Home is located in an awesome neighborhood! 5 minute walk to Hyde Park Square, or Mt. Lookout Square where many options for great wine/beer, fine and casual dining, coffee houses, and entertainment await you. 10 minute drive to downtown and stadium. Home has lg. deck with grill, beautiful landscaping, charming covered front porch. We have a lot of deer strolling around in our back yard, that are fun to watch. Central air, hardwood floors, granite countertops. Finished basement with wet bar. 2 bedrooms on first floor. 1 queen, 1 with 2 twins.sized beds, Master bedroom on second floor. Finished basement with full sized futon. Sunday Farmer's Market close by. Lots of shopping, restaurants, coffee houses in within short walking distance.
We are empty nesters. We moved from a 5 bedroom home out in suburbia to a smaller home in the city. We love it here. Barb is a retired public health nurse. Now is an adjunct nursing faculty for Xavier University. Home is kept meticulously clean and neat.
Barb and Chuck Brown purchased this house in 2013
It was love at first sight. The home has so much charm.
We love to walk, we enjoy going to lots of different restaurants, bars, and going to live entertainment. It's all now within a five -10 minute walk from our home. Or we can get to downtown Cincinnati, Riverfront Stadium, the Cincinnati Zoo, the Art Museum, or Conservatory, or horseshoe Casino in 10 minutes drive.
We stayed at the Brown home for 5 nights over New Years 2016-17. The home is delightful and welcoming. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked with useful amenities. Each bedroom is cozy and inviting.
The neighborhood is fabulous including a short walk to Mt Lookout Square for coffee, restaurants, etc..
The owners were very responsive to our needs and requests during our stay
Would stay again without hesitation!
We stayed here while visiting our son who attends UC. The house is beautiful and spotless, our family was very comfortable during our stay. Owners are wonderful and provide a quick response. It's located in Hyde Park near everything, University for Cincinnati, great restaurants, parks and downtown. Will definitely stay here again!
The home is as advertised. King, queen and 2 twin with a nice basement. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 kids, with 4-5 people stopping by to visit throughout the trip. We were always comfortable. There is plenty of seating, inside and out. Hyde park is a very nice area with people running and walking dogs. There are 2 shopping areas conveniently located no more than 2 miles away.
The home is actually lived in, but they offer you a variety of items in-house (fridge stocked with beer, water, gatorade, access to snacks, condiments...etc.), which was nice.
Only drawbacks would be that the old wood floors on the first floor are incredibly noisy when walking around at night.
And the tub on the first floor seemed to fill with water while showering. That's it. Everything else was great.
Home is quaint and decorated attractively. Home was stocked with essential items. If you love the outdoors, the back deck is like a tree house. Surrounded by trees, blooming plants and quite lovely. Truly, only issue with this property is parking. Very limited on street. Have more than 2 cars, someone will be parking up the street.
We rented this lovely home for a family weekend to celebrate our daughter's graduation. The home and gardens are lovely and provided the perfect location for spending time with family. The front porch is a peaceful location for coffee or a bottle of wine. We enjoyed nearly every meal out on the beautiful back deck which is shaded by a large tree and overlooks a sweet garden. The classic Cincinnati home was well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - easily accommodating 6 people. The home is clean and well maintained. The location is walkable to Hyde Park square and easy access to downtown and Xavier University. Parking is a bit tight on the street but we were able to accommodate a mini-van and a small sedan. Barb was a great host and I would definitely recommend this property to others.
This home is all you would expect from an upscale, cozy, comfortable home in Hyde Park. Great location for local and downtown events, restaurants and neighborhood charm. Very clean, well maintained inside and out. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are immaculate, kitchen is well equipped and clean!
Our family loved staying here, if it was warmer we would have loved to be out on the front porch or back deck. The owners were very easy to communicate with and more than accommodating. We hope to return whenever we need to be in Cincinnati.
Favorite restaurant Alfio's Buon Cibo in Hyde Park Square. Favorite bar, Unwind Bar off of Hyde Park Square. Favorite breakfast place, Echo Restaurant Hyde Park Square. Favorite coffee house Lookout Joe's on Mt. Lookout Square. The Sunday morning Farmer's Market on Hyde Park Square is a delightful outing during the summer. Noah's Ark is 44 miles away in Williamstown KY.
