Warm, cosy and very clean holiday bungalow.
We stayed at Inny Glade in the week surrounding Easter Weekend. For the first half of the week the weather was awful so it was wonderful to have such a delightful and warm bungalow to come home to in the evening. When we arrived the place was already warm and thoughtfully there was a pint of milk in the refrigerator and some welcoming chocolate on the table. The bungalow was very clean which meant we settled in immediately. Four of us stayed, two adults and two teenage boys but we were not cramped and when the boys had energy to burn they were able to do so on the tennis court located on the site. The weather was not kind enough to allow us to sit on the back patio but in better weather this would definitely have been an added bonus listening to the river babbling by. We spent most of our time surfing at Widemouth Bay and although about a 20 minute journey the road was very good with no traffic problems. Plenty of local information was provided including every means of communication to the owners should it have been needed but it wasn’t. I would definitely return to this property.
Quiet family break in a homely delightful property
Great communications throughout. Inny Glade has a lovely homely feel. We're a family of four - we all loved the place. Contains everything needed, nice quiet location yet close for attractions, coast, etc. Unreservedly recommended. No hesitation in booking again. Tennis court close by and beautiful stream. Parking easy. What more can we say! Ten out of ten.
Home from Home, all you could want for a relaxing stay.
We enjoyed a weeks break at this lovely cottage, it was like moving into your own home, we would consider doing all again. One to remember.
Lovely little bungalow by the steam. Wish we could pick it up and bring home with us.
The property was well equipped with everything that you could need, and accommodated the 5 of us.
We had a great week staying in Cornwall. We travelled all over the county, and even went into Devon one of the days. It was lovely to have a peaceful and comfortable place to come back to after our travels.
Excellent Cottage in a great location
We loved this cottage and its location. A great base to explore the many areas of Cornwall. A lovely touch on our arrival was the delicious fudge and cookies left out for us, well received after our journey. The owner has equipped the cottage with everything you can possibly need and the tennis court was a nice area to have very close by. The cottage was immaculate on our arrival and is so peaceful. Sadly we didn't have great weather and were unable to take advantage of the BBQ or to spend time sitting out on the patio listening to the small river that runs at the back of the cottage. The fish and chip shop in Camelford (Peck'ish) was fantastic and some of the best fish i have ever had. Also a few miles away is the Rebel cinema, great for any not so great weather days. It's a great little cinema with an amazing sound system and very good value. Thanks to Stuart, the Inny Glade owner for everything and for making the visit both easy and enjoyable. We will certainly be back
Nearest beaches, Trebarwith Strand, Tintagel approx 7 miles away, 20 minute drive.
Cornwall's big attraction - The Eden Project -less than a hour's drive. Inny Glade offers the perfect 'get away from it all' base from which to explore the County. The local coastline is particulary beautiful with Newquay, Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Bude all within easy reach. Inny Glade benefits from the vast Bodmin Moor on its doorstep. A wide open moorland with numerous rocky peaks or 'Tors', perfect for walking or riding.
The Moor's nearby Crowdy Reservoir is popular for its trout fishing. Other activities catered for locally include, Horse Riding Stables with indoor and outdoor arenas, numerous Golf Courses with leisure facilities, Adventure Parks for children, local Vineyard at Camel Valley etc. For the more adventurous try microlight flying at the Moorland Flying Club, just a mile or so away at Davidstow Airfield, a disused wartime airfield, with it's own museum. Well worth a visit.
