2 bedroom apartment to sleep 4 overlooking Lake Windermere

Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.

The apartment was fully refurbished in February 2007 to add a new bathroom suite, kitchen, fireplace and carpets and in 2008 high quality double glazing was installed. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. All beds were replaced in September 2015. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV, and PS2

The bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and wash basin. The Kitchen is newly fitted with ample workspace and includes oven, hob, microwave, toaster, washer and dishwasher. The large lounge /dining room was redecorated in March 2012 and is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. There is a TV with Freeview and DVD/Video players and a selection of dvds, videos, books and games. The apartment has free wifi access. This room has a bay window allowing spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.

The house is set in a quiet location but only a short walk to the heart of Bowness

There is ample parking for the apartment.

Excellent, location with fantastic views, didn't use the car much due to location. Very clean and spacious. Weather was brilliant as well so had a great time. Would visit again !

A Perfect Stay

We loved this apartment! The view is superb, we could have just gazed at it for the whole stay. But the rest of the apartment was also extremely comfortable, spacious, warm, clean and very well equipped. The bedroom is very quiet and the bed's incredibly comfortable, the bathroom has the best shower we've had across Britain! Kitchen has everything we needed, we cooked several times.

The booking process was simple, the directions were clear, everything went like clockwork. A perfect stay.

Beautiful views .... well worth the uphill walk ;)

Stunning views over Lake Windemere from the dining table in the sitting room. Perfect way to start each day and end each day of sightseeing in the beautiful Lake District. Bed extremely comfortable, as were the incredibly comfy sofas. An abundance of tourist brochures in the drawers of the coffee table made selecting things to do quite easy. Kitchen well fitted out and spotless. Bonus was the glimpse now and then of curious cows looking in from the adjoining paddock into the windows ;) The walk down to the village centre was brisk .. the walk back uphill less so (but invigorating and helped work up an appetite). Bathroom well appointed .... overall our stay in Bowness was an absolute delight and we were sorry to leave.

Perfect for Us.

Wonderful view, great amenities, good supply of local tourist information, especially about local hiking. We were a family of four, three adults and one child and the apartment was a perfect fit. Good communication from the owner, all was as promised.

Fantastic flat with terrific view of Lake Winderme

We stayed here for seven days and would thoroughly recommend the top-floor two-bedroom flat. Ignore the walk up the steep hill; the views from the bay window more than adequately compensate for the effort. The premises are extremely comfortable. Only one very minor drawback. We wished the fridge had even a small icebox. Other than than, it was a perfect base for touring the Lake District.

Wow!!!!

From the moment you enter the shared entrance you know that you are going to find something special as this area is excellently maintained. The flat is beautiful and feel the pictures don't do it justice. With all the little touches it is like you are staying in someones home not a holiday flat. It is beautifully furnished and the bed in the main room is one of the best I have slept in apart from my own.

The view from both the lounge and second bedroom are to die for and you would be hard pressed to better them anywhere. You can just relax and take in the ever changing views.

The walk down to Bowness is steep but pleasant but the return journey is challenging.

you should very proud of the way you maintain your flat. to best high standard

Bowness is a large village on the edge of Lake Windermere. The lake offers all manor of watersports including sailing and canoeing, there are details of boat hire in the apartment. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and a cinema within walking distance. Bowness is the home of the Beatrix Potter museum and a short car journey from the writer's home.

For the walker there are details of walks from the doorstep up onto Brantfell behind the house.

This is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District
