Kenegie Manor is a 400 year old Grade II listed Manor House which has been sympathetically restored and converted into a number of individual apartments. Set in 11 acres, guests benefit from the use of the Manor's Tennis Courts, Indoor swimming pool, Sauna, Pitch and Putt golf course and restaurant/bar.

Kenegie Manor is situated in 11 acres of quiet private grounds near the village of Gulval, within walking distance of the beach and Penzance and is 6 miles from St Ives. The surrounding grounds have spectacular views of Penzance and the very popular fairy-tale island of St. Michaels Mount.

The newly restored first floor Manor House Court apartment has views over the quiet courtyard. It has an abundance of character - with high ceilings and striking features such as the large 3 metre high sash windows. The apartment is reached via a gravel pathway from the ample parking area leading through to the private Manor courtyard.

Inside and from the lobby, the large lounge is equipped with Wifi, a Wide Screen TV, DVD and Freeview, leather furniture and a Sofa Bed allowing the property to accommodate up to 6 people. The dining area also seats 6 comfortably.

Unique to this apartment is the large separate Galley kitchen which is fully fitted with appliances such as Washer/Dryer and Dishwasher and having the benefit of an additional utility area.

The spacious master bedroom has views over the courtyard and is fitted with modern bedroom furniture. The second double bedroom has twin beds. The high-spec modern bathroom includes a bath and power shower. Every detail in the construction, finish and furnishings ensure a stylish property provides a comfortable stay.

Facilities available from March to October are - an indoor pool (approximately 50 metres from the apartment door), sauna, bar/restaurant, tennis courts and small children's play area. The Manor House apartments share a private garden at the front of the house, which provides ample space to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Kenegie Manor, now painstakingly and sympathetically restored, enjoys it's new role as playing host to the guests seeking tranquility and other creature comforts.

Nice apartment, great area

Nice apartment clean and comfortable accommodation, site nice not to far from Penzance 5minute drive. Site facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade a little bit of paint and modernised especially swimming pool changing rooms and bar and restaurant area.

Great holiday flat!

The flat was as described, and everything was provided as promised. The place was clean and quite well-maintained - one or two things didn't work (such as the bathroom extractor fan and the double bedroom's ceiling light) but nothing that detracted from comfort and convenience. The owner left us a pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived which was greatly appreciated after the long journey. (And there was enough dish washer tablets provided which was also a great convenience!) It would have been nice to have two keys to the flat than just one. The swimming pool was good fun, and the bar/pub on site was also a great convenience.

Nearby attractions that we really enjoyed: Penzance's Jubilee Pool and Chysauster. We also walked to Marazion to St Michael's Mount. A short drive away - we really enjoyed the Telegraph Museum at Porthcurno and the Barbara Hepworth Museum at St Ives. And all the lovely beaches.

I would definitely recommend this flat!

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review and kind recommendation. We must apologies for the light not working in the bedroom, albeit there are two bedside lamps in the room this should have been working and would encourage our guests in future to inform the housekeeper who would have replaced the bulb. With regards to the extractor fan, again this could have been brought to the attention of the housekeeper, however since your stay, we have been to the property and the extractor fan seems to be working fine, this does need to be turned on (switch above the bathroom door) in order for it to work.

Pleasant apartment- onsite facilities disappointing

Lovely apartment ,very comfortable and airy. Facilities on site a little worn out, bar/ cafe not inviting.

Could have done with more local info. Found best beach on last day.

Take away food very limited and pool only open limited times a shame

I agree, with regards to the facilities, which can be used by guests of the Kenegie Manor Court apartment, could be more inviting, we unfortunately have very little influence over the running of these which are separate to Kenegie Manor and our apartment, but the new owners of the park are spending a lot of time and money to improve the surrounding area and its facilities, while still trying to maintain the quiet and exclusivity of this private holiday park. I will however pass on your comments to the new owners, who are keen to improve and continue to invest in the holiday park. With regards to local information, we do provide some details via the homeaway site, and we are mindful that our tastes are not always the same as others, however in future we will include within the apartment more information on the surrounding area should it be required. An excellent holiday apartment. Very spacious with all the facilities you need.

The property was excellent. The staff were very helpful and we had a great holiday. The holiday park where the manor is situated is a bit 'tired' but this didn't impact our holiday and it was a lovely and peaceful location.

Lovely modern well equipped interior, in a gorgeous period property.

I absolutely loved the property! There is everything you could possibly need, including a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave. The smaller details are also taken care of, with there being a full sized ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer provided. The apartment is spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a relaxing atmosphere for when you get home from days out at the many places of interest that are easily accessible from the property. I also liked the fact there is a separate freezer and fridge, meaning more space for shopping if you are wanting to cook at the apartment, which I must admit I avoided, as there are so many fabulous places to eat nearby.

The on site coffee bar and restaurant serve good meals and snacks, and there is even an indoor heated pool on site! We caught taxi's into Penzance from the site, and this was only about £5 each way, and you can walk into the town in about 45 minutes.

The surrounding area is stunning, and there is so much to do for all ages. We will definitely be returning to stay here. Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday.

Fab location, good facilities

The apartment was perfect for family of four, great comfy sofa for relaxing after busy days out. There are so many lovely beaches, coves and villages in the local area it is a great base for exploring. Would recommend the restaurant in Carbis Bay, yummy food followed by fab beach. Would also suggest the Minack theatre, we watched a kids show there, just an hour long which was great, you do need to book though!

Penzance, Land's End and the picturesque fishing villages of St Ives, Mousehole and Newlyn are all close at hand. St Ives is a very popular Cornish resort town and is approximately 6 miles away and offers the world famous Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum. Surfers and bathers are spoilt for choice, with beaches such as Sennen and Gwithian (both Blue Flag acclaimed) and Carbis Bay, Porthmeor Beach and Porthcurno, to name a few which are only a short distance from Kenegie.

Located a couple of miles from the Manor is a helicopter port where you can experience a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly. The area abounds with Theme Parks and holiday attractions such as Flambards, The Eden Project, Minack 'open air' Theatre and the National Seal Sanctuary.

The apartment is within walking distance of the local pub and store in Gulval. Sainbury, Tesco & Morrisons Supermarkets are also conveniently close.
