2 bedroom, 2 bath City Centre apartment

Luxurious city living in this 2 bedroom contemporary holiday apartment in a converted Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse, minutes away from all the attractions within the City Centre. Midweek and weekend breaks welcome, 2 night weekend breaks always available, please message to book. One night stays accepted late availability, always worth asking.

We have 3 apartments in total available within the building, so if your exact dates aren't available please contact us as we may be able to accommodate you in one of our other apartments.

Parking is available on site, subject to availability, so if you would like to travel by car please contact us to reserve a space. There is an extra charge of £10 per night for parking. The apartment is a short walk from the train station, so is very convenient for rail passengers.

The benefits of a boutique hotel with the added advantage of your own independence with self catering facilities, or if you prefer to eat out, York's full range of restaurants within a 5 minute walk, or if you don't want to stagger too far, a Thai, an Italian, 2 Indians, a bistro pub & an excellent cafe for brunch, or post shopping pick me up, within a 2 minute walk.

The luxury self catering holiday apartment is furnished to an extremely high standard, with full kitchen facilities, should you choose to eat in.

York is the perfect destination for a UK holiday with the family, friends, or for a romantic break.

Lots of fun things for the children to do, shopping for the adults, and in the evenings - restaurants to cater for every choice, all within a short walk. An enjoyable break guaranteed whatever the weather. Perfect for a getaway with your partner, or to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.

Although in the centre of things, the apartment is tucked away in a quiet street, ensuring long lazy lie-ins and no disturbance from the early morning/late evening sounds of inner city living.

Apartment 9 is on the 3rd floor, as this is an old Georgian building the lift is not able to reach the top floor, so there are 3 small sets of stairs to climb to reach the apartment

Accommodation comprises of entrance hall, lounge/diner with 2 comfortable sofas, one a sofa bed, 42' plasma screen TV, free to view satellite channels, DVD. Fitted oak kitchen with black granite worktops equipped with everything you would have in your own home. Two fully tiled bathrooms, a shower room and the ensuite has a bath with shower over.

The master suite comprises of a king size bed, ample storage with a second twin room and a further sleeping annexe that has a single bed which can extend to a double.

The apartment is ideally situated just off the famous street of Micklegate, within the Walls of the Historic City of York.

Minutes away from all the amenities and attractions of the ancient City of York. On your doorstep you will find Indian, Thai and Italian restaurants, as well as a fish and chip shop and a handful of pubs, yet we're tucked away in a quiet residential area, no late night or early morning noise, ensuring long lazy lie-ins.

Both rail and coach links are well within easy walking distance. Secure off street private parking for one car available on site. Two bedrooms, master with en-suite and uninterrupted views of the City Walls of York.

Property is as listed - clean, well appointed, well maintained, and a great location

Being born in York many years ago, we needed a base to show off York and the surrounding areas to our friends from Cape Town. This was an ideal location. There was no need to use the car to see the city sites.

Property was well appointed, with all requirements thought about, and the secure off street parking was a great bonus.

The only negative comment would be, beware the second bedroom is rather small with bunk beds. But the main bedroom is good, and our friends found the sofa-bed very comfortable.

Well Located Lovely Property

Three generations stayed here for a weekend. The flat was well located, very clean and tidy and fully equipped. The bathroom and kitchen were of a high spec. Very comfortable en suite. Owner very accommodating and helpful.

Ideal for Exploring the City

This is a lovely apartment set inside a period house about 150 yards from Micklegate, it was perfect for us a family with 2 children. The fixtures and fittings are all done to a high standard and there is suffcient space to relax properly.

Once we had parked in the allotted space we didn't use the car again until we had to leave, everywhere was within easy walking distance even for our 7 year old!

There are a couple of handy supermarkets within 5 mins walking one into town the other on the way out.

We have recommended this place to anyone who has asked, when compared to the cost of 2 hotels rooms (for us) and parking this place offered good value and a much more relaxed and comfortable stay.

The property is as it is decribed, the owner was helpful and quick to respond, arrival time was flexible and easy to sort out, the property is clean and bright.

We would definately look to book again if we return to York

Great base for exploring York

We had a very enjoyable couple of days exploring York over the New Year and would happily return to this apartment. Situated in a quiet side street, it is within easy walking distance of the centre of York with all its attractions. We found it to be clean, comfortable and well maintained, with everything that we needed for our short stay. Many thanks to Keren for her hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is situated in the Heart of York, close to river trips, museums, shops, restaurants, bars, local public transport, art gallery and theaters.

Visit the world famous Jorvik Viking Center or the award winning National Railway Museum - a must for visitors with children - walk around the Bar Walls, climb Clifford's Tower enjoy ice creams by the river.

A short journey away by car or bus, are the numerous attractions of North Yorkshire including the East Coast towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. The Yorkshire Moors and the Dales - all very enjoyable day trips from your base in York.

For the more adventurous take a Ghost Walk and find out the not so nice, ghoulish history of the city.

If you fancy a day at the races, coincide your visit with one of the race meetings throughout the summer. Contact me for more details.
