Home from home

This is our fifth visit here which, I suggest, speaks for itself.

We always come the week with Good Friday in so the weather is variable but there is always plenty to see and do. If the weather is inclement then the bungalow is a pleasant place to chill.

The addition of WiFi this year is an added bonus to those with iPad wielding teens.

Smart holiday cottage with everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

Super start to our week's stay at Inny Glade, finding a cream tea waiting for us in the fridge! Everything was modern, tasteful and smart, immaculately clean and in working order. We enjoyed the patio, watching the stream go by, and the children especially took full advantage of the tennis court.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. It is good that you enjoyed the stream side setting of the bungalow in this relatively unknown part of rural, quiet Cornwall, but still within easy distance of the coast. Thank you.

Some where to stay in Cornwall? Look no further

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Inny Glade over Christmas & New Year 2009 and throughly enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and well equipped from the dishwasher to the collection of DVD's & the tennis courts greatly appreciated by the children as was the freeview TV.

My partner has limited mobility but found the layout of the bungalow easy to negotiate. The property was warm, clean & inviting after our long drive and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The owner had ensured that the fridge, freezer & the heating were all on so there was no time wasted waiting for things to warm up or cool down.

We were suprised at how central we were for so many beauty spots. Bodmin Moor & RAF Davidstowe, Bude, Port Issacs, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstowe and a few more places, you name it we visited it. The local church and the Holy Well are worth a visit, It may have been December but the views at all these places were breath taking.

The local shops in Camelford were stocked with essentials but if you needed more there are supermarkets Asda, Tesco, Lidls and a few more in Bodmin & Wadebridge.

We enjoyed our festive break so much we have booked again for this year. We recommend this holiday bungalow to anyone looking for a good base from which to explore the beauty of Cornwall.

We would like to thank the owner, Gillian Westead & Tracy (house keeper) for all their hard work in ensuring the property was so clean & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them

Thank you

Ron & Gillian

Cornwall's big attraction - The Eden Project -less than a hour's drive. Inny Glade offers the perfect 'get away from it all' base from which to explore the County. The local coastline is particulary beautiful with Newquay, Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Bude all within easy reach. Inny Glade benefits from the vast Bodmin Moor on its doorstep. A wide open moorland with numerous rocky peaks or 'Tors', perfect for walking or riding.

The Moor's nearby Crowdy Reservoir is popular for its trout fishing. Other activities catered for locally include, Horse Riding Stables with indoor and outdoor arenas, numerous Golf Courses with leisure facilities, Adventure Parks for children, local Vineyard at Camel Valley etc. For the more adventurous try microlight flying at the Moorland Flying Club, just a mile or so away at Davidstow Airfield, a disused wartime airfield, with it's own museum. Well worth a visit.
