This is a non-smoking cabin. Please note that the use of the pontoon, canoe & paddle boat is included with your stay at no extra cost.
Get away from it all and enjoy the vacation you and your family have been thinking about throughout the long cold mid-western winter in this all private, newly renovated beautiful log cabin that has two bedrooms on the main floor and a second story addition which includes a master suite that would envy that of almost any luxury hotel. The two bedrooms downstairs could sleep 5 comfortably as one has a double bed and the other has bunk beds consisting of a double on the bottom and a twin on top and a full bath that separates the two rooms, it also includes stackable washer & dryer.
The master suite has a king size bed, standing closet, 3/4 bath including a sunken spa tub with jet ports, sink & toilet. Enjoy an unbeatable view from the master suite through an entire wall of glass that over looks Leader Lake. If you get a little chilly at night click the field stone fireplace remote to get as comfy as you want or to simply enjoy the ambiance of this beautiful room with your partner. Feel the deep padded carpet beneath your feet when you take in the surroundings of this beautiful lake property from the master suite. There is also a loft upstairs separated from the master by sliding glass doors with room for an air mattress to sleep more people if needed.
The main family living room has a large field stone gas fireplace, ceiling fan, pullout sleeper couch and chairs to rest, talk amongst yourselves or to watch your favorite movies. Some may also want to get a little shut eye on the couch from time to time that is, if the rest of the family allows them to. If your party needs more room for sleeping bags this living area would be a great place for up to as many as 3-4 sleeping bags.
The kitchen is also recently remodeled to include a chefs gas stove/oven, refrigerator with water/ice, large dining table, buddy bar type serving table, a lot of natural light and beautiful resurfaced and polyurethaned log walls and wood work. No need to bring any of your kitchen from home as this kitchen has everything you will need when you make some of your favorite dishes from home or when you prepare your freshly caught walleye, northern, small & large mouth bass, bluegills or sunfish.
Throughout the day & evening everyone can sit and enjoy the sites & sounds of nature from the enormous screened in front porch which measure approximately 7' x 30'. The porch also has a refrigerator & gas grill. Enjoy your morning coffee while listening for the lakes loons singing their song or at night on the porch you can sit by light of the moon & the stars or turn on the porch lights. Just outside the porch is a charcoal grill for your use. You can also start a fire on the beach at night just a few feet from the large dock and surround it with your favorite campfire chairs and try to remember your favorite ghost stories to tell the others oh and don't forget the weenies and fixn's for everyones favorites... smores, I mean what's a campfire without smores.
If your not out on the five person pontoon, on the water in the paddle boat, canoe or fishing from the new aluminum dock then why not take a nice relaxing sauna from the log cabin sauna, located just steps beyond the main cabin. The outside was left original aside from a few new nails or screws but wanted to leave the exterior with it's original charm that can not be duplicated. The inside is a different story. There is a separate shower room just before entering the sauna, with new cedar lined walls and ceiling, benches and stove. After the sauna run if you dare to the lake for an immediate cool down in the warm water of Leader Lake.
Enjoy the 290' of sandy beach frontage, explore the property while there and pick your own blueberries (if in season), fish, swim, take a leisurely hike over the 15 acres and if you brought your atv's or utv's ride the sandy trials that are all around the area and most of all... Enjoy yourselves and each other in the deep woods of northen Wisconsin and make the most of your hard earned, well deserved vacation.

This is one of the oldist cabins on the lake serounded by large 100+year old pines on 15 acers and 290 feet of lake frontage remodeled by me about 12 years ago spent 200.000
we had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cabin this past weekend. I'd give it 6 stars if there was a way to do it. It was the perfect setting to get together with our kids and and their Grandpa. We were able to barbecue on one of the 3 provided grills, enjoy peaceful meals and a few late night cocktails in the screened in porch. We spent our days playing on the lake, swimming, cruising around on the provided pontoon (the lake is the perfect size for a quick sunset cruise) and fishing. Our 3 year old landed his first fish off the dock.
The cabin was well stocked with board
Games, books, and movies. The kitchen had everything we needed to throw together Some pretty good meals.
The lake and the cabin were so nice that we ran out of time and were unable to fire up the sauna...next time.
Thanks to the owners for letting us stay at your delightful cabin, we hope to be back again soon.
My husband and I and our water-loving retriever enjoyed a relaxing 5-day retreat at this cozy, well-stocked cabin. The spacious log and stone cabin is surrounded by trees at the top of a short, moderate stepped slope down to the dock and sandy shore. An adjacent neighbor is within sight but not too close. Perhaps the cabin's best feature is the big screened porch, which contains a large table and chairs suitable for meals and family gatherings. It was nice to relax on the porch and enjoy the breezes off the lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a large, well-stocked kitchen, plus towels, sheets, and blankets for the bedrooms. We appreciated having the pontoon boat available for fishing and touring the lake. Although the fishing was not spectacular, we caught two keeper-sized bass, one off the dock and one across the lake, plus some panfish. We saw loons, bald eagles, and herons daily. It was great to have a shallow, sandy shore for our dog to get in and out of the water, and the porch was a convenient place for her to dry off after swimming. We were able to get all our grocery needs met at Henson's Country Foods in Minong.
We had a great week at Leader Lake. The cabin has plenty of room and was very clean. The screened porch was awesome for great conversations at night. Families looking for a place this is for you. Enough room to spread out and just relax. You won't be disappointed.
