Our stay at the apartment of Roberto Cacciatori was beyond our expectations. The apartment itself is simply and beautifully decorated, has all the accouterments of home, and is immaculately clean. The location is ideal, within a minute's walk of the charming center of the ancient hill town of San Casciano, and an easy drive or bus ride to Siena and Florence. Parking in a private and secure area is provided with the rent, so that it is possible to explore the beautiful Tuscan and Chianti countryside, then return at the end of the day away from the turmoil of the cities. Most of all, we appreciated the gracious (and complete privacy) offered by the host family. We hope to return to this very setting before too long!

My friend and I spent 10 wonderful days and nights in Roberto's apartment in San Casciano. We could not have dreamed of a better experience. The apartment is lovely, with every convenience, and it is kept immaculately clean by the owners. There is a beautiful garden in the back where we relaxed in the evening, with a glass of the excellent local wine. There are several great restaurants within easy walking distance. If you choose to cook for yourself, there are wonderful delicatessens and produce shops steps from the apartment.
The apartment is also very well situated for sightseeing, and there is no need to have a car. It is a very short walk to the bus stop that takes you to Florence, and from Florence there are buses available to many of the wonderful sites of Tuscany.
Enough cannot be said of the hospitality of Roberto and his family. We were as sad to leave them as to leave the wonderful apartment and village. There is no doubt we will return, and next time for a longer stay.
We stayed at Roberto's place for 5 nights, and found it perfect! On a side street just off the center. Clean and comfortable with everything you need. From here we made day trips to Cinque Terra, Firenze, San Gimignano, Siena, and other Chianti highlights.
The town of San Casciano itself is charming, with lots of great places to eat. Roberto is a gracious and helpful host. Highly recommended.
The apartment is located in the centre of San Casciano and is very cosy, clean and well equiped. But better than this is the extraordinary sympathy of Roberto and his family!
If you want to visit Firenze, Siena and the Chianti region it is the best place you can be! We will surely be back!
We stayed at Borgo 8 for two weeks, and had a wonderful time. The apartment is comfortable and has everything you need. Roberto and Costanza are excellent hosts, friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. They have a reserved car park space in a nearby parking building for the use of their guests. There are many shops, restaurants and bars only metres from the apartment and the Monday morning market in Piazza del Repubblica is not to be missed. There are many books, maps and tourist guides in the apartment, including a bus timetable for the Florence-Sienna bus which we found particularly useful. The apartment is less than 20 km from Florence and the bus costs only 2.60 euros each way. We love San Casciano, and would certainly stay again.
Wonderful Florence suburban apartment had everything needed for our stay / day-trips to Florence and Tuscany countryside. Easy bus ride to downtown and dedicated garage parking space for rental car. Short walk to several good restaurants (recommend Cinque Vino, in particular) & cafes. Fewer tourists in San Casiano if want to be immersed in Italian culture. Roberto was generous to pick us up at the train station, orient us to San Casiano, share his family homestead, answer all our questions and more. Like elsewhere, Vespas are common day and night; being on the first floor, you should sleep well with the bedroom window and wooden blinders closed.
We have just had the most wonderful holiday, staying in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, at the holiday apartment of Roberto and Costanza.
We were thrilled with our accommodation with it being so clean and tidy exactly as the pictures portray. There is everything that you need to make a holiday a success; A comfortable and well equipped home from home to return to at the end of a busy day. The town is perfectly situated to allow easy access to Florence by bus and to other major towns and cities in this beautiful part of the world via the autostrada.
Roberto could not have done more to assist us providing assistance with where to park, where to shop and where to visit. We were overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of our hosts. We arrived as strangers but left feeling that we had made new friends. Thank you so much for your contribution to our wonderful holiday. I can t recommend the booking of this apartment highly
enough, both for comfort and the of the welcome that we received. I look forward to returning in the future, there will be no need to search for anywhere else to stay.
