About Susan & Steve Woodruff

Retired couple from Royal Oak, MI.

Susan & Steve Woodruff purchased this condo in 2011

Why Susan & Steve Woodruff chose Sleeping Bear Dunes

So much is close by - golf course in your backyard, hikes through the woods or on the beach, a stroll around a nearby town to poke in galleries or grab a freshly baked pie, running through Sleeping Bear sand dunes, wine tasting at a local vineyard, fresh corn from the local farm stand or a swim in Lake Michigan rock collecting. The variety of colors is amazing. The jackpot are the Petoskey stones which are petrified coral and used in jewelry. Perfect for anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing getaway!

Beautifully furnished studio condo with fantastic views of Sugarloaf Golf Course in a quiet setting!

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fully furnished, cozy studio condo located on the Old Couse at Sugarloaf Mountain. Great views of the valley and the challenging 17th hole of the golf course from the second story deck. Great spot to drink coffee in the morning or sip your favorite adult beverage in the afternoon watching the golfers struggle to ascend to the elevated green. Very peaceful and quiet setting only a few short steps from the golf course pro shop, practice green and driving range. The owner, Susan, was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions and was flexible with both the arrival and departure times. Very comfortable King Bed and the condo was fully furnished so there was absolutely nothing we needed to purchase except our food. Will definitely be back!

Accomodations above expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We felt lucky to find such accomodations in the Traverse City area. The Leelenau Peninsula turned out to be a beautiful place to enjoy while being only 20+miles from Traverse City. We enjoyed the views from the condo, the golf, the visits to Lake Michigan and the area communities. The condo had everything you could ever need and included all kinds of ideas of things to do and places to eat in the area. We would highly recommend this studio condo to anyone.

Great Studio for Two and Gorgeous View of Golf Course including Surrounding Rolling Hills and Forest

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent one week at the Condo and were delighted with the clean well appointed quality furnishings. We enjoyed relaxing mornings and evenings with peace and quiet. We were able to easily explore most of the surrounding communities during the day because of it's central location in the Leelenau Peninsula. All of the communities we visited had unique breakfast and dinner restaurants that we took advantage of. Steve and Susan were great hosts. We strongly recommend this condo "upnorth" where the lakes have "No Salt", "No Sharks" and "No Worries!

Gracious hosts, lovely condo, gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed my week's stay in this very clean, quiet, well-appointed studio condo. Everything was as described - or even better! The owners met me when I arrived, showed me around, and answered my questions.

The condo is at the base of Sugar Loaf Mountain surrounded by Old Sugar Loaf golf course with its rolling hills and forest. The second floor balcony looks out onto the 17th green and offered an interesting observation point to watch golfers as they tackled a tricky ridge on one side of the hole.

Being centrally located in the Leelenau Peninsula, it was very easy to explore the beaches, trails, wineries, and towns - all of which have their own character and special offerings.

All in all, I was able to relax in comfort and peace and quiet. Just what I needed. I highly recommend this property!
