Nicely appointed knotty pine interior has two bedrooms, large living room complete with wood stove for those cool "up north" evenings. Granite counters atop maple cabinets, full bath, large dining room table, central air. One level living with the exception of 5 steps in. Large yard, fire pit, easy walking trail to the lake and dock. Paddle boat, 14' fishing boat for use. Each bedroom sleeps two, futon in the living room for two more, (could even bring the tent for the kids outside!)
I did leave a note on some things that I thought should be discarded but will state it here also. The kitchen could have been cleaner and dishes and utencils and pots and some baking sheets were in poor condition. Also some" kitchen appliances" were in cabinets very old and could be a fire hazard. Some over the counter Meds were in bathroom drawers outdated and should not be left for other renters. Lawn wasn't mowed before we arrived. Nice that extra bedding is left in closets but were not folded and on shelves just stuffed in closets so didn't use them.Otherwise we enjoyed our stay .Thank you
We were looking for a secluded cabin and this was it...without being secluded. It's location on the lot gave us the seclusion we were looking for without the isolation. The cabin (still in progress of being completed on lower and upper levels) had plenty of space and comfort. Unfortunately, August in MN means the lakes aren't great for swimming but the views are still wonderful! Plenty to do and enjoy in the area. We had a great time!
Nice clean cabin on a quiet, private lot with a view of the lake. Plenty of space with the 2 bedrooms and futon in living area. We went in August so lake was not really swimmable (dog days of summer) and couldn't fish from dock due to weed line, but did catch fish without a fish/depth finder in various spots on the lake. Boat and motor and paddle boat worked well (first time I've ever hooked up a gas tank, ran a motor, etc. and was able to figure it out easily). A great spot for our girls weekend. Only note is if you plan on doing a lot of cooking, you'll want to pack your own spices and any specialty utensils / cookware. Shower water is extremely hard so pack conditioner and lotion. Overall a nice, secluded place that's close to town and other lakes.
Six women fit comfortably in this beautiful home for a weekend away from the city. We were thrilled with how well the owner described all the amenities and the easy access to Emily, MN for shopping when we realized we'd forgotten things. With Crosslake Zorbaz only 8 miles away, this cabin offered the seclusion of a small town with access to typical "bigger city" things. While the lake isn't much for swimming (it's a bit murky and kind of smelly on a super hot day) the owner can't be faulted for that - the property is wonderful, the cabin clean and comfortable, and the value unbeatable.
The cabin was well maintained and nicely supplied with everything we needed. It also has great access to the lake. My only recommendation would to have the outside cleaned up some. Lots of weeds/plants growing up through the stairs on the deck. The view of the lake would be great if a few trees were trimmed back. Overall a great place!
Located in the heart of the "lakes region" of northern Minnesota. Within 30 miles of more lakes than you can shake a stick at, Whitefish, Gull, etc. Mountain biking, trails, xc skiing trails, Lake Emily(public access for launching your boat if you bring it) is connected to Lake Mary expanding your boating experience.
