Peaceful
Another wonderful stay at the Goddard’s cabins. We spent hours on the front porch swing, just enjoying the quiet, singing birds and cool morning breeze

Cozy Cabin Retreat
Lots of great things to say....would definitely recommend and hope to come back. Gracious host, georgous property, well stocked cabin, lots of wildlife, front porch swing, clean. We were in the area for a fishing tournament at Lake Sebilius - which was fantastic bass fishing.

About the host

My husband, Laurel and I live on a working ranch. Goddard Ranch was homesteader by Laurels grandparents in 1878. The family has been here for over a hundred years raising cattle, farming and selling farm equipment. John Goddard is the fourth generation owner do Goddard Ranch and Equipment.
I love the ranch life and wanted to have a guest house. In 1998 we moved an old house to the ranch and renovated it. What a job!! We later added a bathroom and extended the family room. Then in 2002 my husband bought a house at a farm sale which we moved onto land east of the ranch house. Hence the "east Cabin. So now we have two guest houses that we offer for people who want to experience rural country living.

Why they chose this property

The East Cabin is surrounded by trees with a creek running south of the house. The area is home to deer, turkey, pheasant, raccoons, rabbits, coyotes and other wildlife you will enjoy seeing. It is an excellent place for family reunions, family vacations, hunting, retreats, or any other reason to get out of the city and enjoy the serenity of nature.
The main level of the cabin has two bedrooms with twin beds in each. Dinning area and living room. There is a full kitchen that includes refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and all dishes and cookware. There are two bathrooms on the main floor, one which is handicapped accessible. The main floor also has a LazyBoy chair that pulls out to a twin bed.
The lower level has sliding glass doors that go out onto a patio with a view of the trees the surround the cabin. There is a family room with two sofa sleepers in the lower level, one queen size and one regular size, also a pool table and TV. The lower level also has a bathroom combined with laundry facilities.
The attic room has living space and a balcony with a wonderful view of trees and prairie land.
