About Customer Service

About: In 2003 while living in Atlanta, we accepted an invitation to visit a friend in beautiful Blue Ridge, Georgia over the Labor Day weekend, and that one event changed the course in the lives of our family. To discover the incredible beauty that Blue Ridge offered, and to realize that this was just an hour and a half away from Atlanta presented a set of circumstances that set some wheels in motion. What started as a family adventure turned into a family business that has produced 30+ luxury mountain homes over the course of 10 years. Today, Cabin Rentals of Georgia (CRG) serves as the premier provider of luxury vacation home rentals and Property Management in Blue Ridge, Georgia. We love warm hospitality, special friends, fantastic food, and amazing ambiance. These things embody all that CRG is, and it is our desire to share this with you. Since 2003, many of our past guests return each year because of the moments they've cherished after vacationing with us. In fact, some of our guests have captured this very lifestyle for themselves by purchasing a cabin and are currently partnering with CRG in our Property Management Program. It is our privilege to provide a luxury vacation home where you and your loved ones can relax, laugh, and enjoy the good life. Experience Blue Ridge, the South's best-kept vacation secret, with the warmth and privacy of your own luxury mountain home at Cabin Rentals of Georgia. - Gary and Lissa Knight

Guestbook comments from the manager

I wanted to spend my December birthday in a beautiful cabin in the mountains and this was the perfect place! The cabin is gorgeous and we had a fabulous time! The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen totally equipped, loved the pool table and the fireplaces! On our drive from Atlanta, we stopped to buy food supplies and we were set! One day, we ventured into the quaint town and shopped and grabbed a bite. Walmart was close by, so if you need anything, it's easy to get - although we never wanted to leave! We would definitely return and recommend this rental to anyone looking for a luxury cabin. experience.

Great views, quiet gated neighborhood, plenty of space!

  • 4 of 5

We (sadly) only had two evenings at this wonderful home, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. TONS of deck space and seemingly new furniture, building, etc. The views were amazing and close enough to downtown, but also far enough away to enjoy quiet time.

Very disappointing

  • 1 of 5

Yes, the views are wonderful, but that's where it ends. The photos are great, but when we arrived my wife said "Are you sure this is it?". The porch furniture shown in the "outdoor fireplace setting" was stacked up in a corner....and a bunch of dead wasp greeted us upon entering the house. Together we unstacked the furniture.... (Not recommended for older folks)...but the cushions were old and dirty. We made it work.....killed a few live wasp in the cabin over the next few days....but the clincher was the smoke alarms. They started a consistent chirping at 2:30 am.....no baterries could be found, so we lost sleep that night. Called maintenance and management early the next morning. Maintenance never called back, but the manager called two hours later and said she would send maintenance out to check it (it's a long trip from anywhere for this cabin!).....but too late....we had to pack up and leave one day early. The sound drove us nuts, and it was far too cold to wait outside on the deck....so we had no choice. Plus, we had our puppy with us....poor thing was going crazy. Although it is hard to believe, the management company refused to reimburse us for the forfeited night......claims we should have stuck it out in the cabin and waited for them to send someone out. Very frustrating. The management company is very "contract" and "fee" oriented! In fact, it cost us more to bring our dog than it would to bring a human guest! The daily rate you see in the ad is only the beginning.....when they add cleaning fees, reservation fees, deposits, etc......the cost is more than double what you expected. And, if you want dry firewood to fuel that beautiful fireplace?.....it's another $90! Unbelievable....and we will never return!

Owner's Response: Dear Jeff, First, thank you for mentioning the wonderful views at Bella Vista Lodge. We agree that they are gorgeous and one of the many appeals of the home. Though we respect guest feedback and are always eager to use it to continue to provide great service, we can't help but feel this review was intended to hurt our company because we did not give in after you threatened to attack us online if we did not offer you a free night. As you mentioned, we were notified of the smoke alarm issue the morning of your last day. Our records show that you called about this matter shortly after 8 AM, and we called back shortly after 9 AM. We would have sent someone out immediately had we been given the chance, but you left before we could remedy the situation. We do sincerely apologize for that inconvenience. Regrettably, smoke alarm batteries seem to have a mind of their own sometimes, and we are sorry that this disrupted your stay. We hope that you were able to escape the noise on one of the home's three levels. As we never received any other calls during your stay, we were unaware of your additional complaints. It is true that with spring tend to come wasps, which is why this home is sprayed regularly to keep them at bay. Regarding your complaints about the price of bringing your pets, you were given a breakdown of costs prior to signing the rental agreement, including the cost for your pets. If you were uncomfortable with the charges, we find it strange that you would agree to them beforehand. Given that pets are much more inclined to shed and create heavier wear and tear on the property than humans, and that they require additional cleaning and fumigating, we simply ask that guests help to cover the costs associated with their presence in the cabins. However, you did not mention in our exchanges that you planned to bring a puppy, as we would not have allowed this to begin with. It is unfortunate that you chose to complain online after the fact instead of coming to us straightaway if you truly found any issues at the cabin. Because you chose to bring them up *after* you were packed and ready to go, it just seems like a way to get out of paying for the last night. We wish these matters could have been cleared up immediately, as we do everything we can to ensure guest comfort, and we would have done the same for you if we had been given the chance. Sincerely, The CRG Team
