  • 4 of 5

The cabin was excellent a little small for 8 people but it works only complaint was that there was no propane in the grill it was very close to the village which was nice but if you are looking to be all alone this was not the place other cabins were just a few yards away but a really great time i would do it again..thanks

Cute Cabin!!!

  • 5 of 5

Communication with owners was easy, they responded quickly.

The cabin was as pictured, but the pics almost don't do it justice! The cabin had beautiful decorations throughout every room! The open floor plan made the cabin comfy and homey. It was interesting renting a one-story this time. Each room had room heaters which would be great for wintertime and as we were here in July, didn't make use of the pot bellied stove. The back door in the main bedroom was nice as it allowed a nice cross breeze.

The cabin was stocked with very basic basics. A previous review complained about only salt and pepper, but when we were there the problem was remedied with no less than about 15 bottles of spices in the drawer! I'm used to renting cabins where former guests have left a variety of things for use (spices, condiments in the fridge {even found a huge jar of pickles!}, coffee, sugar, sweatener, creamer, boxes of bakery items to make {cake, brownies}, bottles of shampoo or conditioner, dish soap {literally there were 2 drops in the dish soap left}, cleaning supplies, etc. - any variety of things you can think of that you bring with you and don't bother packing to go home with). This was not the case as the cabin was very minimally stocked. I did not have a huge expectation that the variety of items listed would be there, but I guess I did have an expectation of 'something' more left around based on previous experiences renting cabins in the area. I wasn't, as other reviews complained, expecting toiletries like in a hotel. It was just a totally different experience from several other cabins we've rented in the Duck Creek area - which is where that slight expectation may have come from. There was a huge bottle of body wash. There was a new sponge, but a second one would have been nice (dishes vs. sink scrubbing).

BEWARE: in the small print the owners do acknowledge they provide ONLY 2 rolls of toilet paper! I missed this and it posed a bit of a problem! Between a touch of food poisoning hitting shortly after arrival and by the time we realized that was the ONLY 2 ROLLS, it was already evening hours where the local stores were already closed (not to mention the cost of things up there either!)!!!

We did utilize the hammock, but did not end up having the time to set up the fire pit and enjoy it and the smore's fixings we did bring.

We would definitely rent this cabin again, but would be better supplied coming up!

The chipmunks were AWESOME!!!
