This substantial detached property offers those of us who are looking for something very special the perfect accommodation in terms of size standards and of course location. Dalcraig House has breathtaking views over Loch Leven and to the Mamore Hills beyond. In terms of comfort and location this house is really unparralled in this area as its the only 5 Star Loch side property in Glencoe. Dalcraig offers all the comforts of the highest standard of a self catering property in Glencoe and lots more. This property is furnished to a very high standard throughout, has Sky Tv and a 60' plasma Tv for those who enjoy a little ! Tv in the evening. Dalcraig House is the only 5 Star ( LOCHSIDE) property in Glencoe!

Within Dalcraig you will find lots of extras not normally seen in self catering properties, it really is a home from home property. With two bed rooms, one twin and one double , both en-suite all on the second floor, a large Sitting room a separate dining room and a beautiful fully fitted Kitchen equipped to the highest of standards all on the ground floor, you will appreciate from the minute the door is opened to this property that quality is of the utmost importance, ensuring our holiday makers have quality accommodation and a truly memorable stay in the Highlands.

Accommodation Details: The Ground Floor of this property offers a Large Sitting Room with breathtaking loch views , the sitting room is furnished to an extremely high standard, with wool carpeting throughout and large Leather sofas and beautiful lighting, the sitting room also has a large feature Marble fireplace. The Sitting Room has as standard a large 60' plasma colour T.V , video and mini-hifi, satellite Tv.

Kitchen Area: The Kitchen is full fitted out with oak units and is complimented with underlighting and spotlighting on the ceiling. In terms of equipment all crockery and kitchen utensils are provided and are of a very high quality. The Kitchen has an electric range cooker, three ovens and is fully fitted out with; micro-wave and combi oven,fridge, freezer, washerdrier , dishwasher, etc we even have a food processor installed for your convenience!

Dining Room: From the moment you arrive a very warm welcome awaits you. The dining area can accommodate five persons in comfort and it is completely separate from the sitting room.

Bedrooms: Excellent views over Loch Leven and to the hills beyond can be seen from the master bedroom and beautiful hill views can bee seen from the twin room. All bed linen and limited towels will be provided for your stay with us at Dalcraig House. Both bed rooms are furnished to a 5 Star STB /high standard and both are en-suite.

Cancellation of any booking with Glencoe Highland Holidays, please note all deposits and all payments received by Glencoe Highland Holidays in respect of any reservation are strictly non refundable, we therefore strongly suggest that you take our cancellation insurance for any unfortunate cancellation which you may have to make, we can if required suggest a very good company to which we have worked closely with from time to time and to which we have found operate in a very professional manner

Please note our advertised prices are for couples only- we add £100 to the reservation if there is more than two persons but this is never done automatically we always request the guest to agree to the additional charge, we may sometimes waive this surcharge especially in peak periods unfortunately in winter we can't offer this waiver as our prices are very low at this time

Notes:
Please note use of the open gas Gasgo fire is restricted to winter periods however in summer there is an Opti myst dimplex fire which is lovely this property is exceptionally warm and fully central heated. In winter there is an addional £65 charge for use of the gas fire as we run off bottles. No charges for use of the Opti myst fire :) Dalcraig House is a 5 Star STB property and is run week on week to a first class standard, we try to ensure that every guest who comes to stay at Dalcraig House enjoys the same 1st class standard therefore we respectively request that only guests who come to stay leave Dalcraig in an immaculate standard, this helps us to ensure if you book this property that you wont be disappointed! please be aware we take a £100 cash refundable good will cleaning and damage deposit at the beginning of your stay, this deposit is retured on your departure day if terms and conditions are adhered to, to date we have never deducted any amount from a cash deposit held.

Gorgeous home in great location

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Dalcraig in early July. The home is truly gorgeous and the pictures online do a good job accurately reflecting the property.

The location is idea for exploring Glencoe - - we hiked both days. Additionally, it is within walking distance to Ballachulish for dinner which was welcome after driving on the curvy, narrow Scottish roads from the right side of the car on the left side of the road :-)

The owners were very responsive and easy to deal with. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience at this beautiful property!

Nice house / ugly weather / local activity possibilities are boring

If the weather is good, lovely urban area.

If not, you should depart as soon as possible. Otherwise, it might to become very boring days in and around Glencoe/Ballaschulish.

Lovely cosy, clean and comfortable cottage

Fantastic stay again in one of Tony and Mairi's cottages. This was the first time in "Dalcraig" cottage and it had everything one needed and more. Fantastic huge TV set in the living room which was just right for wimbledon on a rainy afternoon. The view of Loch Leven and the Pap of Glencoe from the living room window were just breathtaking. We found the cottage to be very comfortable and very clean and would recommend this cottage to anyone. Tony and Mairi always gave us the feeling that they were always available at the end of a telephone in case of any problems which was reassuring. Glencoe is a fantastic area to explore and we will be back!!

Fantastic House, Stunning Location

Such a stunning location and to stay in beautiful Dalcraig house makes it perfect , everything is top quality & furnished to the highest standards. Tony & Mairi are a lovely couple and are hand should you need them and are not obtrusive at all.

This is an excellent base in which to explore the surrounding area and beyond, we visit most years and never tire of this location.

We returned yesterday and are about to book again for next year.

Highland Bliss.

A beautifully appointed property in the perfect location to explore the surrounding area. It is rare you get to enjoy a property of such a high standard that also allows pets.

Ballachulish is only a short stroll away (15 minutes) with a Co-op that has long opening hours, a well stocked tourist information centre and The Laroch restaurant and bar which has glowing reviews online. There are several short walks you can do from the door as well as it being easy to reach areas further afield - we took the time to visit Oban, Glenfinnan, Kilchurn Castle and Fort William to name but a few.

We can't recommend Dalcraig highly enough :).

A perfect home in the Highlands

Dear Mairi and Tony,

We would like to thank you for an excellent stay at your property in sunny Scotland.

Yes the weather was outstanding blue skies from the start! Dalgraig house made the picture complete. What an outstanding property with all the comfort and equipment which made our stay just perfect. The kitchen, bedrooms, bedrooms all in perfect shape, and well decorated.

The location at Loch Leven is picturesque, watching the sunset every evening was just stunning. From our location we made day trips every day from hiking the Pap of Glencoe and the Lost Valley. Will we return that's not a question our boys said, we will return definitive. Once again many thanks for the outstanding stay!

Glencoe ! need we say more, one of the most historic places in Scotland steeped in history, a beautiful location with every facility required for you to enjoy your stay , Glencoe has Horse riding, sking, Munro bagging , white water rafting, boats trips, walking, sailing and quad biking, they are few activities amoungst a massive amount of things to do in the Outdoor capital of the UK. Sking , Golfing or just touring around this beautiful rugged glen whilst enjoying fabulous resturants come and visit us here at Glencoe for a fabulous luxury stay as this beautiful 5 Star loch side holiday house, the only 5 Star lochside in Glencoe.

Golf: The area has some beautiful golf courses. There is a spectacular 9 Hole golf course, with views right across the Lochs less than 2 miles away at Ballachulish. There are also 18 hold golf courses at Fort William and Oban.

Ski: The area has excellent skiing in winter. The Glencoe Ski Centre is just 12 miles away, while the town of Fort William, Britain’s highest mountain ‘Ben Nevis’ and the Nevis Ski Centre (dry slope in summer) are just 14 miles to the north. Ski and Snowboard equipment is available to hire at both of these centres. Lessons are also available at both Ski centers!
