My name is Marti Smith Golson. I am a 36 + year resident of Bluffton. I grew up in Bluffton with my family and now I am raising my 2 sons with my husband in Bluffton. I privately own the cottage but also own a local real estate company, Martha Crapse Realty, that has been in our family for over 50 years. We specialize in rentals which lead me to converting the cottage to a short term rental. Myself or a family memeber are always close by for assistance during your stay. We take pride in our rental and our town. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our recently remodeled/updated cottage that my father built in 1980's.
This particular cottage offers old Bluffton comfort with the ability to either walk to local businesses or sites with the option to take a day trip to other area towns or cities.
Uniquely the cottage is just enough space and amenities to either stay a few days or months. Set back off the main drag... Enjoy the front porch to rock & relax or have guests over for dinner.
We loved our stay at 105 Lawrence. It was more than we expected. It had everything we needed. It was cozy and comfortable. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and the Thursday Farmer's Market. The owner went out of her way to provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay and she was always accessible if there was something that you did need that wasn't provided. We just loved it and will definitely come again.
Everything wen needed. Had a wonderful week. Walked to town every day. Mrs. Golson was a great host
We arrived very early at 6 am on Sunday morning and were able to go right into the house, which was great for us as we left at night from KY. I had ask Marti in a couple of emails back and forth before our arrival and she was always quick to respond and very accommodating. The home was very clean and had a lot of good calm energy inside and out. Abby and I enjoyed drinking a cup of morning coffee on the porch as our daughter (18 mos) walked around us and the yard, knowing she's safe on the dead end road. It felt like home away from home being able to cook and relax without having to get up and go right away.
Yama had never been to the Ocean before so it was perfect being only 20 min away, as we spent time there all of our 4 days in Bluffton. To be able to come "home" after fun times in the sand and sun and give her a bath then let her run around and play like she's used to at home was Great! Momma and I could take turns making dinner and cleaning up while keeping and eye on the little Miss.
Having the park at the end of the road was a nice touch as we were able to take a walk around with Yama in the stroller for a while then let her play and swing at the playground.
For us it was a great opportunity to grow closer as a family, enjoying quality time alone relaxing and creating memories that are priceless. Moments that will carry us through the challenging times along life's journey. To see your child and love light up in the waves of the ocean, to be buried by my girls in the sand, building sand castles for the little one to knock down with such a smile and happiness of accomplishment, and knowing that that joy of the ocean and beach will imprint are her heart are just a few moments this father will carry for a lifetime.
I carry much gratitude to Marti for opening her home to us and allowing us the opportunity to experience moments that are Joy and Happiness beyond words. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful place in Southeastern South Carolina.
Take Care and Safe Travels,
My husband and I stayed in this perfect cottage for our wedding week last September! Being from Bluffton and no longer living there I couldn't have asked for a better little Bluffton cottage to start our honeymoon. It's walking or golf cart distance to everywhere we wanted to be and backed up to a little wooded creek so you also felt seclusion and privacy. You will spend the majority of your time on the awesome porch (at least we did). Bring your eno hammock if you have one, there are already hooks up! The owner, Marti, was very accommodating the house's decor is so, so cute with local art; making us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!!
My husband and I had a wonderful time in this great little cottage right in the heart of historic downtown Bluffton. You can walk to all sorts of small shops and cute restaurants. Wonderful streets to walk with large moss draped oaks. The interior is very tastefully done and has everything you need for a pleasant visit. I highly recommend it!
Marti, We enjoyed staying at your quaint cottage so much, it is so comfortable, nicely furnished with everything we needed. It was great to be able to walk to Old Bluffton, all the shops and restaurants. I will definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family wanting to visit Bluffton, thanks so much!!
