You will fall in love with this unique family lake home that was designed and built for relaxing in the true "up north" scenario. It has a welcoming Great Room/ Kitchen/ Dinning area with a real stone log burning fireplace. The main living area is masterfully constructed of log siding/Full log beams and custom crafted log trim throughout.
The kitchen is a chefs dream with a horseshoe Granite Island and center gas cook top. All stainless steel appliances which includes a separate built in ice maker. Kitchen comes with all top of the line cooking ware and gadgets imaginable. Seating for 14 with the large log table in the dinning area.
From the main living area you have access to the log railed deck which has a step in Whirlpool/Spa and outside dining and seating. Outside yard area is where the fun will be! Complete with large fire pit area, horseshoe pits, 2 grills (1 BBQ, 1 flat top grill). And for the wee little ones a castle building sand box.
The upstairs Private Master Suite is surrounded by custom windows that overlook the crystal clear waters of Lake O'Brien. Complete with a gas burning fireplace and relaxing sitting area. Master Bedroom also includes a large separate attached bedroom thru private french doors. This room has a double bed and plenty of room for a few pack and play beds if needed. Master bath has a tile walk in double shower and large Jacuzzi bath.
Lower level consists of 4 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens, and 2 singles), full bath and laundry.
The lake home is very connected- 6 TV's, Wi-Fi, 5-DVD's, 1 Blue Ray (Main). Total House Sound System. ( Main level/Master/Outdoor Deck and Garage).
We are located 5 miles east of the fun town of Crosslake. My family has been coming and living on the beautiful Lake O'Brien for 45 years and there is nothing like it for All-Season Fun. It is the perfect, relaxing and much needed vacation spot. Enjoy!
Just spent a week there with 10 adults and one 3 year old. All I have to say "Perfection".
"Up North" vacation rentals have been our family summer getaway for many years. We all agreed this one is by far our favorite to date. Why? (1) The owners could NOT have been easier to deal with or worked harder to make our stay a pure pleasure. (2) The lake home - both beautiful and functional (design, furnishings and ambience), property (expertly landscaped with plants and flowers everywhere) and extensive outdoor amenities (recent model gas grill, hot tub, bricked firepit area close to the house, pontoon, paddle boat, kayaks & canoe -- to mention just a few) were "top of the line" and impeccably maintained. The lake itself is incredibly clear (not tannin stained as many up north lakes are) with a sandy, shallow, shaded area by the dock perfect for little ones -- our 2-1/2 year old grand-daughter never wanted to get out! (She also loved the sandbox and many toys available to keep her occupied!) The overall attention to detail is amazing and the price surprisingly reasonable...we can hardly wait to return!
Perfect in every way. Had 5 adults and 5 kids for our Family Vacation in July. The included Pontoon was a bonus that we used every day. The kitchen was equipped with every thing we needed. The home is spacious, well designed and the personal touches were enjoyed and appreciated. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the hot tub. Sitting around the fire pit late at night was wonderful.

We were greeted by the owner when we arrived and the place was amazing! We have three grown children and their spouses that were able to join us for most of the time and the place accommodated all of us very comfortably. The gourmet kitchen provided us with the room and the necessary gadgets to cook wonderful meals. The outdoor griddle was a plus and used for morning breakfasts on the deck. We were blessed with gorgeous weather all week so naturally most of our time was spent outdoors enjoying fishing, kayaking (also included) and the pontoon to tool around on the beautiful water. The closeness to downtown Crosslake, Pequot, and Nisswa provided us with the shopping we love to do and the boys played several rounds of golf at Crosswoods. We couldn't be more pleased with our vacation this year and although we've been vacationing in the Crosslake area for over 30 years, this was, by far, the best place we have ever had the privilege of staying. We would do it again in a heartbeat.
This property is true to it's pictures and a beautiful home. Especially nice was all the extras it comes with....pontoon, kayaks, yard games, beautiful kitchen and surround sound. Even has a piano! The owners are nice to work with and we were so impressed and happy with the property that we already booked for next year. It is definitely one of the better homes to rent and well worth it.
We really enjoyed this home. It had everything we needed, and is really a lovely space. It is a great space for a large family gathering. The lake is not huge, just a nice size. We enjoyed the nearby sandbar, and boating/tubing. The pontoon is really nice too.

$1,000 security deposit required. The deposit will be refunded following the cleaning and inspection within 14 days.
Note: Reservations made more than 4 months prior to arrival may be subject to a rate increase of not more than 5% of the rental amount. Until final payment is made, rates are subject to change without notice
A cleaning fee will apply for all rentals. The amount is $250.00.
Pontoon usage is included with week rentals. The pontoon must be left full of gas or a fee of $100 plus the gas will be charged.
All rates are for cash or check. Payment with a credit card will be subject to a convenience fee of 3.25%.
