Come and relax at my affordable rustic cottage and leave the hustle behind. I have a cabin with 3 bedrooms. Located in the wooded countryside, but only 15 minutes from downtown Wisconsin Dells, 15 minutes from Castle Rock and several other boat launches and fishing spots. At the end of your day’s adventure, come on back and unwind with a campfire, take a walk by the pond, a dip in the pool or try your luck in the game room! We do not have washers and dryers on the premises, so we ask you to bring bed linens and towels.

Location was amazing but beware
I'll try to keep this short but I have a lot of thoughts on this rental:
Pros: Doug the property manager was INCREDIBLE! He truly went above and beyond. He provided us with a massive wheelbarrow load of wood for the fire. He drew a map to some hiking trails and answered all of our questions. The location is great, it's quiet and in the country, my dog could run around. The Dells were a short drive away, as were hiking trails around Quincy Bluffs. We saw deer and turkeys while sitting outside. Truly a beautiful location.
Cons: Whew, first let me say- do NOT stay here once it starts getting chilly. There is NO heat what so ever. It was FREEZING in the cabin at night. We were extremely disappointed by this as this information was not disclosed in the ad. I contacted the owner about this issue and he never responded to me. Also, be prepared to supply everything from sheets, pillows, blankets, dish soap, sponges, toilet paper, paper towels, pots, pans, and extra dishes/utensils if you have more than 4 people. The dishes were dirty when we arrived, which is quite disgusting. We made sure to wash everything before using it. Check the doors as well, the back door was unlocked when we arrived.
The location was great and I'm sure it would be okay for a summer getaway but bring everything you think you may need.
The sliding glass door was my family's biggest gripe the entire weekend. It doesn't slide on the tracks hardly at all, and was a large nuisance. With 5 people, we were in and out frequently, and that had us cussing a lot at the door. Also, the curtain rod above the sliding door is taped together and often sagged in front of the door. The cabin is old, yet clean. The amount of space for two couples and a teenager was perfect (two separate bedrooms with double beds in each, and a loft with another double bed). Again, the trailer is old so things like the toilet didn't flush well. The shower was good, and hot water was plentiful for 5 people to shower. Furniture in the living room was clean and comfortable. The TV was useless (blue screen), and there is ZERO WIFI. There was a microwave and coffee maker provided. Full size refrigerator was good to have. Window air conditioner unit, in the living room only, was about 50 years old but cooled the main room sufficiently. This trailer is located in a deserted, run-down, campground. It is facing the highway (minimal traffic to worry about though) The pool (behind this trailer a bit), while very nice and clean and useable, is surrounded by abandoned and VERY run down trailers. The game room was next door. We enjoyed the pool table and foosball games inside. Nothing else was operational in the room.
Host was quick to respond to all emails and questions.
Pros: Secluded, quiet, spacious, & cheap. Nice pool.
Cons: REPLACE THE DOOR!! Take the WIFI out of the description- we were very disappointed. Replace the toilet.
Quiet getaway and you get what you pay for.
Nice that we had a pool to ourselves and not crowded like the dells would have been. Host was very friendly and helped out when needed.
No frills, but everything you need
We rented this cabin to be near the Dells, in a place that we could bring our dog. It is a trailer--it isn't spacious, but the property management is conscientious, with a manager on-site. It was clean. We were there for less than 48 hours and in the Dells (about a 25 minute drive) most of the time we were there. I think it would be pretty crowded with 8, since it says it sleeps 8, but it was perfectly fine for the two adults, two children and one dog we had. The kids loved the loft area. You need to bring your own linens, which the property owner notified me of when he confirmed. It's a perfectly fine place to lay your head.
Not as advertised, poor communication, overbooked, trailer park.
My wife and I booked a 3br cabin, one we though was similar to the one in the photo. Made payment plenty ahead of our stay. After driving all the way to the town of the property we had not received access instructions. Messaged the owner, he immediately called us saying that he overbooked. Of course he blamed it on VRBO and said he could downgrade us to a 1br and refund part of the cost. Sight unseen we agreed (we were several hours from home so what choice did we have). Got onto the property and noticed immediately that this was not as described. We were literally in a "campground" that was basically a trailer park with all run down trailers and a pool. Now Im not against a trailer but come on...this is not what we signed up for. The lock to the "cabin" that he moved us to was a padlock run through the frame of the door in which he drilled a hole into and slipped the lock through...the lock didnt even work and there was no way to lock the door from the inside. Go inside and it is very run down, nothing supplied for us, no bedding, half a roll of toilet paper, no microwave, toaster, pots and pans, none of that. I wasnt trying to go camping or I would have just brought a tent! If I were coming up for a guys weekend, possibly could have dealt with this. My PREGNANT wife and I were coming up on a "babymoon" getaway to relax and get away from the city but this place was unacceptable! We called the VRBO complaint hotline and they took care of everything. Put us up in Mt. Olympus hotel where we got free passes to the water park. Now this was by far the better option then the so called "cabin", it wasnt what we had in mind. We wanted to relax by a fire, cook on the grill, and just spend quality time together. Instead we walked the strip of Wis Dells and went out to eat for every meal. Still had a great time but was definitely not as friendly on the wallet. All in all I would highly recommend VRBO but I would not recommend this "cabin" getaway to anyone!! Maybe it would have been better had we been in the cabin we originally rented which appears to be much nicer. I wish I could upload pictures to this review because we took plenty just in case we would be able to show everyone what they were getting themselves into. I do not think I would have swam in the pool and I definitely would not have let my pregnant wife haha. We were not on the property long enough to try and find the "game room" but Im sure that was over rated as well.
Nice and quiet. My family from Milwaukee who I haven't seen in years came up. It was awesome.
