'Ducks Ditty' is a three-bedroom purpose built holiday bungalow, specially converted to allow access for those with limited mobility. Special features include a ramp to the front door, which is widened to allow wheelchair access, sliding internal doors, lowered worktops in the kitchen, touch sensitive lights in each bedroom and a shower/wetroom including a shower wheelchair and grab handles next to both shower and toilet. Other equipment available includes a toilet 'raiser'. Please contact us for further details and our 'accessibility statement'.
The bungalow is at the popular 'Rosecraddoc Lodge', renowned for its peace and quiet, even during the peak season. Set in a wooded valley on the foothills of Bodmin Moor, in a rural setting, this is a wonderful place to 'get away from it all'. It's also a great touring base, with many attractions within easy reach, including beaches, theme parks, many gardens and even the Eden Project.
'Ducks Ditty' has three bedrooms, sleeping a total of up to five people. The main bedroom is a double, while the second bedroom is a twin and the third, accessible through the second, is a small single, ideal for a child or possibly the travelling carer/assistant.
The front door leads into the lounge, which includes a two-seater sofa and two armchairs, a television with Freeview box and video. The adjoining kitchen and dining area includes a dining table capable of seating five people. The kitchen includes a four ring electric hob, a low-level oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator and several low-level storage cupboards for cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, of which there is plenty.
Between the kitchen area and shower room is a storage cupboard that includes the electric meter (pound coins) and an automatic washing-machine. The shower room is especially adapted for wheelchair use, being entirely tiled and complete with a waterproof chair that can be used when showering.
There are grab-rails immediately next to the wash-basin, the shower and the toilet.
Outside the bungalow, to the front is a patio with furniture, ideal for a barbecue and evening drink. To the rear is the parking space with easy access to the back door into the kitchen area. The bungalow shares a grassed area to the rear with a rotary washing line assigned to the property.
Bed-linen and towels are provided free of charge and visitors arrive to a small supply of tea, coffee and milk. Dogs (maximum 2) are welcome but must be kept on a lead while on site. We ask that they are not left alone in the bungalow though and reserve the right to refuse certain breeds.
The bungalow is double-glazed throughout and therefore cosy during the off-peak season as well as the main summer holiday. It is one of several that we manage at Rosecraddoc, so if you have a larger party it may be possible for us to accommodate you all in more than one property.
Visitors have free access to WiFi.
I and my family had an absolutely brilliant stay at Ducks' Ditty and would thoroughly recommend the property.
The property is a good size for a family and it was in very good condition. The location could not be better for being able to drive a short distance and the inland attractions such as the local farm shops and theme parks.
The owners were very friendly and answered all of our questions thoroughly.
Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our stay and would gladly recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable getaway in Cornwall!

Great bungalow for those with limited mobility. My family from New Zealand joined me for a trip around Cornwall including my brother who is in a wheelchair and this was an excellent place to base ourselves. Thanks for a a great stay
A little home from home, located on a quiet and peaceful site which is an ideal place to get away from the hustle and noise of urban life. It is only a few miles from Liskeard road, bus and train transport links which allows you to explore all of Cornwall.
A very nice touch is the welcome pack consisting of some tea/coffee, a pint of mile and some sweet snacks to make you feel at home before you unpack. The bungalow info booklet contains all the info you need to familiarise yourself with the bungalow and answers most of the questions you may have on arrival.
The kitchen contains all the appliances and gadgets you will need to prepare and serve up a meal, which you can enjoy in the dining area inside or on the patio set outside.
A favourite of mine was the walk in shower, which was the ideal way to recover and refresh after a day of exploring or walking.
I would recommend a trip to Looe and Polperro as a starting point to your Cornwall adventures. For the more energetic walkers, the coastal path between Looe and Polperro is a must, providing a splendid array of scenic coastal views..
The bungallow consists of a double room, twin room (2 single beds), and a single room. Clean linen and towels are provided for each guest; the owners arrange the beds to be made up for the number of people in your group and so there is no need to bring bulky duvets, linen and towels.
Heating is mainly via a night storage heater, but there are 2 electric radiators which are useful on cold nights and just before you go to bed.
The owners are very friendly and customer focused; they appreciate any feedback to help improve customer satisfaction into the future and will try to sort out any problems you may have with the bungalow. I have stayed quite a few times in the owner's bungalows on this site and keep coming back!!!
It was a pleasure to stay yet
My dear wife and I, have hired this bungalow for the last two years, and while we are physically able to, we shall return again and again. On arrival, we have always found this property clean and well maintained.
It is most comfortable, with all the facilities accurately discribed, and the beautiful holiday village in which the bungalow is sited, has to be seen to be believed.
We can wholeheartily recommend this property to future guests.

Although Ducks Ditty is a wonderful place to ‘get away from it all’ and to spend time in a peaceful and relaxing environment, it's also well situated as a ‘centre’ from which to visit some of the many attractions in South-East Cornwall and South-West Devon.
The fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey are a short drive away. Golitha Falls are just a five minute drive from Mallards. Sibleyback and Colliford Lakes, both within 20 miutes, offer fishing and watersports as well as nature walks.
Ramblers have the expanse of Bodmin Moor, and even Dartmoor, given a short car trip.
Garden lovers and National Trust members are spoilt for choice in Cornwall. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydroc, Boconnoc, Cothele and many more.
Children can be entertained at many of the attractions in Cornwall, including Trethorne Leisure Farm (30 minutes away), or any of the beaches on the North or South coasts.
Of course, many of our visitors spend a day at the famous 'Eden Project', just a 40 minutes drive from Ducks Ditty, where you can sample the Mediterranean and Rain Forest biomes.
