Beautiful Place and Beautify Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Barbara for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Log Home. Very Clean and fully stocked. Have stayed at many VROB and this was by far, the better of all. Enjoyed the fireplace and our beautiful country in the Mountains. Will look forward to visiting again. Thanks again, Philip and Roxanne Beaudry

Very Clean and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was extremely clean and well maintained. We found it to be exactly as described online. Pictures and description were both accurate and realistic. It isn't completely secluded as there are a few other cabins close by but we didn't actually see any other guests and the property still had a very private feeling. The cabin is very well stocked. The beds are comfortable , showers work well and we had no complaints whatsoever. Would recommend and would revisit.

Tennessee Leaves

My husband, 3yr old & parents all stayed in this cabin. The cabin looks very nice inside & out. Outside there are aprox. 15 steps to the porch. The only way in & out. The deck is very nice. There are rockers, a sweetheart swing, a gas grill & a table with chairs. The inside is well decorated and very homey feeling. I think if the kitchen and bathroom floors were replaced it would make the cabin look a lot nicer. The fireplace was an added bonus & the popcorn machine. There are a few throw blankets in the living room which are great for snuggling. We had no problem bringing our almost 4-year-old as there is a gate latch on the gate door. And inside both bedrooms kitchen and living area are all on one floor.

There is a game and movie cabinet which is awesome and and one of the bedroom closets there are some tubs of toys. The downfalls to the cabin are the beds. It is a very thick foam pad on top of the mattresses which when you lay on it it makes you feel like you're laying in a hole. I do not like foam top mattresses but my husband had no problem sleeping on it the downfall was that we could not sleep together the three days that we rented this cabin. Also the headboards to the beds are not attached to the beds. We ran out of toilet paper on the second day and had to purchase more. Housekeeping did not sweep any of the floors as the floors were dusty and dirty. The toilets either were stained or they were not cleaned well. There is no yard for the kids to plan but there is a park within driving distance. The lake is pretty dried up as it is fall into winter which looks kind of crazy but I'm sure during the summer the lake is full. We did not get to meet the owner however I did text message her to get recommendations for dinner place is our first night and she was very prompt in getting back to us. Overall we enjoyed our time at this cabin and would rent it again. I Probably would just bring my own blowup mattress& soft pillows!!!!!! It was a very relaxing stay!!!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm glad we were able to extend your stay for your family. We do plan on upgrading the kitchen and bathroom flooring this winter. There is hard water in the area and it does create a build up on plumbing fixtures. We do try to supply everyone with starter paper products and soaps, sometimes it may not be enough. It's nice to hear feedback so we can make improvements.

Pure serenity

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful inside and out! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (except a corkscrew). I stayed here with my parents. My mom and I spent a lot of our time on the huge wrap around porch. The area is so peaceful and quiet. The lake and mountain views as we rode around the neighborhood were absolutely beautiful. My favorite view was from the deck, where we'd watch the sunset in the evenings. Even though the sun was hot, the humidity in the area is very low, making sitting outside during the day much more pleasant than back at home in Louisiana. Overall, we had a wonderfully relaxing vacation and would not hesitate to return to Ms. Barbara's cabin in the future.

Property was really nice.

I really enjoyed my stay. We had previously stayed someplace that had Dish so Direct TV was a must. The movie channels were a nice surprise. My daughter loved the popcorn machine and movies.
