2 bedroom apartment to sleep 4 overlooking Lake Windermere

Brantfield House is a large Victorian house set in mature gardens in a quiet location overlooking the village of Bowness and Lake Windermere. The apartment is on the first floor at the front of the house, with beautifully proportioned rooms offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding fells.

The apartment was fully refurbished in February 2007 to add a new bathroom suite, kitchen, fireplace and carpets and in 2008 high quality double glazing was installed. All rooms are well furnished, spacious, light and airy. The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. All beds were replaced in September 2015. Each room has plentiful storage and the twin room has a TV, and PS2

The bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and wash basin. The Kitchen is newly fitted with ample workspace and includes oven, hob, microwave, toaster, washer and dishwasher. The large lounge /dining room was redecorated in March 2012 and is comfortably furnished with leather settees and dining table set in the bay window. There is a TV with Freeview and DVD/Video players and a selection of dvds, videos, books and games. The apartment has free wifi access. This room has a bay window allowing spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells.

The house is set in a quiet location but only a short walk to the heart of Bowness

There is ample parking for the apartment.

Splendid

We stayed a week in the beautiful appartment.

Even when the weather was not Always perfect, the view from the window was splendid.

I can only say that the week was to short .

And the appartment is a five star!

Just right

I really don't want to tell you how much we enjoy this flat, I also don't want you to know just how good the view is from the lounge window. Why?....because we want to keep this flat to ourselves.

Wonderful!

This was our first visit to the Lake District and this flat was perfect! We enjoyed climbing to the top of the fell behind the house every morning to visit with the sheep and enjoy the 360 degree view. The views from the flat itself were spectacular, too! We watched the sun set over Windermere each evening. We also walked from this flat to the Windermere train station on the Dales Way and took the bus back. This flat is so comfortable, and the bus stop is just at the bottom of the hill. It's also an easy walk to the pier where the boats take off. We couldn't have found a better place!

Wonderful accommodations in Bowness

My sister and I stayed here for three nights in early March and loved it. It was a very comfortable and stylish flat with a great view. It was very close to town but as others have mentioned a short but steep climb up the hill. Christine answered all my questions promptly and was very pleasant in her interactions. I would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic apartment, in an awesome location. Very much recommended

Had a great stay at the apartment with my wife and 3 year old son. It is spacious, clean, comfortable! The location is ideal for Bowness-on-Windermere and the views from the apartment are outstanding. The owners also made our stay over Christmas extra special with a tree and gifts. Would whole heartedly recommend this accomodation if you are planning on heading to the Lakes

Brilliant

Excellent, location with fantastic views, didn't use the car much due to location. Very clean and spacious. Weather was brilliant as well so had a great time. Would visit again !

Bowness is a large village on the edge of Lake Windermere. The lake offers all manor of watersports including sailing and canoeing, there are details of boat hire in the apartment. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and a cinema within walking distance. Bowness is the home of the Beatrix Potter museum and a short car journey from the writer's home.

For the walker there are details of walks from the doorstep up onto Brantfell behind the house.

This is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District
