4 th floor with elevator, no AC but with fans it was no problem at the end of August. Thoughtful and gracious owner!
The unit was very spacious, clean and comfortable. On the fourth floor with a great view of the ocean. Bedrooms very large. There was an elevator.
We liked the fact that we were walking distance to Sorrento city center, less than 10 minutes, and 5 minute walk to train station and bus stop, both at same location.
We took the train to Pompeii, which was quite easy. The ferry to Capri is also walking distance, approx. 20 minutes.
There are great restaurants in Sorrento city center, and lots of shopping.
Another plus is the free parking in the rear behind a locked sliding gate.
The kitchen was adequately supplied with plates, glasses, pots and pans, and silverware. There were several espresso and regular coffee makers, but there was no coffee. There were no napkins or paper towels. Those are minor things, but would have been nice. Most places supply those types of things.
We had a great time there, and would definitely stay there again.
The apartment is beautiful, with modern appliances; everything was clean and seemed fairly new. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and cooking staples. The gas tank under the stove did run out one morning while we were cooking breakfast, which meant that we couldn't do anything until someone came to replace it and threw a wrench in our plans for the day--but our contact did send someone out right away, which was pretty impressive for Easter Sunday. It's also very close to the train station, which is handy if you're taking the train in from Naples or want to take day trips to Pompeii, Vesuvius, and Herculaneum. Overall our experience there was very good and I'd happily rent the apartment again.
