No need to leave the property

  • 5 of 5

I can't begin to say how much fun we had. 10 great friends gathered for a "Big Chill" weekend and we never left the property. The snow and cold had something to due with that, but we didn't mind. There was just so much to do. I think we came to a consensus that ground floor was perfectly laid out. Between the tournament sized pool table, the bubble hockey, Skee-ball, and full sized shuffleboard table, the room was a flurry of activity. The pool table was level and played perfectly. The bubble hockey was a little twitchy at times, but playable and responsible for some of the weekend's loudest screams. The Skee-ball was great for a bunch of folks used to vacationing at the Jersey shore. But it was the shuffleboard table that really stood out to both guys and girls. It was old with a lot of character. We assumed it came from an old bar and even wondered had we played on it at it's original home. The bar area downstairs was also great! There was plenty of room to utilize all the various attractions at once. The top floor was first rate as well. Great kitchen and the dining room and living room we're plenty big enough to accommodate all 10 of us. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all nice as well. We BBQ'd one night using the propane grill provided and it was clean and there was plenty of gas (some other places we looked at made yo bring your own). Lastly, but maybe most important, was that the Winelands were great to work with. They were very responsive and easy-going. We'd certainly rent again and would recommend to friends, family and anyone else looking for a great vacation home.

Great space for a large group

  • 5 of 5

We had 13 friends from all over the east coast converge on this fine abode and it met all of our needs and then some. The basement was excellent for epic hang sessions, the rooms were comfortable and the grounds were perfect for a lovely spring afternoon in the mountains. I would absolutely recommend this house to friends, family, and even my own arch nemesis, if I were in a good mood. Thanks for a great space and an excellent weekend!

There's nothing negative to say about this place. From the moment our group entered the property until the moment we left we had an awesome time. The Winelands have created a gorgeous destination. This house is fit for groups of all ages whether it's a group of friends trying to get away or families on vacation, they have it all!

Just What We Needed!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of twelve guys were looking for a Pocono house to escape the rigors of life for a long weekend. Scott and Danielle's wonderful home was the perfect getaway! Scott called us on the night we arrived to ensure we had everything that we needed and to encourage us to call if anything came up along the way. That call was never needed!

The house was perfect. The spacious living room provided a fantastic area for to keep up with the Summer Olympics and other sporting events in comfort. The huge dining room table was perfect for those of us who wanted to start up a leisurely poker game or enjoy a nice conversation over a good meal. The back deck was right up against the woods and had the feel of a secluded mountain area where we could grill and relax. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed for our cooking needs. The bedrooms had comfortable beds. Obviously with twelve people, some of us had to bunk up together, but that was completely expected.

The real treat of the house was the basement. This amazing space kept us entertained all weekend. The bar was a perfect area to sit around and watch a game while having a drink or two. The pool table was in great shape and the balls rolled nicely. The real highlight for us was the shuffleboard table. It seemed like there was always a game running and we even had a couple of double elimination team tournaments that kept us engaged for hours and hours.

I couldn't be more happy with how our retreat turned out. Scott and Danielle were awesome to work with and we look forward to renting their property again, and again.

Perfect Home for our annual family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our family reunion (6 adults and 5 children ages 1-11). The home is just as described -- newly renovated with many amenities and the game room was a definite hit. Since we ate most of our meals in during our 7 day stay, we found the kitchen and dining area to be especially excellent. The beach and playground areas were great and we even got in a tennis game. Scott and Danielle are excellent communicators and I highly recommend their home.
