It is a spacious home with lots of room to relax. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the main floor and 1 bedroom upstairs. It has a nice sitting area in front of the gas fireplace. There is a beautiful park and playground for the kids along with a splash park. St. Robert has a large city pool. Canoe, kayak and rafting float trips are a fun way to spend a day on the river locally. Devil's Elbow is a must see scenic drive on Route 66. My family moved to Waynesville when I was a small child and I graduated here. I grew up as a high school principals daughter so I knew many people in the school system which was a large part of our small town. After graduation I relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks where I owned and operated a retail nursery, greenhouse, florist and landscaping business. I then moved to Columbia, Missouri for a few years where I got my start in real estate as a leasing agent at a large property management company. In 2001 I returned home to Waynesville and purchased a fitness center where I enjoyed helping people to become healthy. In the meantime, I purchased the rental property and now just own and manage rentals full time. I have years of experience in the business.
Brenda Lewis purchased this house in 2003
I purchased this property in 2003 and has been a long term rental but decided to furnish it in May, 2015 and make it a family vacation home mainly due to families needing a place that they can be together when coming to Ft. Leonard Wood for graduations. Also, people who travel across the states on Historic Route 66 enjoy staying in places along the route.
This property is conveniently located to town but has the laid back country feel. It's so relaxing to sit on the front porch and watch the wildlife.
Eight members of our men's softball team stayed here for the weekend while playing in a tournament in nearby Lebanon, Missouri. The accommodations were comfortable and roomy. Brenda was very helpful and made us feel at home. We would definitely stay again the next time we're playing in the area.
We came into town for my son's Basic Training Graduation and wanted someplace convenient to the base. This house was great for that. Brenda was there to meet us and answered any questions we had. The house was clean and very close to the base.. It could use a second shower but wasn't that big of a deal. About 20 minutes to where my son's family day and graduation was. Thanks for the stay as it was a fun week.. Try the rt. 66 diner in St Paul for breakfast..
We stayed at the Historic Route 66 Family Vacation Home near Fort Leonard Wood. Our son was graduating from basic training at Fort Leonard wood and we wanted to all stay together. This home worked so well for all of us. We had 7 family members that stayed here and it was perfect. The house was clean, had everything that we needed, and Brenda was very helpful.Everyone had their privacy, if they wanted it, or we could all be together in the kitchen/ living room area. After graduation our son was able to come back to the house with us and we had a cookout. It was relaxing for all of us. The fact that it was so close was just so convenient! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in that area. We had a wonderful time. A time that we will cherish!
Great place to stay and bring your all family. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has all the necessary utensil. Very quiet . Very clean easy location to the base. Loved it
