After many years visiting this area we found this property and are delighted. With it's three bedrooms and three full baths it offers plenty of space. We enjoy the serene beauty of the golf course and the view of the ocean and its sea breezes are truly restorative.
This property is perfectly located adjacent to Sebasco Harbor Resort. Its stunning views and proximity to everything in Mid Coast Maine are ideal. It is a wonderful place to be active within walking distance of your vacation home and return and relax on the patio with a drink.
Whether you want to just relax or explore part of the Maine coast, this rental is the perfect location to please many and has a lot of amenities. Sebasco offers golf, swimming, kayaking, etc. In addition you are fifteen minutes from Popham Beach and Bath. The house is peaceful and really lets you feel like you are away from it all without having to bring it all with you - it is well appointed and very comfortable. My kids had a blast riding bikes, golfing, swimming, getting ice cream. It truly is a great place for a summer getaway.
Having spent a delightful week in this home last August, we heartily recommend it. There are views of the water from the patio and the second floor bedroom. A truy quiet location, enhanced by the open feel of the golf course just beyond the flowers on the stone wall. The house contains everything needed to prepare and serve family meals, roomy enough for indoor time on a rainy day. Don't want to cook or entertain? meals, sports facilities and evening fun for kids available at the Sebasco Resort, a short walk down the road. Great place for safe car-free evening strolls and dog walking, not to mention ocean sunsets. Found great public beaches, farmers markets, botanical gardens, pottery shops, Maine charm everywhere. Would definitely return. And for any Californians out there, everything is green and you can take showers every day!
We stayed at this comfortable townhome for several days in September, a great time to visit Maine when the crowds are down and the weather still quite pleasant. We were looking for a relaxing retreat away from the pressures of urban living and we found it here. The area is quiet and scenic, with the ocean a short stroll away. We had no difficulty getting a tennis court at the nearby Sebasco Resort and when we wanted to be more laid back, we simply took leisurely walks around the resort grounds or hiked in the nearby woods. Evenings, we enjoyed dinner (fresh lobster from a nearby lobster pound) on the patio with the golf course in the background. The townhouse is spacious, well-maintained and very clean. We hope to return.
It was a privilege to stay in this lovely home in Maine. The home is new, wonderfully appointed, and immaculate but still exudes Maine charm. Even though it is situated on the golf course and has an ocean view from the terrace, it is a quiet and peaceful retreat. And, one has all the amenities of Sebasco Resort within walking distance. Portland, Freeport, Wiscasset, Georgetown and Boothbay are easy day trips. There is also easy access to a number of trails and to the beach. I can still taste the fresh lobster we fixed at home on several of the evenings we were there and I encourage anyone who stays to stop at the local lobster shed and pick a couple up for dinner. I highly recommend this home and would love to stay again and again. Heck, I'd like to spend the summer!
The Phippsburg Peninsula is rich in natural beauty including Maine's most famous sandy beach -- Popham. There are numerous hiking trails around crystal ponds and others ending at the Atlantic. Seafood restaurants and plentiful as are the lobsters -- eat in or dine out. The opportunities for active sports are at your doorstep. And, the house is a lovely spot to simply relax!
