Nice flat, wonderful location

  • 4 of 5

This was a wonderful flat for our stay. It was a quick 10 minute walk through the Greenwich Park to the center of town, with lots of shops and restaurants. We got on the DLR to get into central London for sightseeing. We were there for our daughters graduation from Goldsmith College and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Just a side note, if you have any physical issues, the flat is at the top of a steep hill, though the views of London were wonderful from the top of the hill. The park was a great place to walk after dinner or just hang out and picnic on the weekends.

Tolle Lage für Familien, aber etwas dunkel

  • 3 of 5

Nice location, very helpful agent

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in the apartment for more than one week and it was a nice stay even though there were minor issues. The check-in day was Valentine's day and Friday that the traffic was deadly slow. We made the first mistake to get the key at the agent's shop instead of taking it at the apartment, which we could get rid of the traffic jam.

The apartment is a basement and there is no exit to the garden. It was a bit disappointed because it was not indicated clearly in the advertisement! The apartment has several problems: some lightings were not ON, TV was without signal, toaster and can openner was mal-functioning, cooking pan was no good, and there were some drainage problems. Jarvis came quickly and helped out everything in his best by replacement and/or worked out the solution to rectified the issues. After everything was cleared, our stay became much better. Although it is a basement, the lighting is acceptable. The location of the apartment is very close to the Greenwich Park which is really a good place for leisure. Driving down to the supermarkets took few minutes and it was very convenience. Parking outside the apartment was not an issue but I had to relocate the car to different parking bays in order to have free parking, from 9:00am to 6:30pm you can park your car in the parking bay for 2 hours before you need to relocate it. After all the apartment is good in the sense of value for money, space, location and environment.

I would recommend the owner to indicate clearly it is a basement and better to remove the garden view photo.

Nice surroundings, ideal for families

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in London was really exciting and the apartment perfectly suited our needs, with much space for eight people, two bathrooms and all the necessary equipment, tools, kitchen implements and accessories to eat at home if you want to. It is also conveniently located in very nice surroundings, with Greenwich Park just outside the door. The bus stop to North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line or Greenwich DLR station is a five-minute walk away, so you can reach downtown London very quickly. We definitely recommend this apartment to large groups and families with children, as you can visit London while enjoying a quiet and green neighborhood when you go back home.

Spitzen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

  • 4 of 5

Yes, it felt like home

  • 5 of 5

Our family (mum, dad + two teenage daughters) spent a delightful week in Greenwich. Julian and Francesca titled this apartment "Your Home Away from Home" - and that's exactly right, coming back after a long day of sightseeing felt like coming home.

The apartment is spacious, in fact exactly as shown on the photographs. Having a fully fitted kitchen is a great convenience.

As for the location, it is in a nice and quiet part of Greenwich. Maze Hill railway station is indeed very close to the apartment, with a regular train service to the city centre.

Getting to the Cutty Sark DLR station literally is 'a walk in the park' - although this was a bit further away, we mostly aimed for the DLR and enjoyed the stunning views over the Thames from Greenwich Park along the way. The apartment is a bit uphill from Greenwich town centre (the daughters thought it 'a steep climb', but that only shows their Dutch flatlandish outlook...), but you're rewarded with a great view!

We had planned to spend most of the week in and around the City, but ended up spending quite a lot of time in Greenwich itself, taking in the sights (Planetarium, National Maritime Museum, Greenwich town centre).

The owners were very helpful in the process of booking the apartment and provided lots of information to make our stay as agreeable as possible.

All in all: highly recommended!

We are in Central London Zone 2. Greenwich/ Cutty Sark for the DLR and Greenwich North Jubilee Line For the Tube.

1. Other option to move around is with the normal boats or on the over crafts.

2. Greenwich is famous for the Time line, Royal Observatory ,the Tudor Capital of London and also the Naval Centre for most of London's history.

3. Nearest Rail Station is Maze Hill. Maze Hill is 2 minutes from our door. Once on the train it is 15 minutes to Charing Cross, the Centre.

4. The second closest rail link is the overland rail service (Called the Docklands Light Rail DLR) about a 15 minute walk across the park (It has a pretty cool view and you walk past the Royal Observatory and the Naval College). The DLR pass through Canary Wharf the new spectacular financial capital or you can change at a number of stops along the way onto the tube which whisks you in to Parliament Square in about 10 minutes.
