Hobart CBD, Salamanca Strip and its Saturday Markets, numerous restaurants/cafes and ferries to Mona Museum are just 40 minutes away by car.
The two storey HOUSE, completed in 2018, with high ceilings, reverse cycle air conditioning and double glazing throughout, has stunning waterfront views from almost every room. No expense has been spared for your comfort.
4 BEDROOMS with two King Beds and two Queen Beds and are all fitted with crisp white linen, plush mattresses, pillows, quilts, and throws.
In Master Bedroom One upstairs you'll be lulled to sleep in this luxurious, chandelier King bedroom by the sound of waves lapping on the waterfront. The upper area also features a coastal inspired Bathroom, plantation shutters separating the bedroom from a sun drenched retreat, Netflix television, large walk in robe, extensive balcony and stunning waterfront views. During many months of the year, watch from your bed as the cruise liners slip into Hobart early in the morning and dolphins feed in the calm waters. Also enjoy the ever changing views over to Mount Wellington.
Master Bedroom Two downstairs is a second waterfront King bedroom with Netflix television, plenty of storage, large balcony and Adirondack chairs on the deck to enjoy the stunning water views.
Bedrooms Three and Four are sunny, good sized rooms with Queen Beds and plentiful storage.
Both BATHROOMS and a separate WC downstairs, with hand basin and mirror, have under floor heating for those colder winter months.
Walk in showers are luxurious and there's plentiful storage above and below the vanities.
Amenities include luxury towels, plush robes, body wash, hand/ body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, travel kit, tissues and hairdryers.
KITCHEN is flooded with morning sunshine and shares breathtaking waterfront views. It features extensive stone bench tops, high end dishwasher, wall oven, microwave, induction cooking with super quiet overhead range hood, spice drawer, large pantry, huge French fridge and coffee pod machine. All crockery, glasses, cutlery, platters, chopping boards, pots, pans and appliances are at your fingertips.
A sleek mirrored LAUNDRY located at the front door, also has an extensive stone bench top with a large Caroma ceramic basin suitable for bathing infants and toddlers. An under bench AEG washing machine and condenser dryer are available for your use.
A linen cupboard in the passage houses an iron and ironing board should you feel the need to get a bit domestic while in paradise. Upstairs also has its own iron and ironing board.
LIVING AREA bathed in afternoon sunshine, is warm and cosy with a chaise, leather sofa around a Jindara slow combustion fireplace. An ideal spot to enjoy gourmet Tasmanian produce with a glass of mulled wine or mug of hot chocolate on those chilly winter days. Soak in the warmth of the fire while reading, playing games or watching Netflix on the latest Samsung Frame television.
DINING caters for eight around a Willow glass table top and has waterfront views and a recessed, sunny library nook, also perfect for just sitting enjoying the views, reading or snoozing.
Books, games and a Yamaha sound system with CD's are supplied.
WATERFRONT DECKING is an expansive, two tiered deck, where long table lunches can be enjoyed and is just steps from the beautiful Half Moon Bay beachfront where activities are endless...
Take strolls or jog along the sandy beach, collect shells, take invigorating swims, build sandcastles, picnic on the beach, snorkel in the crystal clear water, go fishing, enjoy exploring on the rock platform (it's recommended you bring your own rock shoes for this), play cricket or football along the beach or just chill out as you gaze down the Channel and over to North Bruny Island and Mount Wellington (often snow capped in winter).
After a day of activity on the waterfront, spend the late afternoon relaxing outside on the deck indulging in more local produce : bubbles, oysters, cheeses, fruits and be treated to some spectacular sunsets over the water while watching yachts, cruise ships, dolphins, seals or even a whale passing by.
FRONT DECK is a sunny, sheltered area which can be used for entertaining when the winds are blowing in from the waterfront. A double hung kitchen window can be opened to act as a servery to this deck while still taking in the waterfront views.
PANTRY has all the basics including tea, coffee, drinking chocolate, sugar, jams, Vegemite, salt, pepper, oil, sauces, flours etc. A spice drawer is located under the induction cook top.
Bacon, eggs, milk, bread and butter will be in the fridge for your first breakfast.
A First Aid Kit, Fire Blanket and Fire Extinguisher are also located in the pantry.
LAUNCHING RAMPS for boats and jet skis are located in South Arm and Opossum Bay just minutes from our Beach House. The property has plenty of parking behind the gate to accommodate these big toys.
Take the boat out for some good fishing or zip across to Bruny Island to pick up oysters for lunch.
STORES in South Arm : 'Ye Old South Arm Store' is also the local Post Office and stocks the basic provisions including bread, milk, magazines, fishing gear etc and does take away food, including delicious chicken wraps.
A pharmacy, hairdresser and cafe are across the road from the store.
Opossum Bay, just minutes away, also has a general store and does great take away fish and chips.
Fuel can be purchased at both these local stores.
The South Arm RSL, with a bottle shop, is minutes away and serves evening meals and is also home to the Iron Pot Golf Course.
Lauderdale is 15 minutes away and a good place to stop and pick up provisions on your way to the beach house. Food shops, bottle shop, Medical Centre, pharmacist, fuel stations and cafes are across the road from the Lauderdale waterfront on South Arm Road.
Harmony Nursery, set just back from the main road, has a treasure trove of wonderful gifts and a stunning florist selection.
YACHTS: If lucky enough to book over Christmas, you'll witness the Sydney to Hobart yacht race directly out the front, as the yachts head towards Hobart. A truly spectacular sight!
SURFING: There are some great surf beaches down the South Arm Peninsula and include Roaring Beach in South Arm and Clifton Beach 15 minutes drive.
GOLFING: The RSL Iron Pot Golf Course is a 9 Hole course and only minutes from our beach house.
Royal Hobart Golf Course is an 18 Hole course and a pleasant 25 minute country drive.
Arms End 18 Hole International Golf Course, when completed, will also be minutes away from Half Moon Bay Luxury Retreat.
THE AREA of South Arm is renowned for its beautiful beaches, frequent auroras, occasional spectacular blue sea sparkles and whale sightings.
PLACES to VISIT: If you can bear to leave paradise for half a day, the Coal River Valley wineries and cheese outlets are a scenic country drive 40 minutes away.

Frogmore Creek which caters for children but is more suitable for adults is a must with complimentary wine tasting if dining in the stunning restaurant. Meals are entree size 'Art on a Plate' creations and are very satisfying!
Pooley's Winery does a lovely Sunday wine tasting with wood fired pizzas in a relaxed, alfresco lawn setting, great for kids.
Richmond Village is famous for its heritage stone bridge and heritage listed houses. The quaint village also has hotels, antique shops, an old fashioned lolly shop, ice cream shop, toy shop, cafes, bakery, French Home Wares Gallery with a multi-tiered Christmas shop upstairs plus numerous other delightful small shops where you can purchase more treasures to take home.
During the summer months, cherries, berries and stone fruits (particularly delicious apricots) are plentiful along this route and in some places you can pick your own.
Be as busy or laid back as you want, however we do recommend full week stays because once here you will not want to leave.
