About Rick & Candy Rexer
We operate a small business just outside of Dushore in Sullivan County, called Rexers LLC. We drill water wells, install water systems and provide many services which are nessesary to our rural area
Rick & Candy Rexer purchased this Cabin in 1996
Why Rick & Candy Rexer chose Cherry
The first time I arrived at this property I was hired to drill the water well for previous owners, Walter and Ruth Alonzo. I was struck by the way the cabin situated next to the creek with plenty of space for the family pets and children to play on the hillside and in the water. Years later after Ruth's passing Walter asked me if I might be interested in owning this property, I jumped at the chance to offer this setting for my family to relax and enjoy.

This was a great mini vacation. The location of the cabin and the stream was wonderful and we loved that we could bring our dogs.
Very comfortable cabin!
We always enjoy our stays at this cabin. The water is truly pure and delicious. The mountain air in Sullivan County is marvelous. On the cool mornings, it was especially nice to flip on the gas fireplace for a quick warmup!
I had a lovely weekend getaway! Everything was as advertised. I enjoyed the peace without cell service or internet access, just the break I needed. I loved watching the wildlife along the stream.
Peaceful and Serene!
We loved this cabin! It was so cozy for the two of us and we loved having our morning coffee by the creek each morning. This is a definite for those looking for comfort and privacy!
Charming mountain stream cottage
This is one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in! Everything works! (hot water, gas fireplace, electric lights, etc). And everything you need is there. The cabin is nestled in hemlocks, and sits above a mountain stream. Very peaceful, serene and quiet. You can eat in the dining room overlooking the stream through a large picture window, on a fenced in porch, or on a deck. There are rocks on the shore on which you can plant a folding chair and just enjoy the stream and all its woodland visitors. The area is rich with opportunities to hike, drive to lookouts situated at 2,000 feet, little restaurants, ice cream shops and antique shops. World's End is the best - for example, we would recommend the Double Run Trail. I would also go to Bear Mountain Trading Post for your choice of 22 soft serve ice cream flavors, and you can even combine them. It is so pleasant just to stay in the cabin, or tour the surrounding area. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back soon!
Everything was just as described. It was very clean. The atmosphere outside of the cabin was beautiful. The two flights of steps outside were challenging for my husband & me but we managed. If you're 25 years old you probably wouldn't give it a second thought. It was a really nice mini get away.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review, we truly appreciate your feed back! We wanted to let you know that if you were interested in returning to the area our second cabin " The Evergreen" is located just 1/10th of a mile up stream of the " Little Cedar" and has only three steps up to the porch. It is situated closer to the stream and offers parking at the same level as the cabin. The atmosphere is still relaxing and quiet with out the steps.
With in driving distance of Worlds End State Park, and Ricketts Glenn State Park.
