checked my email the reservation had been cancelled. Which story is correct? That you are expecting me or that you have an emergency? I SEE THE PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE THIS MORNING AFTER MY RESERVATION WAS CANCELLED.

BEWARE! If, you as a traveler did this to the owner; you would not receive your money back and would be given a negative review for other owners to see AND HomeAway offers no recourse. I am sitting here 48 hours before my planned trip with absolutely nowhere to stay. I sure that this review will make its rounds in the good ol' porperty owner circle of this area however, I DONT CARE THIS TREATMENT IS DESPICABLE!!!!!
