About The Owner

Hi , welcome to out beach house. We purchased the property in the fall of 2014. We renovated this home with new bathroom , new kitchen , refinished floors and redid each room over. We wanted to keep the character of this beach house as a quintessential cape cod beach house. Our hope is that we created a comfortable home with all the amenities you would want while maintaining a relaxed, " hey I'm on vacation " feel.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2014

Why The Owner chose Mashpee Neck

We have been coming to the Mashpee/ New Seabury area for over 30 years and love it. Mashpee is in a great location because you do not have to fight the crazy traffic further down the cape. The house is close to beaches, shops, ferries to the Martha's Vineyard, nightlife, museums, hiking trails , bike trails, kayaking, sailing, fishing . Really anything you may want. The neighborhood is a private association with a small private beach, a separate picnic area and another area for fishing and kayaking, all ocean side.

What makes this cottage unique

We fell in love with this house because it is a traditional beach house, we preserved some of the original knotty pine walls in the kitchen to maintain the character, The neighborhood is very friendly and perfect for children. The yard is considered large for a beach house and we enjoy hanging out having a barbecue after a day at the beach. Young children love the private beach as it is so easy for Mom & Dad to keep an eye on the kids, you can leave your things at the beach and bring the little ones home for a nap.

Nice cottage in a good location

  • 5 of 5

This is a really cute little cottage in a quiet neighborhood that was equipped with everything we needed. The owner was very nice. She met us at the property to give us a tour and was easy to contact and communicate with throughout the whole process. The cottage itself was great - very clean and updated with AC and a washer and dryer. Plenty of space as well and a nice screened in porch. The yard is huge and has both a grill and chiminea. There is an association beach within walking distance - just be aware that the beach is small (better for little kids) but good for putting kayak or paddle boards in the water. It's also just a short trip to Mashpee Commons and the public (pay) beaches. We were very satisfied with this place and really enjoyed our stay. It was a great value as well!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived early and the owner gave us permission to enter. Sandi was warm and showed us the house and left us a " welcome basket " on the counter- that included age appropriate items for my seven year old daughters. This cottage really suited our needs for the first week in August. It was decorated with beachy theme - wall art, linen, baskets, pillows and dishes, rugs. This house has coolers, beach chairs, beach towels and plenty of bath towels. My daughters brought their bikes and I felt the area was so quiet and safe for them. We all felt comfortable and at home. I had my 80 year old mom with us as well, and my husband stayed 2 nights... the cottage had plenty of sleeping space. We all slept well- even on the bottom bunk. Sandi thought of all the details to make the cottage perfect for a week vacation on the beach. The granite countertops dressed up the kitchen nicely - the double window over the sink allowed for great sunlight. The yellow sunroom was bright and cheery.

We had friends staying in East Falmouth with a pool - so we were poolside a lot there.

One day we rode our bikes in Dennis on the CCRT.

I highly recommend this cottage!

It's got everything!!

Kleines sehr gemütliches Ferienhaus mit ausreichend Platz für 4 Personen.

  • 4 of 5

Small very pleasant holiday house with enough space for 4 people.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay in this small, furnished with attention to detail house. Cape Cod was just the place to a 1.5-week round trip (Boston - New York- Washington - Virginia Beach) kick back and just enjoy the beaches. For going to the beach but you should per day schedule, a budget of 14-20 USD for parking. Our Capa COD highlight was definitely the Hyannis Whale Watching tour that is highly recommended.

Owner's Response: Dear Thomas, We're so glad you enjoyed your stay in the U.S. and the house was perfect for your lovely family and provided enough room for your teen age children. Whale watching is one of our guests favorite activities because it is so close. Thank you again.

Perfect spot to relax at the beach!

  • 5 of 5

The house is perfectly located minutes from a beautiful public beach, shopping, a children's museum, excellent restaurants, ice cream and whale watching along with many other family activities. The house was completely furnished so all you need is your swim suit and a toothbrush, actually there were toothbrushes just in case you forgot yours. Games and goodie bags were left for the kids. The owners went the extra mile to make you feel at home and pampered. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated.

great vacation spot.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great property located in a very private and extremely quiet neighborhood. We stayed there for a week and everyone was nice and welcoming. It is a short walking distance to the association beach which is small but private, it seemed like we were the only ones there. The cottage itself was beautifully updated and very clean. Sandi and Gerry had thought about every little thing you might need, from beach toys to fully equipped kitchen, it truly felt like home away from home. Everything was clean, new and fresh! Mashpee Commons are literally a short drive away and it's a great spot for all your needs like dining out, shopping, groceries, pharmacy, etc. It is also near main roads that will get you to Falmouth, Hyannis or anywhere else you might want to go. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing vacation! Thank you Sandi and Gerry for your hospitality and welcoming us to your cottage, we had a wonderful week . - Joanna.
