About richard schultz or Nazha Schultz

My wife Nazha and I moved here 23 years ago thinking this would be a great place to spend a little time. Well, we never left. When we decided to raise a family we couldn't think of a better place for them to grow up. I'm a transplanted New Yorker and my wife was born in Morocco. We met while working in the hospitality business in New Jersey. We married shortly before we arrived in Big Sky and this is the only town we have lived in. We have two sons, Rachid just turned 18 and will be going off to school in Seattle in September. Yasin is 16 and will be starting his junior year at lone peak high school next fall. I guess we have almost come full circle here. We will be empty nesters soon.I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not.

richard schultz or Nazha Schultz purchased this apartment in 2001

Why richard schultz or Nazha Schultz chose Gallatin Gateway

We bought this property mainly for the spectacular views we get from every room. It didn't hurt that the property came with a second building that had a rental apartment already to go. This was a big factor as being first time home owners. The additional rental income helped out during those early years. Of course it didn't hurt living in a nice quite neighborhood were kids could play without any worries and being able to watch the boys walk home from school was an added bonus.

What makes this apartment unique

One of the biggest benefits of living in this home and in Big Sky in general is the fact that when we come back home from vacation it feels like we are starting a new one. Another big plus is having yellowstone park just down the road. How can you beat having that just over your fence line a bit. To top it off we have an never ending parade of family and friends who come and visit. I guess that's a good thing

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

I travel a lot, and always rent apartments/houses, and this one really stood out! It was incredibly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything that I could need (even hand cream in both bathrooms!). I loved the location, and the views are amazing. I can't wait to return

Big Sky, MT

  • 5 of 5

We only were able to stay two nights, however, the accommodations were excellent and the hosts were very helpful. Great location with plenty of nearby good restaurants in Big Sky and not far from the West Yellowstone entrance. Great views!

Great location to relax!

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable apartment. Kitchen has a great assortment of many items needed to prepare meals. Hot tub was popular after a day filled with hiking. Nice to have a full-size washer and dryer. We will definitely consider coming back if we are able to visit Montana again.

Portal to Paradise

  • 5 of 5

I rented the condo for my three boys (ages 14, 12, 8) and I to use while we visited Yellowstone. We had a great time. My teenager (yes teenager) notes how nice the condo looked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Note there are coffee filters provided and some sugar. The beds were very comfortable. I used the guest bedroom and couldn't believe how comfortable I found the bed. Bathrooms worked well. Plenty of high quality towels. The family room fit all of us. The pull out sofa was easy and comfortable for my youngest to sleep in. The laundery facilities in the condo are better than what I have at home. We also loved the hot tub.

The view is incredible. There are no words. In June we saw snow topped mountains and the raging Gallatin river all from inside. Plenty of area to fly fish. As I was told "no one owns the rivers in Montana." It takes about an hour drive to Yellowstone or 45 minutes into Bozeman.

We loved and you will too.

Car: recommended

Our property is in Big sky Montana, which is located halfway between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park. We are only 45 minutes from the west gate in West Yellowstone, then a short scenic drive to Old Faithful We are situated in a quiet family friendly neighborhood but a short drive to all the attractions the area has to offer.

Big Sky is home to many winter and summer activities

In winter we have every type of activities you can think of, from skiing to dog sled trips and everything in between.

Summer is no less spectacular. You can enjoy a great many hiking options to world class fly fishing. Whitewater rafting to float trips. Last but not least is Yellowstone National Park. I don't have the words to describe what a national treasure the park is. We have lived here for 23 years and every time we visit we find something new and exciting. You won't believe the wild life. From Buffalo to wolves to elk herds as far as the eye can see.

If you want to come to a place were you can forget about the rest of the world and spend some quality time with friends and family, this is the place. As I said earlier we came here 23 years ago and planned to stay only one season. We just couldn't leave. This is truly the "Last Best Place"

Additionally throughout the summers there is a weekly concert series provided for free to the public. More information is available about the incoming acts on the following website. http://www.bigskyarts.org/event.php
