Quiet location with plenty of activities nearby if you want them

Our holiday apartment is in San Agustin, an attractive relaxing resort, twenty five minutes drive from the airport, in the sunny south of the island of Gran Canaria.

The resort has a safe sandy beach, with watersports, bar/restaurant and coastal walkway that reaches to Maspalomas and it's famous sand dunes. Gran Canaria is a sub- tropical island with a climate to match. The average temperature is 25 degrees centigrade, making it an ideal year round holiday destination.

The Canary Islands belong to Spain but are located off the Western coast of Africa, on a level with southern Morocco. Gran Canaria is described as a mini continent because of the variety of landscapes to be found there, from the endless sandy beaches in the south, made for basking in the sun all year round, to the dramatic rock formations and mountains of the interior and the island's capital Las Palmas located in the north, an exciting cosmopolitan city with it's own beaches, elegant stores and a broad range of cultural activities.

Las Lomas is a well run, secure/private complex, right on the coast. It has a pool with sun beds and shades and gardens with tropical plants.

The apartment is fully furnished and well equipped.It has one twin bedroom with two single beds and one double bedroom bed. The lounge has a Corner Sofa which comfortably seats 4 people. The kitchen has been upgraded and has a washing machine, a microwave and a small oven. We have also refurbished the bathroom which now has a Walk in shower and we provide towels. The balcony has sea views but we are not on the beach itself. There is a very useful clothes airer on the balcony. You can wash your clothes, hang them out to dry, go to the beach and everything will be dry on your return :)

We have wi fi in the apartment which we felt was an essential.

All linen, including beach towels, is provided. The apartment is fully serviced before and after your arrival including a welcome pack.

We have a small library of a variety of easy read novels that you are welcome to read during your stay.

We are located in a peaceful area and all amenities are easily reached. A variety of shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance and if you'd like to go further afield the local buses and taxis are efficient and economical; there is a taxi rank right opposite Las Lomas. There's a small bar at the entrance to the complex where drinks, ices and snack meals are served, so if you don't feel like going too far after a long day at the pool or beach, you don't have to!

Sun and shade

All the basics provided. Apartment situated on a hill top amongst resident and holiday homes. The street ends in a cul de sac, opposite a large Apart/Hotel complex. So, the road can be busy with buses, taxis and delivery vans throughout the day, and is not ideal for light sleepers in the front bedroom. Parking is also at a premium,"muy, muy dificil" to quote a resident, so don't expect to find a spot easily if you hire a car. The building itself appears to be well maintained and the pool is always clean. Beaches are about 1km away down the hill, and ideal for beach lovers. We went for the sun and we were not disappointed

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The area is becoming more popular and Jet2 use the hotel opposite the apartment for their guests so there are coaches arriving throughout the day. We are looking to invest in aluminium blinds anyway to keep in line with our refurbishment programme. There is always an option to hire a car from the agents near the apartment which could alleviate some parking. Reasonably priced taxis and public transport is another option. We really do appreciate your feedback and know that it helps other customers to make their booking.

Nice apartment for 2

Nice apartment in very quiet area. Everything good besides the difficulty with parking in the area and a large lack of hot water in the shower. We were 4 people and the water was only enough for 2.5 person. Unusually good beds, considerably above average.

We will be speaking with the builder who installed the water heater as it should hold sufficient water for a family of 4 people to shower individually. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. With regard the parking situation, I understand it varies depending on what time of the day you are trying to park. Unfortunately, the block does not have designated parking spaces. We hope you enjoyed staying at our apartment and we hope to welcome you again in the future.

Comfortable apartment in pleasant resort

The apartment was well equipped and comfortable.The pool was fine and the beach at St.Augustin was lovely. Although the view of the sea from the the balcony was a bit limited, the balcony itself was spacious and we ate all our meals on it.

Ideal holiday stay

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. From the initial contact to our departure everything was good. Beverly picked us up from the airport and returned us to the airport at the end of our holiday even at 5.3am. A great convenience. The apartment was spotless and we'll fitted out. The bed was really comfortable. The only small problem we had was with the hot water. It was a bit intermittent but this may have been because of a new boiler not being tuned properly. Having a washing machine was a great advantage.

The apartment was in a quiet location but within walking distance of the shops and restaurants and beaches.
