About Tamara Mazurenko

We lived in the house for 20 years while my son was growing up and it has been a very happy home. I now live in a village close by and have a studio near Lamorna.

Why Tamara Mazurenko chose Mousehole

Mousehole has been a lovely village to live in, a really special place which has a lot to offer people of all ages. Within the harbour there are two beaches, cafes, restaurants, a pub, interesting craft shops and galleries and a useful newsagent shop. The location of the house is in a quiet traffic free area which is easy to get to, but hidden away. It is just a couple of minutes walk to get to the harbour.

What makes this house unique

The house is a light and airy peaceful place to stay with lovely views and comfortable beds. Relax out in the sun on the roof terrace and enjoy seeing across the village, while still in your own space. In the winter there is a wood burning stove in the lounge area which makes the house feel cosy and warm - there is nothing like snuggling up in front of a log fire!

Great little house close to everything

  • 4 of 5

A very homey home away from home. Well equipped, very nicely decorated and situated close to the harbour. Even had a little wood burning stove for a cold night.

Beautiful courtyard, stunning views and close to everything.

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was clean and the fresh flowers were a great welcome. The outside courtyard was a lovely place to relax. It had everthing you required for a very relaxing stay. Restaurants/pubs and harbour were within walking distance. Regular buses if you don't feel like driving. Mousehole is a beautiful place to visit.

Amazing Easter weekend

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned after an amazing Easter weekend at this property.

It is beautifully decorated and looks fresh and clean. The beds are so comfortable and there is everything you could possibly need supplied in the kitchen.

Mousehole is a lovely little village, with several places to eat. We tried 3 of them and were never disappointed by the food.

There is a lovely coastal walk to Lamorna, as long as you are happy with hills and mud, but the tearoom there does have a huge selection of delicious cakes.

I would love to return in the future

Lovely, spacious two- bedroom property in gorgeous little Cornish seaside town.

  • 5 of 5

We loved this unusual 2 bedroom house in a small 70s complex just minutes from the harbour in Mousehole. The property was newly decorated and fitted with a stylish kitchen and bathroom and everything was spotless and very attractive. Although we didn't use it, there was a wood burner , which would make this a great place to hole up in the winter. The bedrooms were spacious with very nice bed coverings and Tamara, the friendly and helpful owner, had left beautiful flowers in the accomodation.

As well as an outside sitting area off the kitchen diner , there was a wonderful roof terrace off the main bedroom with lovely views out to sea. The weather was great and we sat out a lot, even though it was October!

Mousehole is a stunningly pretty, well preserved, old Cornish village with a couple of shops, restaurants and pubs. The Old Coastguards Hotel, 5 minutes walk from the house, has gorgeous seaviews from its bar and a good, if a bit pricey restaurant attached.

We loved the location of this place for exploring beautiful West Cornwall- it was easy to get to Penzance, St Ives, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount, Falmouth and the Southwest Coastal Path is wonderful in these parts.

Ein hübsches und grosszügiges Appartement in verwinkletem Bau. Schwierig zu parkieren.

  • 4 of 5

Mousehole

All the attractions of this part of Cornwall are within easy reach of Mousehole. St Ives is not far away where you can visit the Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum as well as many other art galleries, restaurants and beaches.

You can take a trip over to the Scilly Isles for a day on the ferry from Penzance. Alternatively you might want to go by plane. (You can also book yourself flying lessons at Land's End Aerodrome).

Sennen beach is a long stretch of golden sand and a great place to surf. There are also surf schools on Porthmeor beach in St Ives and at Gwithian beach.

The Minack Open Air Theatre on the cliffs at Porthcurno overlooking the Atlantic ocean has a programme of plays all summer long. Below it lies the breathtakingly beautiful Porthcurno beach which is made up of tiny shells, some of them still perfect.

Cornwall has become a fantastic place to eat out, and there are many restaurants and cafes close by.
